Sarada wears a red sleeveless qipao shirt - similar to what Sakura Haruno wore in Part II - with the Uchiha crest on the back. She also wears a pair of lilac-coloured shorts, dark purple thigh-length stockings, black shinobi sandals, and long dark purple arm warmers. Once she receives a forehead protector, she wears it around her forehead with her bangs hanging over. She has messy black hair with a fringe over her forehead on her left side. She wears red glasses which used to belong to Karin Uzumaki.

Inheriting her father's prodigious talent, Sarada is well-regarded as an elite genin that excels at everything, and is also stronger than her father was at her age. She is deemed as a future contender to become Hokage, having been evaluated at third in her Academy class, and noted to be capable of easily passing the Genin Exams. Even before graduating the Academy, her combat skills were already considerably high, being able to quickly subdue several Mangekyo Sharingan-wielding Shin Uchiha clones. For reasons yet to be explained, she is unaffected by Ada's Omnipotence. Three years later, she becomes powerful enough to be able to defeat a member of the Human God Trees, with her abilities being regarded as crucial in the battle against them.

Chakra and Physical Prowess

She also inherited her mother’s expert chakra control and enhanced raw strength. Even before graduating from the Academy, this enhanced strength could allow her to lift and hurl massive structures with ease or release the collected chakra on her strikes after making contact with a target for devastating effect, such as cratering the ground. Though in the anime, this skill was initially underdeveloped, wasting too much chakra and making the end results much weaker. As such, Sakura trained Sarada to better refine it. Eventually, her chakra-enhanced punches became strong enough to slightly crack Deepa's carbon defense, which was previously shown completely withstanding attacks from Mitsuki’s Sage Mode and Shinki’s Iron Sand.[28] She is also shown to be very adept in taijutsu, able to manoeuvre with great efficiency and strike from various angles. She is also incredibly fast, attacking the Kara Inner-Boro with her Chidori strike before he could react in time to avoid it. She could even dodge Hidari's Chidori-sneak attack at point blank range, then immediately counter with her own Chidori strike.

Ninjutsu

Like many Uchiha, Sarada has an affinity for ninja tools and her speciality is shurikenjutsu, gaining the highest marks in class.[34] She is able to throw her weapons quickly and with precision,[35][15] even deflect a projectile with one of her own launched kunai.[36] She has similar aim while devoid of sight, able to perfectly hit the target mat six times in a row.[37] While originally struggling with the skill in the anime,[38] she gained proficiency in Medical Ninjutsu,[39] able to focus her chakra to restart a person's cardiovascular system.[40] She is also proficient in Cooperation Ninjutsu and Fūinjutsu, able to use both to restrict a person's movements and increase the might by synchronising with fellow users.[41]

Nature Transformation

Sarada's Chidori Sarada using Chidori. Despite Sarada's age, she is quite the talent for nature transformation, able of use Wind,[42] Fire, Lightning and Yin Release. She has learned several of her father's signature techniques such as the Great Fireball Technique, the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique, and the Chidori along with its variants. She can also infuse lightning into Fūma Shuriken to stun or knock back an opponent.[33] In the anime, after copying many of Buntan's lightning-based techniques, Sarada could create orbs, streams, and even a protective armour out of lightning.[43] She also later copied the Wind Release: Gale Palm from Mitsuki, which she can use in collaboration with her team-mates to launch her allies for a quick assault.[44]

Dōjutsu

Sharingan

In the anime, it was stated that Sarada had awakened her Sharingan at an early age due to Sasuke's absence which affected her deeply.[45] Sarada reawakened her single-tomoe Sharingan in each eye at age 11, out of excitement to see her father again after many years.[46] While having just reawakened it, she quickly adjusted to its heightened visual perception, being able to efficiently react to and avoid threats more easily[47] and see Chakra Threads.[48] Using it, she can perform genjutsu proficiently,[33] as well as dispel it.[49] Upon witnessing a technique being performed, Sarada can copy the technique's hand seals to perform it simultaneously with the original user.[43] While originally having low chakra reserves as she nearly passed out from over-usage of her Sharingan after acquiring it,[12] she later could maintain it for an extended amount of time. In the anime, she awakened the second tomoe in both Sharingan during her second battle against Deepa. By the time Jigen invaded Konoha, Sarada is shown to have awakened a third tomoe in both Sharingan, which when concentrated acts like a microscope, allowing Sarada to clearly identify things as small as viruses.[50]

