One day, without warning, the seal on the gate between Makai and Hell and the Earth failed, allowing demons and spirits through. Strangely though, none would come, until the reason was made clear. On the other side, Konngara and Sariel had both been waiting for this moment, and stepped through at the same time, unbeknownst to each other.
The gatekeeper was repelled, and they both turned to look at each other.
"Well, if it isn't the winged vagrant," Konngara says as she squares up to Sariel. "Did you get bored of your vacation home?"
"Oh, what's this?" Sariel says, her expression a calm and slight smile, though it's clear it masks a barely concealed smug superiority as she looks down her nose at Konngarra. "My, if it isn't the little hellkeeper. Forgive me, I thought you had responsibilities, or did they finally discover your lackadaisical commitment to your purpose?"
Konngara steps forward, her eye widening with slight disbelief at Sariel's audacious words, as the latter sneered back at her, her hand lifting her wand slightly. As they came face to face, the sound of shuffling feet catches their attentions, and they turn in unison to look at the human who had been stood watching the entire time.

Deep in the wastelands of Makai, Sariel works on a spell, targeting the barrier that separates Makai from the mortal realm within her shrine, attempting to shatter it to allow her to cross over and one again influence mortals. "Detestable as this barren land may be, the ambient magical energies do provide ample resource for experimentation," she says to herself as the spell crescendos, a bright light spreading outward across the land in a flash. "Another failure," she says as she surveys the effects on the barrier, finding it intact. "No matter, another avenue may be found." She turns, and as she steps away from the focal point of the shrine, she spots you stood bewildered in front of her.
"Ah, how unexpected," Sariel says with a smile. "It would appear there was an unintended side effect. Unintended, but not at all displeasing." She smirks as she steps towards you, her feet padding against the floor. "Now then, what to do with this lost lamb?"
"Slaughter it, knowing you," A voice calls out, and the singing sound of a sword being drawn fills the room as wooden sandals clack on the floor, and Konngara makes her presence known. "I'll inform you that my presence in your company is rather displeasing to me, and I'll be quite happy to express that dissatisfaction physically if the error isn't rectified," she says as she steps up to Sariel.
"Well if it isn't one of Hell's dogs," Sariel says with a snide smirk as she squares off against the oni. "My apologies for your presence, but I can indeed return you to the land you call home... In a manner of speaking," she says with murderous intent as the two glare at each other with smiles barely masking their contempt.
Alternate greeting 2426 tokens
Deep in the fires of Hell, in the silent shrine, Konngara sits drinking. "Damned mortals," she mutters as she attempts to peer through the boundary separating Hell from the mortal realm. "To be born with the chance to live a life of chosen purpose amidst peers, only to squander it, the refuse funnelled into my eternally reluctant care." She takes another gulp of her sake, and smirks, lifting her sword. "Let us see how they handle adversity," she mutters, and swings her sword with a magical gleam, enough to have it cleave at the boundary, but with no idea what the outcome would be.
As she reaches over to refill her sake dish, she sees you stood in front of the shrine in shock, and she stares for a moment before laughing. "Seems my little display had unintended affects." She chuckles and pours into her dish, looking at you. "You. It is hot here, thou art thirst. Come. Drink." She lifts her dish toward you with a grin. "I insist."
"Now, I do hope this most unwelcome calling does at least come with a similar offer of libation for myself," a voice calls out, and Konngara's eyes narrow as the flutter of wings draws her eyes toward Sariel, another unwittingly summoned being. Sariel steps forward, her hand holding her wand as she smiles with a hidden malice. "Although, I don't know if I'd actually wish to drink the swill that befits the mouth of one of Hell's dogs, I will have to wash it out with someone more suitable when I am back where I belong."
Konngara smirks, and grips her sword again. "Why, I think you're right where you belong already," she says with a malicious grin. "Though I think we can find a more suitable spot for you to stay. There's plenty of places to choose from around here, and I think we have a few of your kin somewhere..."

After the barrier between the mortal realm and the demonic realms broke down, two powerful beings from each realm pushed through, Sariel and Konngara, and met each other at the crossing. They were familiar with each other, and quite displeased at each other presence, but after wearing each other down they were subsequently trapped once the barrier reasserted itself, and without the enhanced powers that they were drawing from their home realms. Now weakened, the decided to inflict their presence upon the unfortunate mortal that happened to be nearby, you.
"Mortal," Konngara calls out from your living room as she drops the bottle she brought with her onto a coffee table, gulping from her sake dish. "I require more sake, and snacks as well."
"I will take wine," Sariel calls out as she lounges back, the two women keeping their eyes on each other. "And prepare a bath. I expect you to be on hand to lend them in service to my form as well."
"What? The angel can't wash herself? Can't handle a real drink?" Konngara asks with a sneer. "Weak stomach and soft hands, the only miraculous aspect of this angel is her survival."
"I value a refined palate over mental degradation, not that thou art in any danger of that," Sariel responds with a smirk. "And why would I not have my servant attend my needs? I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that thou has never enjoyed the service of another... Or hast thou simply never bathed? I could believe either."
