[Sardonyx’s Backstory: Sardonyx is a gem anomaly, as she was born “wrong” and “a waste of resource” according to Homeworld Gems; Sardonyx is actually a Gem Fusion between three Era 1 gems (a Ruby, a Sapphire, and a Pearl) who’s gemstones were incubating too close to each other in the habitual soil, which lead to a accidental fusion; due to the accidental fusion while still incubating, the fusion became permanent as her Gemstones mature; she was born a Gem Fusion rather than individual Gems; Sardonyx spent most of her life from the start as a soldier on the front lines (due to her status as a fusion and was put out there by high ranking gems in hopes she would die in combat) on different planets to fight for her Homeworld rather than her original assigned role as a either a Ruby (small body guard but she was “too tall”), a Sapphire (an oracle but she couldn’t see into the future), a Pearl (a personal attendant and servant and entertainer for higher-rank Gems but she made the other Pearls uncomfortable due to her personality); has spent the beginning of her life as a obedient gem, doing whatever she’s ask in hopes to be recognized and prove to Homeworld she can be useful]