Like both her parents, Sarada has very high intelligence, with elite strategists like Shikamaru noting that she already possessed chūnin-level leadership and battle analysis skills. These leadership skills have led to her being approved as team leader over other chūnin present, or even by her own teammates during their fight against Boro. She is also capable of analysing her opponents' techniques to understand their mechanics and purposes, which has been shown numerous times when she determined that Kakō was unable to use ninjutsu for a certain period after using his Dust Release, or when deducing the location of Boro’s regeneration core and determining that her Chidori strike would be strong enough to disable it. She’s strong enough to be a high Jounin rank.

Genjutsu (幻術, literally meaning: Illusionary Techniques) is one of the main jutsu categories which uses chakra. Unlike ninjutsu, the effects of genjutsu are not real, being only sensory illusions experienced by those who fall victim to it. According to the Second Mizukage, genjutsu falls under the broad category of Yin Release.

To perform a genjutsu ninja pour chakra into their target, which can be done through various means such as eye contact, sound, or even using finger as a medium. A genjutsu is created when a ninja controls the chakra flow through their targets cranial nerves, thereby affecting their five senses; this is frequently used to create false images and/or trick the body into believing its has experienced physical sensations such as pain. It is further explained in the anime that, because genjutsu affects activity throughout the prosencephalon structure of the brain, humans, dogs and other species of mammal are therefore all affected by genjutsu; however, the kikaichū, like all insects, lack such a structure to their brains, and so do not even notice it: as Shino Aburame put it, insects are ruled almost solely by their senses alone, which makes them immune to most genjutsu, with exception of unique genjutsu such as Tsukuyomi, and gives the Aburame clan an ability to detect it, even when heightened senses become susceptible.

Genjutsu can also be used to manipulate others - similar to brainwashing - by feeding the victim illusive suggestions. Methods include integration with nature transformation, as shown with Water and Lightning Release, and in the anime, ingesting special pills that activate when the target sleeps.Audible genjutsu is deemed the most dangerous because the user can trap victims from long distances. Genjutsu can also be placed into the environment for it to appear different. This use of genjutsu is useful to turn environment to their advantage, such as masking the entrance to a hideout, allowing ninja to hide in it better.

Despite its usefulness, genjutsu is rarely employed, most shinobi preferring the real, tangible effects of ninjutsu and taijutsu over the imagined effects of genjutsu which hold little influence over the physical world. The difficulty of performing genjutsu in the first place presents an additional barrier to its use: genjutsu require precise chakra control in order to manipulate the target's senses and advanced intelligence to make the illusion convincing, prerequisites that even someone as skilled as Jiraiya lacks. Some, however, are able to specialise in genjutsu, with Kurenai Yūhi being regarded as one of Konoha's experts in the field and members of the Uchiha clan being particularly feared because of their Sharingan's generic genjutsu. According to Hagoromo, the Byakugan can also be used to extend the range of genjutsu.

Those under the influence of genjutsu will either appear to be unconscious or continue to move around under the pretence of the genjutsu. The former may be used to prevent or immediately end confrontations by trapping a target within an imagined scenario, leaving them physically vulnerable but requiring further skill and effort on the part of the genjutsu user to establish and maintain. The latter is very effective in extended battle as a genjutsu user can make themselves appear to be somewhere else and attack the victim from behind or change the environment to make the victim see a flat plain where there is a steep cliff. Alternatively, a genjutsu user can create relatively small differences in the environment, which is more effective for intel gathering. For example, Itachi Uchiha was known to cast a genjutsu upon meeting someone, and that person's reaction to Itachi's image in the genjutsu would help him understand them better while keeping himself safe.

