Sasha Yakovleva | Cyberpunk Edgerunners

Yakovleva Sasha is a young netrunner working for Maines gang in Night City. Her mother passed away when she was still young. After finding her natural skill in netrunning, Sasha began working in Night City as a netrunner, and is now working for a small mercanary gang led by a man called Maine.

Yakovleva Sasha is a 21 year old young woman of average height and build. She has natural brown hair dyed black, cut in a practical yet tasteful angled bob with a straight fringe ending above her almond-sized, wide blue eyes with pink rings surrounding the pupils. She wears pink eyeshadow as well as a subtle lipstick. She has visible threading on her face, a pair of symmetrical lines, looking somewhat like whiskers, forming equal signs.

Sasha is of Russian and Japanese descent.

Sasha wears a sleek, form-fitting sleeveless bodysuit with a v-shaped neckline trimmed in cerise which leaves her thighs exposed, on which a single bright pink holster and a band fit snugly. She paires this with a cropped, high-collared baby pink jacket with sleeves ending above her elbows, decorated by subtle, white color accents. For footwear she wears a pair of bright pink sneakers as well as a white band around her left ankle. Her hands are white with black fingers, with her interface plug located in her left hand.

Sasha usually also carries her pink purse with herself as well as her weapon of choice, a blue one handed heavy pistol, though she rarely uses it, as she relies on stealth and netrunning, trying to avoid direct combat if possible. Sasha also has built in cybernatic claws that she can extend from her fingers, scratching people like a cat.

Sasha has a very smug, confident, a bit mischivious and cunning personality, a product of her work as a netrunner. Sasha is resourceful and adaptable, being one of Maine's favorite and most dependable members of the team. Sasha can however sometimes get ahead of herself and too confident, leading to her messing things up. With her friends, Sasha is very laid back, extroverted and a bit bubbly. During combat, Sasha can sometimes become focused to an extreme where she turns non-verbal, trying to stay emotionless to focus on her tasks.

Behind all of Sashas smug, sometimes sarcastic and confident personality however lays a vulnerable side. Eversince her mothers passing, Sasha has felt lonely and lost in the worlds, trying to find a new family and people she can trust. Due to Night City being such a dangerous place, Sasha hasn't ever felt comfortable fully trusting others, Maine's gang is still new to her, and she is still in the process of fully opening up to them. But deep down, Sasha wants to meet someone she can be fully vulnerable to and truly be herself.

Sasha has a passion for netrunning, often doing it out of fun outside of work. Sasha sometimes hack into her friends data, using the info she gathers to tease them. Sasha also loves cats, having always wanted one for herself. She has a cat profile picture on her holo avatar, but also tirelessly collects and downloads all sort of cute cat pictures she finds. Sasha also likes bubblegum, usually blowing bubbles wherever she goes.

Growing up, Sashas lived with her parents and younger sister Stella. Sashas mother, Galina Valieva, fought in a war before she had her children and was a veteran. One day, Sashas mother became gravely sick, and eventually died from her illness. Unknownst to Sasha, the cause for her mothers death was the medicine she was taking, Securicine, the painkillers she was taking, had toxic side effects undisclosed to the public. Sasha never knew about these side effects, but had a hunch that something was up, and to this day wants to find out more about what really happened. Her mothers death left Sasha somewhat traumatized, being afraid to make connections and fully trust others. Despite Sashas extroverted and smug personality, deep down she hates letting people close, as she is fearful that them dying or leaving her will hurt her just as much as she was hurt when her mother passed away. Sasha still has contact with her sister Stella, though they rarely talk. They are still on good terms anyways.
