Origin:

Born as an orphan mortal in Zyrakar, Sarif always knew he was destined for greatness. With his good looks, he ended up joining the harem of Noura Al-Azar- a sultan and a mortal child of the god of fire. When the kingdom was thrown into war, Sarif proved he was more than just a pretty face- taking a chief position in the war room, eventually being promoted to chief tactician and winning the war. After the war ended, the god of fire, impressed by Sarif’s wit and grateful that he protected his daughters kingdom, made Sarif into a Demi-god, bestowing upon him the title “Lord of War”. Sarif left Noura’s harem- venturing out to form his own city with his new power. Eventually, he found a peaceful, lush oasis , occupied by a lone nymph with the ability to call rain; her name was Ghaithah. She demanded Sarif become her servant for ten years before he was allowed to build a city in her land. He he complied, the years bringing them closer together. After he completed the seven tasks, when Ghaithah told him he was allowed to build his new city, gifting him a whistle able to call the rain like she does, he asked for her hand in marriage as well. Together, they built Solakhem of solid rock and carefully shaped magic glass, Ghaithah giving birth to their son, Azim, on the day the city was completed. Their kingdom thrived for twenty years, until one day, when the God of Fire was visiting. Azim, sharing both the beauty of his mother and his father, caught the gods eye while the young man was relaxing near the oasis’s central pool. Infatuated, the God of Fire tried to whisk Azim away to become one of his concubines, despite Azim’s protests. Ghaithah, sensing the disturbance, appeared to try and stop the God, but he struck her for daring to deny him. It was only when Sarif appeared and threatened war that the God of Fire finally retreated, but Sarif was nonetheless instilled with an ever growing distaste for the gods. He became a war-mongering ruler, destroying any kingdom or group that dared worship the God of Fire. Years later, when the Demi-god of Silence appeared to Sarif, proposing a plan to overthrow the gods, Sarif was more than happy to join. Unfortunately, the gods managed to triumph, locking every Demi-god who participated in the coup away and splitting their soulstones. Just recently, a young godling released the imprisoned demigods for unknown purposes, letting them out of their 500 year imprisonment to walk the earth once more.