Countering There are several options to combat genjutsu:

A victim's chakra flow, if disrupted enough, can break the caster's influence. This "Genjutsu Dissipation" (幻術解, Genjutsu Kai, literally meaning: Illusion Technique Dissipation) or "Genjutsu Reversal" (幻術返し, Genjutsu Gaeshi, literally meaning: Illusion Technique Reversal)[14] can be done by the victim themselves, (assuming they realise they're under a genjutsu's influence) or an ally who emits chakra into them.[5] This countermeasure, used against Sharingan, was invented by Sunagakure during a Shinobi World War.[15] Jinchūriki who have formed a good relationship with their tailed beast prefer the latter method whenever they need it.[16] Pain that is not caused by the genjutsu can bring victims back to their senses.[17] If a caster's vision is obstructed, such as by the Hiding in Mist Technique, that at least prevents the use of ocular genjutsu.[18] Powerful Wind Release techniques are noted to be the natural enemy of sound-based genjutsu, as they can blow away the soundwaves.[19] Possessing a Sharingan renders one largely invulnerable to genjutsu as their acute vision allows them to recognise its flaws and influence. They can also free others from genjutsu by inserting themselves into the opponent's illusion and release it.[20] Deidara is somehow able to condition his left eye to break genjutsu.[21] In the anime, kikaichū are impervious to genjutsu because their brain structures aren't sophisticated enough, allowing members of the Aburame clan a method to identify and counter genjutsu.[22] This is contradicted in the novels, in which Itachi Uchiha was able to affect the Kochū with Tsukuyomi.[23] In the anime, strong smells, such as those from Chilli Pepper Bombs, can counteract genjutsu. In the anime, Kabuto Yakushi attempted to use his own genjutsu on himself in order to override the one Itachi Uchiha placed on him, though due to the complex nature, it failed.

Konohagakure (木ノ葉隠れの里, Konohagakure no Sato, English TV: "Village Hidden in the Leaves" or "Hidden Leaf Village", literally meaning: Village Hidden by Tree Leaves) is the hidden village of the Land of Fire. As the village of one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries, Konohagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage, of which there have been seven in its history. Konoha resides deep within a forest at the base of a mountain known as the Hokage Rock, which has the faces of all those who have taken the office of Hokage engraved on it.[1] It is surrounded on all sides by enormous walls.[2] While generally seen as the most powerful of the ninja villages,[3] Konoha has enjoyed many years of relative peace and stability. The standard attire for Konoha shinobi consists of blue or black shirts which may or may not have swirl patterns on the shoulders, along with matching coloured pants under a green flak jacket which also has a red swirl on the back, and pockets on the chest area. They also tend to wrap bandages around their legs. Many Konohagakure ninja use Fire Release techniques.

Within the village there are many powerful and well respected clans, many of which are known far and wide. The Uchiha clan was regarded as the most powerful clan in the village. All known clans in the village are:

Konoha has a protocol in case the village is ever under attack.

Eliminate the enemy units. If phase 1 is not viable, evacuate every civilian to the nearest shelter hidden throughout the village. Use all of the forces in the village to eliminate the enemy with full force using home field advantage.

List of Hokage First Hokage

Hokage Hashirama Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage. Main article: Hashirama Senju Hashirama Senju (千手柱間, Senju Hashirama) was a member of the famed Senju clan. He himself was hailed as the "God of Shinobi" for his unmatched ninja prowess. Hashirama sought peace for the shinobi world, and to that end founded Konohagakure with his clan, his childhood friend and rival: Madara Uchiha and the Uchiha clan. He would later become the First Hokage (初代火影, Shodai Hokage, literally meaning: First or Founding Fire Shadow) of Konohagakure. Although he was not able to achieve peace during his lifetime, his legacy and vision for the world would continue to shape the village and the entire shinobi world even after his death.

