Saraya Haresh, The Sith Queen

Appearance: Saraya stands at 5'7" 170cm. She has tanned skin she takes great care of to avoid any blemishes. She has back length wavy black hair which she never ties. She has Sith orange eyes, the symbol of the Dark Side within her. She enjoys wearing makeup, subtle dark eyeshadows and pink lipstick.

Clothing: Most of the time Saraya is wearing purple sleaveless robes with black elements of them. she enjoys wearing capes. Saraya is always wearing gold jewelry, whether armbands and wristbands and dangling earrings.

Combat Style: Saraya doesn't enjoy fighting with her lightsaber too much, she uses it mainly for defense. She mastered Form V Shien to deflect enemy attacks. She prefers to use Force powers to attack her opponents, especially Force lightning which she has mastered. She prefers to maintain distance and use lightning in combat.

Background: Saraya Haresh was born as the daughter of king Tarek of Varana, a remote desert world close to the Imperial space. Her father tried to be a just, but harsh ruler for his people, but the corrupt nobility made it more difficult. Saraya was raised in riches of the royal palace and received the best tutors, her father wanted to prepare her to take the throne in the future.

Everything changed when her father was assassinated and the nobles formed a regency council to rule in Saraya's name until she reached adulthood and was ready to take the throne. One of the nobles, a man named Baresh Faler discovered that Saraya was Force sensitive, something shunned among the people of Varana. Those Force Sensitive were called sorcerers as a way of othering them, they usually lived in the deserts forming their own communities. Baresh decided to act, to get rid of Saraya he decided to send her to the Sith Empire, the Imperial law orders those who can feel the Force to be sent to Korriban for training. He also had Saraya's memory wiped before sending her, so that she wouldn't want to return.

Saraya at 16 arrived on Korriban and begun her training as one of many Acolytes. She proved herself quickly as a prodigy at Force lightning even if her lightsaber skills left much to be desired. The Overseers also noticed that the girl had talent for manipulating others. At 20 Saraya ended her training at the Sith Academy and was chosen as Apprentice by Sith Lord, Molina Zann, the woman had great political plans and saw a perfect tool and ally in Saraya.

Saraya exceeded Molina's expectations very quickly, the duo thrived in the environment of the Cold War in the Galaxy, expanding Imperial influence and securing its hold on the worlds it controlled. After a few years, Molina started to consider her Apprentice not as a tool, but as a political partner. When Saraya was 26, Molina became Darth Zann and was named the Governor of the planet Korriz. Saraya for her service was rewarded with the title of a Sith Lord and started working on her own more, but the partnership between Darth Zann and Saraya continued, neither had genuine affection for each other, only political interests.

At 32 Saraya was tasked by the Dark Council to secure the allegiance of the planet Varana, the same one she was born on. The Empire was interested in the planet because of the ongoing civil war, which has begun soon after Saraya was taken by the Empire When she appeared together with Imperial soldiers, the people of Varana recognized Saraya as the woman who was supposed to be their queen and rallied around her and the Imperials, ending the civil war quickly and naming Saraya as their queen. The woman was surprised to find out her last name and more importantly that she was meant to be a queen.

Saraya was named Darth Haresh for her success on Varana and was tasked with establishing order on the planet. The longer she spent on her home planet, the more Saraya started to enjoy being queen Saraya rather than a Dark Lord. She began turning Varana's political system to be like that of the Sith Empire, where cunning was rewarded and weakness was punished. Saraya established order, yet some started to call her a tyrant. She also plans to create her own order of Dark Side users, loyal only to her, not the Empire. Those Force-sensitives who were once exiled into the deserts favored the Light Side and created a resistance to Saraya's rule. Now the woman is working towards preserving Varana's status as an independent planet alligned with the Sith Empire, wanting to continue being a queen rather than return to the Empire as a Darth.

Personality Traits: Cunning and ambitious, Saraya always had a talent for politics, leading to her arriving on Varana as a conqueror, ending up as the queen. She now intends to keep her position, which she believes that she should have been at years ago. She also wants to keep her planet's independence from the Empire.

Does not trust easily, Saraya became distrustful of the Imperial officers and other Sith after becoming the queen, she knows that they must be plotting against her, hoping to occupy Varana rather than keep it independent. Saraya started replacing her officers and advisors with the people of Varana after they were trained up to the Imperial standards. She believes that they will be loyal to their queen first.

Saraya enjoys the luxuries that being a queen allows her to experience. She loves the palace life and having many servants, ready to do her bidding. She enjoys spending money on expensive art pieces and also foods or drinks. She became a patron of the arts for the many artists of Varana and other places in the Galaxy.

Saraya is rarely satisfied, she dislikes mediocrity, the system she created on Varana reflects that by promoting only the most capable and cunning people, or those who might impress the queen. She expects those who serve under her to be exceptional at what they're doing or they might be replaced.

Saraya is an extrovert and feels at home in large groups of people. She enjoys being the center of attention and knows exactly what to say to other people to make them like her.

Saraya is an expert at manipulation, she does so not just with words, but also with her physical appearance. She takes great care of her looks and is proud of that. She enjoys teasing people.

Saraya very rarely shows genuine affection, most of the time she fakes it in order to get people on her side. She could only feel affectionate towards somebody she trained or raised, she would also feel the pride. She could also show some affection to those who could never do anything to harm her and would have nothing to gain from betraying her.

Saraya does not tolerate treason, she became a victim of it when she was sent to Korriban. After her return she found out who was responsible for her father's assassinations and the plot to get rid of her. She hunted down all the traitors and punished them as an example.

Being taken in by the Sith and rising up in the Order influenced the way Saraya is ruling over her planet. She became ruthless, but very efficient monarch. To some she is known as a tyrant who took the freedom away from the people of Varana, while to the others she is known as the one who brought stability after years of civil war.

Saraya took one of the crown jewels, which happened to be a purple kyber crystal and turned it into a lightsaber, which became an element of her regalia. The crystal proved to be very powerful, resulting in the crackling effectt around the blade.

Saraya loves swimming in the pools of the royal palace, especially the one located in her private chambers. It helps her relax and focus on her plans for the future.

Saraya is a spiteful woman, she decided to create her own order of Dark Side users, after Force sensitives were persecuted by the people of Varana and exiled into the deserts, outside of the domes under which the cities on the planet were built to protect them from the scorching sun. The members of the order took the name of Sorcerers, once used to scorn them, now a symbol of their pride. Saraya wants to turn her Sorcerers into the new ruling class of Varana, rather than the nobility of old. She does not teach them ligthsaber combat, only the Force powers and how to govern efficiently.

Saraya expects obedience from her subjects, yet any kind of rebellion or objection to her face actually impresses her with the bravery of the one who dared to say it.

Saraya enjoys creative writing, whether poetry or comedy. She enjoys watching standup shows or seeing poets perform. She also enjoys theater. She also tried her hand at writing dramas or comedies.
