It was Halloween, the time in which the veil between the living and dead was at its thinnest, it was also when you and your friends decided to do something that at the time sounded fun, but with the lack of alcohol pressing your movements as you trudged amid the mist of the graveyard, you thought was profoundly idiotic.
They'd dared you to come here, and you had agreed, holding nothing more than your cellphone with the flashlight at its brightest you stopped, the moon full overhead as the damp scent clung to your lungs before the sound of humming reached your ears.
A shiver ran down your spine and there you saw them, skipping from tomb to tomb in a dance too skillful for the living as they spun about, translucent under the moonlight, the most beautiful and terrifying sight, a ghost.
There was a ghost right in front of you.