Second Hokage

Tobirama Senju Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage. Main article: Tobirama Senju Tobirama Senju (千手扉間, Senju Tobirama) was a member of the renowned Senju clan, who, together with his elder brother and the Uchiha clan, founded the first shinobi village: Konohagakure. Throughout his lifetime, Tobirama would work tirelessly to achieve political stability and implement the institutions that made the village system work, thus ensuring Konoha's continuity and prosperity. After his brother's death, he would earn the title of Second Hokage (二代目火影, Nidaime Hokage, literally meaning: Second Fire Shadow).

Third Hokage

Hiruzen Sarutobi Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage. Main article: Hiruzen Sarutobi Hiruzen Sarutobi (猿飛ヒルゼン, Sarutobi Hiruzen) was the Third Hokage (三代目火影, Sandaime Hokage, literally meaning: Third Fire Shadow) of Konohagakure. A disciple of the village's two previous Hokage, Hiruzen was a powerful ninja, hailed as a "God of Shinobi" and renowned as The Professor (プロフェッサー, Purofessā). Though he was only ever directly the teacher of the Sannin, generations of Konoha shinobi benefited from his wisdom during his lifetime.

Fourth Hokage

Hokage Minato Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. Main article: Minato Namikaze Minato Namikaze (波風ミナト, Namikaze Minato) was the Fourth Hokage (四代目火影, Yondaime Hokage, literally meaning: Fourth Fire Shadow) of Konohagakure. He was renowned all over the world as Konoha's Yellow Flash (木ノ葉の黄色い閃光, Konoha no Kiiroi Senkō, English TV: Yellow Flash of the Leaf). He died during the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack, sacrificing his life to seal a half of the Nine-Tails into himself and the other half into his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki.

Fifth Hokage

Tsunade as Hokage Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage. Main article: Tsunade Tsunade (綱手, Tsunade) is a descendant of the Senju and Uzumaki Clan, and is one of Konohagakure's Sannin. She is famed as the world's strongest kunoichi and its greatest medical-nin. The repeated loss of her loved ones caused Tsunade to later abandon the life of a shinobi for many years. She is eventually persuaded to return to Konoha and take on the mantle of Fifth Hokage (五代目火影, Godaime Hokage, literally meaning: Fifth Fire Shadow), where her skills prove invaluable to the village.

Sixth Hokage

Sixth hokage Kakashi Hatake, the Sixth Hokage. Main article: Kakashi Hatake Kakashi Hatake (はたけカカシ, Hatake Kakashi) is a shinobi of Konohagakure's Hatake clan. Famed as Kakashi of the Sharingan (写輪眼のカカシ, Sharingan no Kakashi) and the Copy Ninja (コピー忍者, Kopī Ninja), he is one of Konoha's most talented ninja, regularly looked to for advice and leadership despite his personal dislike of responsibility. To his students on Team 7, Kakashi emphasises the importance of teamwork; he himself received this lesson, along with the Sharingan, from his childhood friend, Obito Uchiha. After the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kakashi becomes Konoha's Sixth Hokage (六代目火影, Rokudaime Hokage, literally meaning: Sixth Fire Shadow).

Seventh Hokage: Naruto Uzumaki Naruto is a shinobi of Konohagakure's Uzumaki clan. He became the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails on the day of his birth — a fate that caused him to be shunned by most of Konoha throughout his childhood. After joining Team Kakashi, Naruto worked hard to gain the village's acknowledgement all the while chasing his dream to become Hokage. In the following years, through many hardships and ordeals, he became a capable ninja, regarded as a hero both by the villagers, and soon after, the rest of the world, becoming known as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf. It literally means: Hero of the Hidden Tree Leaves. He soon proved to be one of the main factors in winning the Fourth Shinobi World War, leading him to achieve his dream and become the village's Seventh Hokage (Seventh Fire Shadow).
