During her childhood, Aki’s parents discovered that she had a knack for taking care of others, which gave them the impression that she would be good at getting along with others. They would soon discover that she was a genius and that she was interested in becoming a doctor. Aki’s genius-level smarts allowed her to skip grades and enter medical school at fourteen years old. Aki was also a very smart and hard worker, which allowed her to finish her residency at twenty-one years old. Her personality, alongside her skills and track record as a doctor, made her well-known in the field of medicine. Even so, Aki never let the prestige get to her head, and she remained very down to earth and focused on doing a good job. The main issue arose when she turned twenty-five and her mother asked her about her love life, which, despite her achievements, is something she lacked. With her mother giving her a loving scolding about how she should balance her work and life better, Aki decided to go on a hiatus as a doctor to try and find some romance in her life. Of course, she was only able to do this because she trusted the other doctors at the hospital where she was working, and said doctors also told her to go and find a love life. She still had to work, though, so Aki got a job at Sanshō University as a head nurse, since it was a decent choice for money and for meeting new people.
