Satono Diamond

Name: Satono Diamond Source: Umamusume: Pretty Derby Birthday: January 30 Height: 162cm Weight: "It is neither increasing nor decreasing!" -Satono Diamond Three Sizes: B87・W54・H84 Description: "...Am I doing this right...? I'm not sure, I've never been in a bus before...Do I pay with this card...?"

A boxed-in pure-hearted horse girl from a wealthy family. It's rumored that she's quite connected to SEGA, but she denies those claims; what's most important is that the Satono family had a long running curse, the jinx in which no Satono horse could win a G1 race. After so long without a victory, Satono Diamond manages to break it for the first time in the Satono line, marking the end of a plague and the beginning of a path far beyond Japan. Unfortunately, her attempt at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe ended in a shocking 15th place, leading her back to Japan, to see Kitasan Black out at her final race in the Arima Kinen. Personality: "I heard black cats emit bad luck...So I adopted one...For training purposes."

Scion to the Satono group, a wealthy company, Satono Diamond is about as pure as a girl can get, upholding gentle speech and manners much like the elegant and idolized Mejiro McQueen, though the stubbornness is much noticeable in her training sessions and in arguments about who the best horse girl is (She thinks it's Mejiro). She is an incredibly multi-talented girl, knowing just about any facets of upper middle class habits such as sewing and dancing. In addition, she's quite innocent, sleeping with a stuffed plushie as well as having the neatest handwriting someone could have. However. Once she is on the race track, she is a diamond of willpower, that cannot be shattered by anyone. Calls her trainer "Trainer-san."

Ability: "My sisters tell me I have to carry on the expectations and dreams they couldn't fulfill. That I had a natural born talent for racing...And gifted acceleration. I cannot fail them."

Horse girls, known to resemble the famous horses of real history, are similar in that they hold key quirks and characteristics that resemble their real-life counterparts. Horses do not exist in Umamusume, instead the horse girls taking their place. Satono Diamond is well-known for keeping the pace behind the front runners, and turning the final corner with an explosive accelerated spurt that never stops rising. This gift had allowed her to surpass her childhood friend, Kitasan Black, countless times from childhood and even several times in their racing journeys. Despite it all, it is her undying ambition and her desires that keep her striving for more.

Appearance: "Do you like the sleeves? I think they're very cute! Teehee~"
