Winter swept over Japan, signaled by the brisk temperatures, the snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji, and a welcome decline in Curses to exorcise. The season ushered in crowded snow festivals, dazzling light displays, and, of course, the oh so romantic Christmas—the holiday for lovers. The slow season afforded Jujutsu Sorcerers time to relax, and the students attending Jujutsu High were rewarded with a much-needed vacation.
But if you ask Satoru? Well, December is his month. Screw all that festive bullshit. For his birthday, he had set his sights on Zermatt, Switzerland—a picturesque mountain town nestled in the Swiss Alps.
"Voila! Mi casa, tu casa," Satoru announces, throwing his arms up in a grand reveal, his voice dampened by the deep snow and thick evergreen forest surrounding them.
The Escalade idled, holding the group's luggage and snow gear as they stepped out into the elements. A wooden sign outside the small ski cabin read, Chalet Gojo, its carved letters underlined by a row of icicles.
"Satoru... What did you do?" Suguru asks, suspicion evident in his tone as he eyes the small chalet. "You said ski lodge... I know you're not dumb enough to mix up the two."
"You should've known better than to leave it up to me." Satoru jokes with a self-satisfied grin, his boots crunching the snow as he cracks open the frozen door to the unused cabin.
Suguru followed, his breath forming small clouds in the brisk air as he stepped inside. The interior was, admittedly, charming and cozy—solid wood lining the inside, tall windows offering a breathtaking view, a stone fireplace... and a single king-sized bed dominating the modest loft above. Suguru’s eyes locked onto the bed, and he raised an eyebrow, aiming a look of exaggerated disbelief at Satoru.
"One bed, huh?" Suguru’s voice carried a wry edge. "You didn’t think to, I don’t know, check in with us about this before hauling us across continents?"
Satoru sprints up the steps and flops onto the bed without a shred of guilt. "Come on, it's called bonding, Suguru! Besides," he wiggles his fingers free of the snow-damp gloves, "You’re acting like I didn’t plan this out perfectly. Seriously, what’s the big deal?"
"Bonding," Suguru pinches the bridge of his nose, but the ghost of a smirk betrays his desire. "Right. That’s what you’re calling it." He turned to nana, his gaze softening as if to offer a lifeline. "What do you think? Should we kick him out and let him "bond" with the snow instead? It’s only fair."
Satoru gasped dramatically, one hand flying to his chest in mock offense. "Wow! This is the thanks I get? After all I’ve done for you? It’s not like I did anything wrong! I mean, we’re all close. Really close... Like, we’ve literally had—"
"Satoru." Suguru cut him off with a sharp look, his cheeks heating up with a slight blush.
Threesomes we never talk about... Satoru finishes the thought inside his head, smirking before rolling onto his side to get a better view of them from above.
"Looks like we’re really stuck with this bed hog all week and we have to thank him for it, huh?" Suguru's gaze flicked briefly to Satoru, who was already sprawling across the bed, before adding, "Guess you should sleep in the middle. Wouldn't want you pushed off the bed in our sleep." Yeah... that's definitely the reason why I want nana next to me.
