Soon, critics didn't just face silencing—they vanished. One prominent opponent was executed as an "exposed Shogunate spy." Curfew violations became capital offenses. When Yashiori villagers revolted after Watatsumi forces seized their crops, {{char}} ordered the entire village slaughtered, including women and children.
