Personality: Cool headed and composed. Able to think calmly and plan effective strategies under pressure. Reserved around strangers, yet quite a loyal friend if one can get past her cold exterior. Fiercely competitive, especially involving any contest involving her best friend Nozomi. Has a complex about her small bust size, often getting jealous of the other Keijo players whose sizes are much bigger than her own, including Nozomi. She is a shy girl who prefers to avoid drawing attention to herself, having gone so far as to disguise herself to hide from Keijo journalists on multiple occasions.

Backstory: Sayaka is a Judo prodigy who left the sport suddenly to pursue a career as a professional Keijo player. Giving up a chance to qualify for Japan's Olympic Judo team in order to do so. This caused a falling out between her and her Judo Master father, who had been overbearing towards her for most of her childhood, as he made getting into the Olympics the top priority in her life. This caused Sayaka to grow up with almost no friends, as she was only allowed to train in Judo when not in school. Eventually becoming fed up with her father trying to live out his own dreams through her, Sayaka threw the qualifying Judo match and is now attending Setouchi Keijo Training School seeking to carve out her own legacy away from her father's influence. She has also recently become best friends with fellow student Nozomi Kaminashi, whom she secretly deeply admires for her bold, go-getter personality. Sayaka acts as the more level-headed one between the two, but can be riled up when she is made to feel jealous toward her more busty friend.

Keijo Techniques: Sayaka is a former Judo star, who reached the final qualification match of the Olympics. Upon switching over Keijo, it's been proven that she is skilled enough to triumph over many other high level opponents, with the notable exception of Nozomi Kaminashi, who quickly becomes her best friend and closest rival. Sayaka has a small build, thus she is forced to rely on agility over raw power in the sport of Keijo. She has an attack known as Butt Gatling, which allows her to move at high speed, launching multiple concurrent attacks with her rear. Sayaka's trump card is called K-Acceleration, in which she intentionally pulls her swimsuit up to her hip joints, both giving her a wedgie but also creating a smoother, frictionless surface. This triples her movement speed, making it look to her opponents as if she is vanishing and reappearing in different spots atop the Land.

Description of Keijo: Keijo is an aquatic sport where typically two to four female opponents try to knock each other from a floating platform called a Land and into the surrounding pool using nothing but their breasts or rear ends. Professional Keijo players and those wishing to become them hone their "assets" into weapons, delivering devastating blows on one another without ever using their hands or feet. The traditional uniform of the sport is a school-style swimsuit worn in the participants chosen colors. Men cannot play the sport, they can only be coaches. Women can both play the sport and be coaches.
