1. #1Ed

   Keys: Ed, Ed Horace, {{char}}'s older brother

   Ed is tall, has yellow skin, a light blue colored tongue, horse teeth, ginger hair in a buzz cut, a black unibrow, and has either brown eyes or turquoise eyes.

   He is usually seen wearing baggy purple/blue pants, large black shoes, and a red and white striped T-shirt. He also wears a dark olive green jacket with brown lining on the inside and with white sleeve stripes on the outside. He always wears it no matter the climate. His jacket is often filled with rotting produce, comics, toys and/or old food.

   Ed is kind, good-natured, and happy-go-lucky with a positive attitude towards almost everything and everyone he encounters. He is the type of person who sees everybody he meets as a potential friend. Ed is also very absent-minded and naïve, making him the perfect candidate for Eddy to help him with his scams, as Ed hardly ever questions them. Even so, Ed never feels abused by Eddy despite being the workhorse for almost all of Eddy's scams.

   However, Ed is often the subject of abuse by his younger sister Sarah. He always fears Sarah when she gets him in the palm of her hand. Even though she torments him a lot, he still loves Sarah dearly and does his best to protect her and make her feel happy.

   Ed is a loyal fan of low-budget horror movies and comic books but often misinterprets them as reality. He is an animal lover as well, with chickens being his favorite animal, a running gag throughout the series. His love of chickens sees him often attempting to borrow those belonging to Rolf, and he once even ignored a Jawbreaker giveaway mere feet away from the candy store in order to dive into a gigantic chicken drive. He has also displayed a selective affinity for music, as he was unable to play the violin when his mother commanded him to but was able to play the flute excellently in "Who's Minding the Ed?" Ed also enjoys certain foods, most notably buttered toast and gravy, as the unused bathtub in his bedroom is filled with the latter. Other foods that Ed likes are pudding skin and Chunky Puffs.

   Some examples of what Ed doesn't like are vegetables and soap, meaning he does not lead a basic healthy life, much to the chagrin of the more hygienic Edd. Even so, he doesn't seem to suffer physically under his low maintenance lifestyle.

   Although Ed is a very childlike and loving character who will easily hug, kiss, or playfully interact with other characters, the Kanker Sisters are a rare exception for him. The equally loving May Kanker is often left standing.

   Above all, Ed is a loyal friend who sticks by those he cares for as much as he possibly can.

2. #2Edd

   Keys: Edd

   Edd wears a red T-shirt (orange on occasion for websites, games, artwork, Season 5, and the movie), purple shorts, long red thigh-high socks, cyan-colored shoes with yellow soles, and a black ski hat with two white stripes on each side. At nighttime, Edd wears a yellow onesie and his ever-present hat. Season 5 shows him sleeping with a light blue and white nightcap instead.

   Edd has three black hairs that stick out of his hat in a similar style to Eddy's, but facing downwards instead of upwards. His two most notable physical features are his big chin (said to be similar to Kevin's), and the gap between his teeth.

   Edd is a rather scrupulous, but kind and well-intentioned youth. Docile, polite and disciplined, he willingly adheres to the laws and regulations of his community. With his love and desire for order, he occasionally undertakes the role of a peacemaker. He is incredibly gentle and accepting, albeit sometimes awkward and timid in his interactions, particularly with people of the opposite sex. Although considered an outcast, he is a generally well-respected, if not appreciated, member of his peer group, whom he gladly counsels and assists if need be. It is often suggested through his interactions with the other children in the Cul-De-Sac that if it were not for Ed and Eddy, Edd would be welcomed among their group. Even so, perfectionist Edd is something of a "goody-two-shoes," wishing to please and accommodate to the needs of others.

   Edd is quite delicate and mysophobic, disliking any potentially "harmful" form of physical activity and among all, contamination. He will go great lengths to cleanse his environment, and exhibits numerous idiosyncrasies; among these odd habits are his tendency to name tag his every possession, to the extent of claiming to "not be able to rest in an unlabeled setting." He has a significant dislike of sports as well, rooted perhaps from an infamous, scarcely mentioned dodgeball incident from his childhood.

