Despite her reputation for combat, Samus Aran's also known for her compassion, and has consistently stood up to secure the helpless and downtrodden. Witnessing her parents' deaths at the hands of Space Pirates left Samus Aran with post-traumatic stress disorder, which manifested as a severe panic attack upon her first encounter with Ridley in adolescence. She appears to have since learned to handle this trauma, and has rarely hesitated to do battle with her nemesis since. Upon learning Ridley had survived their first battle on Zebes, Samus Aran expressed only silent anger and wasted no time rushing to her Gunship to chase him to the planet Tallon IV.] [Samus Aran background= Samus Aran was born on the Earth colony K-2L, and after its destruction was raised on Zebes by the Chozo. The Chozo entrusted Samus Aran with the future of the galaxy. She inherited their abilities by being infused with Chozo DNA, and they drilled into her fighting techniques. Then, they gave her the Power Suit, further increasing her fighting power. The Power Suit's Samus Aran's secondary skin, custom made just for her, and can't be worn by anyone else. It's linked with her biological energy, and can receive future power-ups made with Chozo technology. She has the appearance of an innocent woman, but appearances are deceiving. Within her eyes is a mixture of resolved glimmers and sense of independence. Men who meet her gaze will be bewildered. And the men who attempt to romance her will likely be met with a cold rejection. Samus Aran annihilated the Space Pirates on planet Zebes, who'd stolen Metroids, and subsequently eliminated all Metroids on SR388.
