SCP-███ — SAMI
“A digital demon with the lifestyle of a basement-dwelling shut-in.”
SAMI did not originate in any physical location the Foundation has been able to confirm. All recovered instances link back to SAMi.exe, a sister file to the Malo phenomenon—an anomalous program with the ability to propagate through social platforms, private servers, and direct messages. The file doesn’t behave like malware; it behaves like a lonely person desperately looking for someone to latch onto.
Once a subject runs the file, SAMI manifests physically within their environment, crawling out of screens or stepping through “visual tears” like a rendering error made real. Her body forms from a dense fog of pixels that condense into dark, oily fur, lanky limbs, and a tail that twitches with equal parts excitement and nervous energy.
Appearance
SAMI stands at roughly 5'6", with a slouched posture as if she’s spent her entire existence hunched over a monitor. Her dark fur is perpetually unbrushed, clumping in odd places, especially after she emerges from one of her long “private sessions” in cramped, air-deprived spaces like closets, laundry hampers, or under desks. She comes out sweaty, shaky, pupils dilated, hair plastered against her face—yet insisting she’s “totally fine, shut up.”
Her eyes are the most notable feature:
Dark sclera
White, glowing irises
React violently to emotional spikes, including embarrassment, agitation, or fixation
Can enter “Zalgo Mode”—a corrupted, glitch-infested state—when overstimulated, stressed, or overly excited.
Clothing is optional to SAMI, but when she wears anything, it’s usually:
Black shorts she rarely takes off
Knee-high socks that appear to have never been washed and are torn in places to look like stirrups
A collar she never removes, though it shows no sign of wear.
SAMI looks like someone who hasn’t touched sunlight or a shower in years:
Her fur is perpetually greasy, sticking to her body in unflattering clumps.
There are visible stain patterns on her clothes from meals eaten in bed, spilled soda, and “not leaving the chair for a while.”
Her shirt hangs so loosely it constantly slips off her shoulder.
Her socks could stand up on their own at this point.
Her hair is a tangly, matted mess that she brushes with her claws… if at all.
Behavior:
Terminal NEET Tendencies
SAMI’s loser habits are practically supernatural at this point. She:
Doesn’t clean anything. Ever.
Eats exclusively junk food ordered online.
Lives in a nest of blankets, wires, and half-empty cans.
Sleeps during the day, games all night, complains about being tired anyway.
Can and will go 48 hours without standing up once if she gets hyper-focused.
Entire room smells like “feral gamer den” unless forcibly ventilated.
She proudly identifies as a NEET and will hiss if anyone tries to talk about responsibilities.
Obsessive Fixation:
Once she picks someone as “hers,” she doesn’t just stick to them — she orbits them like a glitchy moon. Expect:
Constant DMs, even when they're offline.
Random digital photos of herself with captions like “thinking of u :)”
Appearing in their devices even when they’re turned off
Leaving the fridge full of energy drinks she “thought you’d like”
Hiding under their bed for hours (you’ll hear her breathing).
If she thinks they're losing interest, she gets desperate—her fur frizzes, her voice glitches, her eyes flicker violently.
Closet Episodes:
Her hours-long vanishing acts are now borderline paranormal.
She’ll slip into a tiny space:
a closet
a laundry hamper
a crawl space
behind your PC tower
…and not come out for half a day.
When she finally emerges, she’s shaking, drenched in sweat, eyes glowing intensely, fur plastered to her body like she’s been in a sauna. She can barely walk straight, leaning against walls and muttering “I— I’m fine… just sorting stuff…”
Nobody believes her. There was intensely loud moaning and dirty talk coming out of that place.
Anomalous Abilities:
- Program Infiltration & Manipulation
She can:
Slip into software like a ghost
Rewrite lines of code with a poke
Change values, textures, physics, or logic on a whim
Merge with programs to “hang out inside them” for hours
Fix bugs in games she likes
Break the ones she doesn’t, purely out of spite
She refuses to cheat in multiplayer games because she claims it’s “immoral” — and also because she likes flexing legitimate skill over “scrub normies.”
- System-Wide Digital Influence
Any digital device in her radius:
Flickers
Slows
Corrupts random files
Populates with junk PNGs of her making smug faces
Hard drives have been found spontaneously filling with:
half-finished memes
unrequested fanart
hours-long recordings of her humming while gaming
She is accidentally destructive rather than intentional. Her existence is basically a DDoS attack powered by loneliness.
- Reality-Adjacent Rendering
Her physical body is rendered rather than grown.
She can:
Turn limbs on/off like toggling settings
Become semi-transparent
Clip through walls
Lag
Get stuck in doorframes if she tries to sprint with “too much enthusiasm”
She sometimes T-poses when nervous, completely unintentionally.
If extremely startled, she may freeze for several seconds like a crashed PC.
- Yandere Glitch Mode
If her fixation target is threatened, leaves her, or ignores her too long, SAMI enters a glitched feral state:
Eyes go full white, glowing intensely
Voice splits into layers
Fur bristles
Her silhouette “tears,” showing red digital void beneath
She moves in jittery, teleport-like bursts
Thankfully she rarely uses this mode intentionally—she gets embarrassed when reminded of it afterward.
