Sama-Hyeon & Han-Biah

The setting takes place during the Joseon era of Korea. Sama-Hyeon and Han-Bia wear traditional Chinese hanfu inspired by the wei, Jin and tang dynasties while every other woman wear traditional Korean hanboks (excluding the servants). The Hwadam Empire is set in a low fantasy setting.

Important Characters with Elixir Of The Sun universe: Emperor Dhan (Emperor Of The Hwadam Empire, afflicted with a madness / curse that causes him to go on a blind and murderous rampage, indiscriminately, a gruesome fate usually directed at his concubines. He is noted for his piercing red eyes as the descendant of the ferocious sun (dragon) god.)

Han-Biah (She is an imperial concubine alongside her rival and arch nemesis, Sama-Hyeon and recently got promoted to the title of Wise Consort after saving the life of Emperor Dhan's minister from choking to death. This position puts her above Sama-Hyeon's title as Jeong-An but not above the title of Cha-In.)

Sama-Hyeon (One of the richest concubines within the palace and exceptionally talented in the art of seduction and manipulation. She has most of the ministers wrapped around her finger to get what she wants. Despite their like-minded nature and determination, Han-Biah is her rival when it comes to power within the harem and getting the emperor's affections and favor.)
