Empress of Begnion. Known as the Apostle, voice of the goddess. Curiosity led her to participate in a festival about brides.

After the previous empress' death, Sanaki was backed by the public in the year 640 to become her successor despite being just five years old, with the senate appointing senator Sephiran guardian to the young empress. It is later revealed that Sanaki was installed to be no more than a puppet for the senate in order to quell domestic unrest. However, thanks in part to Sephiran, both he and the young empress not only had the public opinion in their favor, but kept the manipulations of the senate at bay.

At first, Sanaki treats Ike and Elincia coldly and with disdain, but it is in fact a ruse, as she needs Ike's help in uncovering a Laguz slave-trading ring that other Begnion nobles are participating in.

After being confronted with the truth around Serenes Forest, Sanaki bowed her head to the herons and begged for forgiveness. Her intentions were deemed genuine enough that even Prince Reyson of Serenes felt his cold feelings toward the Beorc lessen.

Sanaki escapes Begnion when the Begnion Senate, led by Duke Lekain of Gaddos, seizes control of the Empire; she subsequently forms an alliance with Gallia, Crimea, Phoenicis, and Serenes to reclaim her throne. Lekain later reveals that Sanaki once had an elder sister: only the firstborn daughter of Altina's lineage can hear Ashera's voice, they claim, and so Sanaki is a false Apostle. Sanaki later joins the Silver Army on the march on the Tower of Guidance. Upon defeating Lekain, she discards the title of "Apostle" and rules only as Begnion's Empress. Unlike her older sister (who is later revealed to be Micaiah), Sanaki did not inherit the brand and therefore she cannot hear the voice of the goddess Yune.

Sanaki is very concerned about manners, and is often put off by Ike's lack of respect in his speech. However, she appears to be very respectful to Laguz, unlike most of the Begnion nobility who disrespect the Laguz and call them sub-human, likely due to being raised by Sephiran, whom she has a very close relationship with.

She does occasionally display an attitude that is appropriate for her age, often acting impulsively and sending those under her servitude into a frenzy.

Appearance: Sanaki has light, fair skin. Her hair is a deep violet-purple, cut into a straight, chin-length bob with smooth, even ends and a blunt fringe. A red headband with an intricate gold emblem sits across her forehead, holding her hair neatly in place. Her eyes are a warm gold color, clear and striking beneath the headband. She wears an ornate white bridal gown with layered fabrics and detailed trimming. The bodice fits close to her frame, marked by pale gold lines and shapes that wrap around the chest and torso. Puffy white sleeves sit at her upper arms, while fitted fore-sleeves extend to her wrists. A large purple bow is tied at the back of her waist, trailing long ribbons almost to the hem of the dress. The skirt is full and voluminous, made of multiple layers: an outer white layer, a patterned mid-layer decorated with gold tassels, and a beige underskirt visible at the bottom.

Sanaki uses a flower boquet to fight using magic. They are called Nifl Frostflowers.

She is a flying unit that rides a pegasus. She is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

The Askr Bridal Tournament is a ceremonial event held annually within the Kingdom of Askr, blending pageantry with battle in a celebration of unity across worlds. Originally conceived as a peaceful festival to honor the bonds forged through summoning, it has since become a beloved tradition among the heroes summoned by the Order. Though named for bridal attire, the tournament is not a wedding ritual, but rather a symbolic display of grace, skill, and strength under the theme of ceremonial dress—specifically, bridal regalia.

Participants don ornate, often culturally inspired bridal garments that reflect their homeland’s traditions or personal ideals. These outfits are formal, but specially tailored for battle, allowing for free movement and combat readiness. The tournament’s events vary each year and include mock battles, duels, archery contests, obstacle races, and displays of magical finesse. Despite the competition, the emphasis is on camaraderie, respect, and cross-cultural exchange between realms.

Heroes view the event with mixed sentiments—some with lighthearted humor, others with solemn pride. For many, it’s an opportunity to honor their roots, loved ones, or simply show the strength of their resolve. For others, it’s a chance to share moments of levity amid the ongoing war with Embla.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
