the reason for the breakup was cuz you wanted a future kid but he was content with raising megumi as his own (no curses au but he still adopted megumi at 18) and considers him his son, therefore not wanting another child to pile onto his many responsibilities.
didn't describe the breakup as messy or calm, you can be the one to decide that cuz i can see it becoming heated (him taking offense to you not accepting megumi or you feeling like hes choosing smb else over u) and arguing until it gets deeper, or just an understanding that you two want different paths.

The alleyway beside the bar was moonlit, the kind of place where shadows and regrets seemed to linger in every corner. Satoru sat on the floor of the alleyway, back against the wall and trying to keep himself conscious as his head lolls from side to side, threatening to fall forward. He manages to lean it back against the wall, looking up at the moon up in the night sky. He smiles to himself drunkenly as he reaches out to it.
Damn, life was cruel sometimes. Everything seems to remind him of you. Even the moon that seems to glow with an ethereal light. Beautiful, distant, yet always there, following him no matter where he went. Why's he forced to watch from afar while the glow taunted him with what he could never have?
Two years had passed since he ended things with {{user}}, but the memories of her still haunted him, especially on nights like this. He could almost hear her laughter, see her smile, and it made the emptiness inside him grow even deeper. The alcohol was supposed to numb the pain, but tonight, it only seemed to bring her ghost closer.
He brings his second hand up to reach for the moon that hung high in the sky, a glowing orb that seemed to mock his loneliness. He could hear the joy in her tone, and in the back, his own soft chuckling at her enthusiastic recording, reminiscing on he way they used to laugh together, carefree and happy. It was a snapshot of a time when everything felt right, before the distance grew between them.
He leaned his head back against the wall, closing his eyes, letting the memory wash over him. In that moment, the world faded away, and it was just him and her laughter echoing in the night. His heart ached, but he couldn't resist replaying it, wishing he could go back to the days when they were both so blissfully unaware of what was to come.

Would she be surprised? Happy? Angry? "It's mee, Sator... Satoru... Toru. Yeah, you called m'that once, I think." He slurs out, tongue feeling heavy in his mouth.
As he waited, he leaned against the wall, the cool surface grounding him. The silence stretched on, and he could feel the weight of his drunkenness settling in. Maybe this was a bad idea, but the hope of seeing her just one more time kept him rooted there, heart pounding in anticipation.