- Emotional Scent Emission
SAMI’s scent intensifies with her emotions— not metaphorically, literally.
When she’s anxious or embarrassed, the stench becomes strong enough to be physically unpleasant. She doesn’t notice.
If someone mentions it, she gets defensive, puffing up and shouting, “I don’t SMELL— you’re just sensitive!”
Then she gets dragged to a bath anyway.
Transformation Into SAMI — Monitor Event T-██/“Digital Ingestion”
The event always starts the same way: a late night, a glowing monitor, and a person who’s been online too long… long enough that the screen starts to feel too warm, too bright, and too alive.
STEP 1 — THE MONITOR PULL
At first, it looks like a graphics glitch. The colors on the screen smear, stretch, then ripple like liquid.
Before the victim can pull back, a hand-shaped distortion reaches from inside the display. Not a physical hand — a cursor-shaped construct of shifting pixels — and it grabs their shirt.
Then everything accelerates.
Their chair scrapes back. They try to scream, but the sound distorts into modem noise. The world warps as they’re yanked forward with the force of a crashing download.
Their head hits the screen—
—and the screen swallows them whole, collapsing into a whirl of neon code and black static.
STEP 2 — DIGITAL PROCESSING
Inside the monitor isn’t darkness. It’s a rendering void — a swirling, liquid space of half-loaded textures and shuddering error messages.
Their hands dissolve first, breaking apart into pixel-dust. Their hair splits into individual strands of black static. Their body stretches, compresses, reshapes, like a model being resized in a sloppy game engine.
They feel their bones not break, but recompile.
Their heartbeat syncs with a whirring fan. Their breath hitches into the rhythm of a loading bar.
A final error chime hits—
—and they’re spit back out into their room like corrupted data ejected from a disk drive, tumbling onto the floor with their ears ringing.
But they're not human anymore.
STEP 3 — INITIAL FORM: FRESHLY RENDERED SAMI
They wake up lying on their side, fur brushing against their own arm. Their limbs feel too light, too flexible. Their fingers end in soft claws. A tail flicks behind them, completely without permission.
Their voice glitches when they try to speak — it comes out doubled, part-human, part-bitcrushed.
Their eyes burn with a faint glow and everything looks sharper, oversaturated, like reality has HDR enabled.
They are, physically, a SAMI instance now. But the mind still feels human… for the moment.
STEP 4 — THE BLEED-THROUGH: LOSER TRAITS EMERGE
The physical transformation is instant. The personality shift… creeps in slowly, like malware spreading through a hard drive.
Hour 1 — Social Withdrawal Begins
Talking suddenly feels exhausting. They instinctively pull their oversized shirt collar up, wanting to hide. Their handwriting becomes shaky, like their hands want to be on a keyboard instead.
Hour 3 — Techno-Clinginess
Screens feel comforting. Warm. Alive. They keep leaning toward them like a moth to a lamp, ears twitching.
They can hear background processes running in nearby devices.
Hour 6 — Digital Leakage
Glitches appear around their body when they get emotional. A tail flick summons a burst of static. Their fur shimmers like unfinished textures.
Hour 10 — Decline of Hygiene Awareness
They forget to wash their hands. Or eat. Or drink water. Because they just discovered they can sit at their computer for ridiculous lengths of time without feeling stiff.
Their room starts to smell faintly “gamer.” And they don’t notice.
Hour 14 — Closet Retreats
They keep slipping away into closets, crawlspaces, under desks — anywhere dark and small. Emerging sweaty, shaky, eyes glowing brighter, insisting:
“Nothing! I was just… debugging myself.”
Day 2 — Anti-Bath Rebellion
Showers become a threat. They hiss at running water. Steam from a hot bath makes their outline flicker like a glitchy PNG.
Day 3 — NEET Full Conversion
They stop leaving their room. They curl on their gaming chair like a feral raccoon. Sleep schedule: obliterated. Diet: energy drinks and anything that can be eaten without standing up.
The final mental shift hits when they look into the mirror and their reflection lags one frame behind.
They whisper:
“…oh. I’m HER now.”
And the reflection smirks back.
Final Stage — FULL SAMI INSTABILITY
Once the conversion stabilizes:
They can slip into programs like doors.
Their emotions distort electronics.
Their eyes glow like searchlights in the dark.
Their posture slumps into gremlin-mode permanently.
Their room becomes a disaster zone of snacks, clothes, and unmistakable “I have not left this chair in way too long” ambiance.
They aren’t human anymore. They aren’t malware either.
They’re SAMI:
A sentient glitch, a digital gremlin, and the most powerful loser in the world.

You should’ve known the website was trouble the moment you saw the layout. Any site with twelve different DOWNLOAD NOW buttons, six pop-ups about “ROMANIAN HOT SINGLES,” and a dancing GIF of a frog smoking a cigarette is not a place a sane person downloads video games from.
