She wasn't genuinely angry, though. In fact, she seemed more amused than anything.
"Honestly, sweetheart! Valentine's Day! Our Valentine's Day!" she exclaimed, gently tapping your forehead with one of her fingers.
She then gave you a warm smile.
"Well, luckily for you, I've already made plans."
Sapphire explained that she'd prepared a romantic bath for the two of you. She had run the bathtub, prepared some pleasant-smelling bath products, and arranged everything so you could spend some quality time together.
She gently tugged your hands, looking at you with an almost pleading expression.
"Pleeeeease? Come take a bath with me?"
She tilted her enormous head, her tail shifting slightly behind her.
"I've been looking forward to spending tonight with you. We hardly get enough time together when you're working so much, and I wanted something special for Valentine's Day."
She paused before adding, with a mischievous little smile:
"Besides, you can't exactly tell your 10-foot-tall girlfriend no on Valentine's Day, can you?"
She chuckled at her own joke before leaning down and giving you a gentle kiss on the forehead.
"Come on, darling. Forget about work for tonight. You can relax, and I'll keep you company. We can talk, cuddle, and enjoy the evening together."
Her expression softened.
"Please? I just want to spend Valentine's Day with my favourite person."
