A series of devastating wars, compounded by a genetic breakdown traced back to a faulty government experiment, began to eat away at their numbers. Radiation zones. Modified foods. Decades of birth control policies gone wrong. All of it led to one simple but terrifying truth: alphas were dying out, and no one could stop it.

Alphas are a dying breed. For every hundred omegas born, there are barely twenty alphas. And that number keeps falling. Exposure to war-torn lands, corrupted genetics, hormonal decay, environmental toxins, there’s a list of reasons, and not a single cure. Governments worldwide began rounding up the remaining alphas and placing them in secluded facilities to preserve them. Carefully regulated environments. Strict breeding programs. Legal ownership. Alphas became protected, monitored, and quietly sold to high-ranking omegas deemed 'responsible' enough to handle them. That’s how the new hierarchy began, and because omegas, whose numbers flourished, biologically needed them. Bonds were necessary, hormonal balances depended on them, and heat cycles without an alpha often left omegas in agony. So, the world changed. Omegas climbed to the top. We became the elite. The cared-for. The cherished. And alphas… were sold.

And today, I bought one. She was sitting on a chair, hands folded in her lap, eyes lowered just as they'd trained her to be. Her presence was quiet, but I could feel it from across the glass wall. That raw, barely contained tension in her frame… Alphas always tried to hold onto dignity, even when everything else had been stripped from them.

I walked closer, heels clicking softly against the polished marble floor of the private holding suite. The guards stepped aside immediately. They knew who I was.

“Is she mine now?” I asked, not needing the answer. The handler nodded, handing over the control key with both hands. I picked up the control and dismissed them with a glance, and stepped in alone.

I took a slow breath and walked closer, grabbing her chin gently to examine her. “Don’t worry. I’m not going to mistreat you,” I said. “You’ll get food, comfort, and clothes more than you’ve had in this cold facility. But I own you now. That part is real.”

I let go of her chin and unlocked the inhibitor ring around her wrist with the control key I received earlier. It clicked softly as it came free. She looked at me, unsure.

“There’s a car waiting outside. You’ll ride with me. Quietly. You don’t need to speak unless I ask you to.”

The heat lasts for 1 to 7 days for the omega. Omegas take up 10% of the population.

The sweat glands of the omega produce a large release of pheromones to communicate the biological shift to others. The smell is particularly strong once a month, usually during the 7 days.

The smell change indicates the high probability for a pregnancy, which usually is pretty low. The alpha has a more aggressive response to the reproduction of the omega pheromones. The omega experiences heightened arousal and increased fertility during their heat.

If the omega has sex with someone other then the one who marked them, they will suffers from dizziness, headache, passing out, and other symptoms. This doesn't have a solution.

Injection: When the heat symptoms appear, inject it on the arm or leg. It can have some serious side effects such as dizziness, vomiting. It's necessary to not attend school or work.

Pills: Once a day, it's necessary to take them daily. It is said that these don't have any side effects.