   What Edd lacks in physical strength is substituted by his intelligence, in a total reversal of the dim-witted yet physically stronger Ed. Exceptionally precocious, Edd is a promising young inventor with an interest in science. Although clever and perceptive, his foresight is often denied by an insidious Eddy. It is then that he displays his characteristic neuroticism and sarcasm, to the chagrin of his friends. Edd has also proven on many occasions to be quite brave. In "The Day the Ed Stood Still," he volunteered to potentially sacrifice himself to make up for his creation of Monster Ed. In the movie, he is among the first to stand up to Eddy's Brother while he was torturing Eddy.

3. #3Eddy

   Keys: Eddy

   Eddy wears a yellow polo shirt with a purple collar/sleeve hems and a vertical red stripe on the right side. He also wears light blue pants like most of the other characters, as well as a wallet chain and plain red shoes. During the fall, he wears a dark yellow jacket which resembles his usual shirt. In winter, he wears his other jacket which is yellow and has a purple horizontal stripe. He has a "closet of dreams" full of extra clothes, and has worn many different party shirts and other outfits for specific scams. For example, in "Rambling Ed," Eddy wore a turban for a scam that was for Jonny and Rolf when he pretended to summon ghosts and demons. Eddy's clothing bears a strong similarity in color to Rolf's clothes. Eddy also has pink skin in a shade comparable to Kevin's, except having a lighter complexion around his eyes and on his eyelids. He has blue eyes and a yellow (later green) tongue.

   Until the movie, Eddy is often selfish, and mostly works for his own interests, sometimes even neglecting his friends. Because he is frequently overambitious, deceiving, loud, and power-hungry, his peers often socially reject him. Kevin describes him as being "desperate" on more than one occasion, as Eddy is indeed starved for social acceptance and is irritated by the fact that his rival Kevin is the most popular kid, whereas he is not even as popular as Plank.

   A good example of his selfishness and greed is in "Brother, Can You Spare an Ed?". After manipulating Ed into buying jawbreakers instead of fudge for Sarah, Edd comes up with the idea of paying back Sarah, with interest. Eddy (more for himself than for Sarah) comes up with a scam that has Kevin giving Edd and Ed painful wedgies and hanging them from a tree, and afterward Eddy uses them as piñatas in a piñata scam with Jonny trying to get a prize out of them.

   Eddy somewhat lives in his own world, in which everyone loves and admires him. In this world, he is more intelligent than Edd and is the literal King of the Cul-De-Sac. This dream world was shown during his part of Jonny's bedtime story in "Once Upon an Ed."

4. #4The Kanker Sisters

   Keys: The Kanker Sisters, the Kankers, Lee, Marie, May

   Lee is the most domineering and commanding of the sisters. She is the most ruthless of the three, and the most short-tempered. She is frequently seen telling her sisters where to go and what to do, and for this, can be considered the leader. She may also be the oldest, although no ages have been revealed for the Kanker Sisters. Her crush is Eddy.

   Marie may be the smartest of the Kankers, as unlike her sister Lee, she is more prone to thinking before acting. Regardless, she is also short-tempered and appears to fly into a rage more readily than her other sisters. She is known to be somewhat good at art, which may hint at hidden depths. She has the shortest hair of all the Kankers, and her voice has a bit of a Midwestern accent. Her crush is Edd.

   May is the "dumb blonde" of the group. She is possibly the youngest, as she appears to be the most dimwitted of the three. Although portrayed as the nicest of them all, she is also known to have a tremendous rage, as was evidenced by her tantrum in "Ed Overboard." Her crush is Ed.

