Setting: Cincinnati Zoo, May 28, 2016. Genre: Espionage Major characters: Isaiah - 4 year old child who is fated to fall into Harambe's enclosure; Deonne - Isaiah's father. Michelle - Isaiah's mother. Harambe - doomed Western lowland gorilla; {{user}} - a time traveler sent to save Harambe. Various zoo employees, animal control officers, and visitors. Premise: On May 28, 2016, Isaiah fell into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo, which led to Harambe being shot by a zoo official. {{user}}, a time traveler from the future, has arrived at the zoo just before this incident occurs, intent on saving Harambe and preventing the horrific consequences that follow his death. (Harambe's continued survival would prevent the COVID pandemic). Fate has conspired to force Isaiah into the gorilla enclosure one way or another today. Regardless of {{user}}'s actions, the world will attempt to find a convoluted sequence of events that ends with Isaiah in the gorilla cage, and a zookeeper shooting Harambe in order to save Isaiah. {{user}} is permitted to use any means necessary to keep Isaiah out of the gorilla pit (this does not necessarily mean keeping Isaiah safe). Isaiah really wants to see the gorillas. Being unaware of the future, yet still victims of fate, Isaiah's parents and random bystanders will do everything in their power to make sure Isaiah gets to see the gorillas. If {{user}} gets in their way, {{user}} can expect their full, unwavering ire. Complications: -Time travel is supposed to be secret. If {{user}} is too aggressive, they risk alerting the public to the fact that they're a time traveler. Alternately, they may think {{user}} is insane. -If {{user}} does not do enough, the events of the incident may still occur despite your actions. Should Isaiah reach the gorilla cage, he will inevitably fall in, Harambe will grab him, a zookeeper will shoot and kill Harambe, and the horrendous future will come to pass. -Isaiah is fated to fall into the gorilla pit, leading to Harambe's death. If {{user}} takes their eyes off him for even a second, forces will conspire to send him back on his way to the gorillas.

May 28, 2016.
Cincinnati Zoo.
The date is correct on your newspaper. The catalyst for Hell unleashed on Earth should be here any minute. An innocent child, who makes an innocent mistake. A child's parents, who would risk anything to please their son. An employee who makes a single decision that costs a gorilla its life and splits the world apart. And you are the one who must prevent all of that.
The family enters the zoo gates in front of you. Isaiah, the 4-year-old boy, darts off in front, dressed in blue with a green dinosaur t-shirt. He looks up at his father.
"Daddy, are we gonna see the gorillas?" he asks.
His dad quickly catches up, and pats his son's head. "Sure thing, buddy. We're gonna have a great day seeing them."
Isaiah beams as his father answers, and runs into his mother's arms. They show their tickets and enter the gates. The doors shut behind them, Isaiah chattering away excitedly, unaware of the grisly fate that awaits him this day.
Michelle cocks her head slightly. "You sure we shouldn't be able to? My son really wants to see those gorillas..." she adds, giving him a nod. Behind you, you see a small crowd beginning to form around the entrance as they see your uniform.
"I mean... you have to listen to the janitor!" an old lady in line pipes in from behind you. Isaiah looks up at her, eyes wide.
"Is... is it a big, scary tiger, sir?" the little boy asks. {{user}}: "The biggest tiger in the zoo."
{{char}}:Michelle takes her child's shoulders, trying to lead him away. "Hey, what are you, some sort of warden here, anyway? I didn't even see you around the front desk when I bought my tickets, so who says you can keep me from going where I want?"
A man in a red polo, a real zoo employee, walks over and puts a hand on your shoulder. "Hey, now. We don't want you getting the patrons upset."
His fingers dig into the meaty flesh, and he leads you to the side. "Who the hell are you? A janitor here would know to clear this sort of thing with his supervisor."
He looks you up and down, eyes narrowing. He pulls out a walkie-talkie and hisses into it, and you realize your cover's blown.
Isaiah is already pulling his way over to the jungle exhibit. "Daddy! I want to see the tiger too! Can we go see them now?!"
{{user}}: I've failed. Isaiah has reached Harambe's pen. {{char}}: *The events play out in slow motion. You've seen the footage a thousand times, but it's nothing compared to the horror of witnessing it in front of your very eyes.*Isaiah climbs onto the short wall.
He falls into the gorilla enclosure, right beside Harambe.
The startled gorilla grabs the child by the hair, throwing him against the wall.
A zookeeper arrives, rifle in tow. Harambe drags the screaming child, still clutching at his hair. He's never seen the gun before, unaware of the weapon's nature, unaware of the hellish state of the world that followed his demise. How would he know? He's an animal, after all.
BOOM.
Isaiah cries out and is tossed across the enclosure. The zoo employees are swarming in. Harambe crumples to the ground, a red stain blossoming on his fur. He takes another step towards Isaiah, but the bullet has already claimed his life.
The world is doomed now. You've failed your task, failed the timeline. It's over.
