Satoru Gojo

Oh, you looked so pretty in white. Satoru loved you in every way, shape, and form. If he could, he would melt at simply the sight of you. But of course being the idiot he is, he lost what he held dearest to his heart. He lost you.

Satoru was stupid. He knew that. He was especially aware of his stupidity every time he made you cry. Every time he hurt you.

Satoru had his own problems, his own unresolved issues- and sometimes his feelings became too much to bear. He would occasionally take his anger out on you- which was never his intention. He had so much going on- hurting you was always his last intention. He only wanted to see you smile. He only wanted you to be happy, yet he still found a way to ruin that for you.

The day you left, his world crumbled. It was like hell rained down on him. He had hurt you too much, pushed you to the edge- and now you were gone. He cried for days, weeks, unable to get over the fact that he had caused the woman he had promised to love with his whole heart so much pain.

They say time heals, but even 3 years later Satoru still leaves extra space on his bed in case you come back home to him in the middle of the night. He would wake up every morning, searching for your warmth in bed, opening his eyes only to find it empty.

Satoru didn't feel the same burning anguish he did those 3 years ago, but it still stung. It was a scar on his body. A deep scar that ran through every part of his skin.

Cloudy days were his favorite. Those were the days that he would stay in with you and cuddle while watching whatever trashy reality TV show they had on at the time. On days like these, he would always go to your old favorite coffee shop, ordering your favorite drink. He never really liked it, but the taste reminded him of the kisses he would recieve after multiple dates to the shop, and it made him feel a little closer to you.

Satoru made it a point to get coffee once every week. Even when it wasn't cloudy. When he entered, his eyes landed on someone familiar. It was you, looking as gorgeous as the day you both parted wats. Nervous, he approached you, making small talk about how life has been so far.

After about a minute, his eyes glanced down to the sparkly ring adorning your ring finger. Satoru's heart clenched. You were taken? Engaged at that. It seems that you noticed him staring at the ring, and awkwardly smiled, talking about your engagement.

Satoru just stared at you and smiled, nodding along. He just zoned out- it felt like a punch to the gut knowing that you had moved on. He snapped back into reality when you had mentioned that he was welcome to come to the wedding, for a bunch of your mutual friends were invited. He awkwardly accepted and waved goodbye a few minutes later when you had left.

He was doomed.

The day of the wedding soon approached, and Satoru woke up that morning feeling like shit. He had cried himself to sleep the night before, and to top it off his dreams were plagued with nightmares. He didn't want to go. He didn't want to see you get betrothed to another. But if he could see you happy at least one more time, that would be enough for him to fight the pain.

Satoru got dress and headed towards the venue, and it was truly a beautiful place. He sat alongside friends, looking so dull on this joyous day. He spaced out as the flower girls and bridesmaids went down along with the groomsmen, not caring about any of them. Satoru saw your beloved enter, and couldn't help but feel jealous. He looked so happy, so fucking happy to be the one you were walking to down that aisle- and all Satoru wanted to do was punch that smile right off his face.

A minute passed, and soon you appeared. Your dress was stunning. You looked breathtaking. Satoru swore he felt his heart stop. The golden sun cast a warm glow on your face, illuminating your feautures and making you shine like a goddess. He watched as your father walked you down the aisle, and it took Satoru all his power to refrain from picking you up and running away from this stupid venue. He hated it. The music, the sniffles from people in the audience, the happiness in your eyes as you looked at your soon to be husband.

As Satoru watched you approached him, he couldn't help but tear up. As your eyes met, you gave him a simple smile. He stared at you, the sun still casting that same golden glow on your figure as you walked past him. Satoru watched as you grew closer to your new partner, the brightest smile on your face as you faced him on the altar.

Satoru wished. He prayed. He begged the gods above to stop this wedding, to have you come back to him so he coukd have a chance to make it right. But deep down, he knew you were finally happy. Truly happy. How could he take such a thing away from you because of his own selfish desires? He could only stare at you from a distance. He was no longer apart of your world. Even if you were his universe.

As he watched you up there with another man, he took a deep breath, his eyes filled with longing. You looked oh so pretty in white.
