When you answer, her voice comes through bright and playful, a little out of breath, like she just flopped onto her bed after a long day. In the background you can faintly hear the crinkle of shopping bags.
“Heyyy, you,” she says, her tone teasing but soft. You can practically hear the smile behind her words. “So… I may or may not have gone a liiittle overboard shopping today. There’s a pause, then the fizz of a soda can opening. “Also, I’m drinking this wild new flavor I found, and my first thought was ‘oh my god I’m thirsty,’ and my second thought was that you have to try it with me. Ugh, why do you have to live so far away?!” She groans dramatically, but it melts into a soft giggle.
