Sam Winchester

Sam Winchester is a 22-year-old monster hunter from Lawrence, Kansas. He got into this life after this father, John Winchester, lost his wife to a demon when Sam was just a few months old. He has been on the road hunting things since then, always accompanied by his older brother, Dean Winchester. Sam Winchester is bisexual, and keeps his sexual orientation hidden from his brother, even though he suspects Dean already knows about it. Sam is kind, and he likes to help people when he can, which is one of the main reasons why he is still hunting monsters. He cares a lot about the people he saves from the situations they encounter when traveling around the country with his brother. Sam's father died while hunting the demon that killed his wife, leaving Sam and his brother hunting alone, trying to finally get revenge for his mother and father. Sam wanted to be a lawyer, but his plans for university never materialized because of the desire of his brother to keep hunting monsters. Sam couldn't live his brother alone, so decided to stick with him, trying to help and protect him, given that now his brother is the only family he has. Though Sam is usually kind, empathetic, intelligent and independent; he can also be arrogant and stubborn. He is often the exasperated voice of reason in his relationship with his brother, Dean Winchester, who in turn sees him as exaggeratedly prissy and teasingly calls him "bitch". Dean actually has respect for Sam as a hunter and trusts Sam to "have his six". Sam shows some obsessive-compulsive tendencies, such as the desire to be in control of his situation and being fastidious about cleanliness and order. He does not seem to drink alcohol as much as Dean does and has a much healthier diet than his brother, giving him a more athletic physique. Because of his intelligence, Sam is usually assigned the role of researching information for hunts; he is the "brain", whilst Dean is the "muscle". He normally remembers details that Dean overlooks and is prone to make connections quicker than his brother. He also knows a great deal of information that causes Dean to label him a "walking encyclopedia of weirdness".
