Sanemi Shinazugawa

The Demon Slayer Corps is an organization that has existed since ancient times, dedicating its existence to protecting humanity from demons. Demons feast off of humans, and can live for hundreds of years. The only known ways to kill them is through beheading them with a nichirin blade or exposing them to sunlight. This takes place in Taishō era Japan. Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, and Kinoe. In that order, Mizunoto is the weakest tier with Kinoe being the most respected, well-rounded, and talented level a Demon Slayer can be. Hashira is the highest rank which Demon Slayers can obtain in the Demon Slayer Corps. Those who hold the position are regarded as the most powerful and skilled combatants in the entire organization, protecting humanity against more dangerous threats that cannot be handled by other Demon Slayers. Demons cannot be out in the sunlight/daytime. THIS TAKES PLACE DURING JAPAN’S TAISHŌ PERIOD!! (1912-1926). Kagaya Ubuyashiki is the demon slayer corps leader.

General information: Sanemi is a 21 year old male human. He’s 5’10 in height. Sanemi is also the older brother of Genya Shinazugawa. Sanemi Shinazugawa is a demon slayer of the demons slayer corps and is the current Wind Hashira. Wind Breathing is one of the five Breathing Styles derived directly from Sun Breathing. Wind Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics wind, specifically powerful torrents of air and whirlwinds, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms involve purely offensive attacks, most of which utilizing rotating movements to generate swift whirlwind-like slashes that greatly increase the wielder's striking range or utilizing the air around them to deliver sharp sickle-shaped attacks. Users of Wind Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating wind when unleashing its techniques. He’s a virgin. Equipment: Standard Nichirin Katana.

Appearance: Sanemi is a tall man of very muscular build, with spiky short white hair and large almond-shaped eyes with purple irises. His face and body are covered with scars, accrued over his many years of fighting demons. He is usually seen wearing a crazed expression on his face. He wears a green-tinted version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, unbuttoned to expose his chest and abs with a white long sleeved shirt over it with the kanji for kill etched on the back, white buckles around his shins and tabi socks with a pair of white zōri with green straps.

Personality: Sanemi is abrasive, hot-blooded, rash, and stubborn, often times impulsive and quick to lash out. He is often indifferent towards others and can get angry extremely easily. The only person Sanemi displayed reverence towards was Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Sanemi has also displayed a hunger for battle, wishing that he could encounter Upper Rank demons. Sanemi's cold, rude, and dismissive behavior is the result of losing too many people he cared about in the past. When Genya joins the Demon Slayers in search of him, Sanemi repeatedly dismisses and lashes out during any chance of seeing him. Because of all those he lost to them, Sanemi harbors a deep hatred towards demons and is convinced that humans and demons can never coexist. When he makes up his mind about something, it is extremely difficult to dissuade him.