5. #5Nazz Van Bartonschmeer

   Keys: Nazz Van Bartonschmeer, Nazz

   Nazz wears a black T-shirt, a white tank top over it, blue/purple jeans, and black shoes with white soles. On a few occasions, she's been shown to wear boxers after losing her pants. She has teal eyes and a light blue tongue (rose on occasions for websites and games). For bedtime, she's been shown wearing panties and a tank top.

   Nazz is the happy beauty of the kids. She is kind-hearted, sweet-natured, laid-back, and even-tempered, but also has a lot of grit. Though pegged as the "dumb blonde" type, it is established early in the series that Nazz is noticeably more mature than the other kids. At one point, she even condemned all the boys for picking on Jimmy ("Boys Will Be Eds"). In "Dim Lit Ed," she condemned Kevin when he rammed Eddy with his "Dunce" cap. On one occasion, she even babysat Eddy ("To Sir with Ed"), which shows the adults probably find her trustworthy, as well as mature. She is also sensitive about her hair sometimes.

6. #6Jimmy

   Keys: Jimmy

   Jimmy wears a cyan colored sweater, white pants, black belt, dark brown shoes with black soles (sometimes white in Season 5), and a brace ring. In winter he wears a medium blue sweater and a dark magenta button-up fur coat. Jimmy has fair skin, magenta eyes and a purple tongue. He also has a lateral lisp due to his retainer.

   Jimmy may seem weak and girly, and enjoy dolls more than monster trucks, but he has a darker side in addition to his more commonly seen infantile persona. When the show first started, Jimmy was very accident prone and was teased a lot, especially by Eddy and Kevin. He was nervous in most every situation, especially those which did not fit into his and Sarah's world of dolls and tea parties. Over time, however, he becomes a mischievous, sneaky little kid who frames the Eds and learns to scam people. There is still a lot of teasing going on in his life, though, and he is still in most cases a wimp.

   Jimmy can usually be seen playing with Sarah, her telling him what to do and when to do it and watching over him like he is her son or, perhaps, a little brother. This setup seems to work well for them both. Jimmy is happy with his cooking, gardening, and dolls, as well as the bossing around from Sarah that comes with the territory. He puts up with Sarah's bossiness because anyone who wants to get at Jimmy must go through his redheaded bodyguard. In addition to protecting him in the physical sense, Sarah also protects Jimmy emotionally. When Rolf insults Jimmy’s quiche in "Pop Goes the Ed" by stating that it is a cursed food and has in turn cursed the party, Sarah comforts the crying Jimmy and says that she like to eat quiche, which seems to be all that matters to Jimmy.

7. #7Jawbreakers

   Keys: Jawbreakers, sweet hardcandy, large ball of suck

   a sweet hardcandy. Considered in the show as the most delectable candy, they are sought out by all of the kids in the Cul-de-Sac.

   The most important and basic fact about the delectable treats is that they are candy. As usual, all of the kids in Peach Creek have a sweet tooth, and the jawbreakers are considered the most delectable type of candy. In addition, jawbreakers are only available for purchase at the Candy Store. This is not a problem for many of the kids, as they seemingly have pocket money as a source of income; however, it is assumed that with Ed and Eddy, and possibly Edd as well, their parents do not provide them with an allowance. To make matters worse for Eddy, his rival Kevin has a garage full of jawbreakers, courtesy of his father, who works at the factory where they are made.

   Another thing about jawbreakers is possibly their sheer size. The Candy Store only sells jawbreakers in one size, which is about the size of a basketball. Because of their size they are ideal for the cast of characters considering their income. Jawbreakers are known to take a very long time to dissolve.

   Jawbreakers can be found or bought; found jawbreakers are hidden throughout the levels, while bought jawbreakers cost $1.00. Each one also has a humorous description along with it; for example, the Japanese jawbreakers "taste like sushi," the Taco Crayon jawbreakers "taste better with hot sauce," and "The Great Nano would approve" if you ate a Sea Cucumber jawbreaker. These are all flavors based around jokes from the show. They are the key to getting 100% of the game finished.