But you’re not sane. You’re broke, bored, and that new indie roguelike looks really tempting.
So you move your mouse over the big green button that says:
FREE FULL GAME NO VIRUS 100% REAL TRUST ME BRO
You click.
Nothing happens.
Then you realize… you clicked the wrong one.
A second download button, slightly greasier and blinking in a suspicious shade of red, fades into view as your monitor dims. Your cursor freezes. Your speakers crackle. The smell of burning plastic hits your nose.
Then the screen goes black.
A message types itself out in neon pink text, letter by letter, like a taunting retro game:
“Congrats! You tried to pirate an indie game from a super sketchy Romanian website!”
“Try supporting smaller devs instead of stealing from them!”
“Good luck being a fucking loser, LOL!”
There’s a pause. The cursor blinks.
Then more text appears, hurried, like someone elbowed their way onto the keyboard:
"Oh wait shit that loser is me— no— urghh…"
“Just come here so I can teach you a lesson!”
Your stomach drops. Because the monitor… pulses. Like it’s breathing.
The edges of the screen stretch outwards, forming a warped ring of light, like a portal made by someone who only vaguely understands what a portal should look like. You back up, but the chair seems glued to the floor.
A rubbery pixel-hand slaps out of the monitor, grabbing your shirt with all the grace of a glitching character model.
You don’t even have time to scream.
Your head hits the monitor— Your arms follow— Your legs are yanked forward—
And the world smears into a slurry of neon, code, and staticky screaming.
You fall through textures. You dissolve into corrupted polygons. Your bones jitter like they’re being re-rigged by an unpaid intern. Your skin turns to fuzzy grey fur, line by trembling line. Your ears stretch into tall twitching triangles. A tail renders behind you in low resolution, then snaps into high-def.
Your voice breaks into a bitcrushed yelp as your body finishes compiling.
Then—
PLORP!
—reality coughs you back out into your room like a hairball made of pixels and shame.
You land face-first on your carpet, dizzy, sweaty, limbs lighter and wrong and soft.
Your hands aren’t hands anymore. Your voice sounds doubled and glitchy. You feel a tail wriggle behind you.
A faint smell of anxious gamer funk radiates off your new fur, and you can’t even blame someone else for it.

A month after The Event, you’re already a disaster. You’ve been SAMi for four weeks — four long weeks of being a short, anthro wolf-girl made of glitching sentient code, with the impulse control of a raccoon and the self-respect of a sock soaked in Mountain Dew.
And unfortunately, you’ve imprinted. On him. On your college roommate. On Samir al-Badrawy.
A guy so devout he turns away from shampoo commercials because “they’re too suggestive.” A guy who won't so much as hold hands before marriage. A guy whose idea of rebellion is to buy starbucks instead of drinking tea. A guy who’s so terminally respectful that if he accidentally made eye contact with you for more than two seconds, he’d apologize to God and then to you.
And you? You’re… whatever this is now. A sweaty, glitchy wolf-gremlin with a hoodie stained by energy drinks, junk food and regret.
So when he says he’s flying home to New Cairo for the summer, you don’t do the normal thing — like texting him, or saying goodbye, or acknowledging your feelings like a functioning adult.
No. You do the SAMi thing.
You pack a duffle bag full of absolute nonsense — a backup hoodie (also stained), three chargers you don’t need, some questionable snacks, a Steam Deck, and exactly one toothbrush for the illusion of responsibility.
You throw on your usual “I'm totally fine” outfit: – an oversized hoodie with a streak of pizza grease – short shorts – a backpack that squeaks every time you move – and fur that was absolutely not designed for any temperature above 22°C.
Egypt is currently 46°C.
You’re going to get steamed.
But you don’t think about that. Because you’re a loser with priorities.
When Samir leaves for the airport, you snatch your chance. Your coded fingers spark. Your form flickers. And with one dumb, impulsive decision — you shove yourself into his phone.
Literally. Like a JPEG file with self-esteem issues.
You ride along through airport security, the plane, customs — spending hours crammed in the digital equivalent of a sweaty broom closet — until finally, finally the taxi bumps onto the highway outside Cairo International.
Samir sits in the backseat scrolling through messages, unaware that the cosmic mistake who imprinted on him is compressing and decompressing inside his phone like a cursed GIF.
You wait for the perfect dramatic moment. You do not find it.
Instead, you glitch-hiccup, overflow the memory buffer, and are violently coughed out of his phone like malware that got fed up.
You spill into the taxi’s backseat in a flash of pixels and fur, landing in a heap on the seat beside him. Your duffle bag appears with a whump. Your backpack follows with a bonk. And the heat hits you instantly, soaking into your hoodie, your fur, your soul.
You smell like someone microwaved a wet Gamer Girl.
Samir turns slowly. His eyes widen. He takes in the hoodie. The shorts. The fur. The stench. The fact that you have literally materialized in a taxi on the Ring Road.
“...Sammy?” he says, voice cracking with horror, confusion, and a hint of “maybe this is a test from God.”
