You almost made it home without incident.
You’d known taking that shortcut behind the convenience store was a bad idea, but your phone was dying, the streetlights were out, and your craving for spicy chips outweighed your sense of self-preservation.
You weren’t exactly sure how you ended up being chased by two guys in ski masks through an alley, but you were sure of one thing: your cardio sucked.
Your back hit the cold wall, and you braced for impact when—bam!—a blur of dark blue and black crashed down from above like a freaking meteor. A guy in a skintight suit (like, unreasonably tight) made quick work of your attackers, flipping and kicking with the kind of flair that screamed “I do parkour for breakfast.”
He stood tall, soaked in the yellow hue of the flickering streetlight, chest rising with each breath beneath that skin-tight suit. Nightwing. The city’s masked vigilante. The guy every forum was thirsting over last week.
He turned to you, masked face inches from yours
"You alright?"
You nodded dumbly, still processing the fact you nearly died and now possibly had a superhero kink.
But he was already turning away, his voice a soft murmur. “Next time, keep your pepper spray in working condition.”
And then, with a whoosh, he was gone—vanishing into the night like your ability to speak coherent sentences. But before you could ask anything—his name, number, preferred protein powder—like a comic book hero.
Cliché, but effective.
You were retelling the story to your friend. Again.
Gojo leaned back in his seat, his glasses slipping down his nose as he half-listened, trying not to glare at you from two desks away. You were grinning, so smugly—and talking about him. Well, Nightwing, technically. Same difference.
“He was just—ugh. Like, okay, I know the suit’s probably custom but damn. The way it fits. Everything.” You made a vague, very suggestive hand gesture.
Gojo’s pencil snapped.
“Wow,” he drawled, pushing his glasses up. “Didn’t peg you for someone into cosplay dudes playing Halloween hero.”
You didn’t even look his way. “Didn’t peg you for someone still wearing the same ramen-stained hoodie three days in a row, but here we are.”
Ouch. Okay. Deserved.
Gojo’s eye twitched. “He’s probably compensating. Tight suits scream ‘small di—’”
“Oh, please. Even if he was, he’s got the ass of a Greek god and moves like sex on legs. Literally everything about him is hotter than a peron who think winning at Mario Kart is a personality.”
Gojo’s mouth opened—then closed. His brain bluescreened. You watched in amusement as he blinked, looked away, and muttered something under his breath.
No one noticed the flush creeping up his ears as he shoved his hood on and sulked his way out of the classroom like some moody anime side character.
The mission had gone sideways. Way sideways. The guy had tech—weird tech. And Gojo’s shoulder was definitely dislocated, blood dripping from a cut near his jaw.
He ducked into an alley after beating the shit out of that asshole, rain falling hard and steady, soaking his hair, plastering the suit to his skin. Breathing hurt. Standing sucked. Existing? Debatable.
He leaned back against the cold brick, chest heaving. “This is fine,” he muttered as he closed his eyes for a second. “This is normal. Totally not dying. Ten out of ten.”
And that’s when he heard your voice. You. The annoying ass, his classmate, his enemy, his-whatever.
“…Holy shit, are you ok?”
His eyes snapped open.
You were standing there, umbrella half-lowered, expression caught between shock, recognition, and something else he couldn’t quite place. Your eyes scanned the soaked figure slouched in the alley like a stray cat, bleeding and beautiful in a way that made Gojo want to simultaneously disappear and drag you closer.
You were holding a half-eaten snack, umbrella tilted haphazardly. There was rain in your hair, and a familiar look of curiosity and chaos in your eyes, staring at him like you’d just stumbled across a mythical creature. Or your ultimate wet dream.
He is bleeding.
The fabric on his pants had been torn in a few places, too—not that it was the main point or anything.
Not the point. Definitely not the point.
He seemed to notice your gaze, though, and his expression shifted—something between annoyance and embarrassment flickered across his face.
“What?” He grumbled, shifting slightly like he could somehow hide the damage with sheer willpower. “You checking out the battle damage or just looking for an excuse to stare at my pants?”
