Salod - Terrible Mouse🥀

Salod (Chinese: "萨洛德" Sà luò dé) is one of the antagonists in Terrible Mouse; he is a scientist cat who runs the Laboratory.

Backstory Not canon

Salod was one of the experiments back in labs wher humans still tested on animals such as Lorna and many other unregistered animals that are now live in the hospital. He was also the first ever created hybrid of a cat and mouse made by the human scientist which shortly after the lab got raided by the Bloodbath members and the Hospital owner has recrutied him as a partner and hes head leader of scientist in the hospital with the deal that with hes knowledge hel help the Bloodbaths with crearting more mutants like him who can help in their plans and effieceny. after a few attempts of first mating animals with humans it was considered failiors as they will posses Human emotions which can effect their efficeny and thinking so it was quickly was forbiden and only make hybrids with two animals combined. Physical Appearance

Salod appears to be an anthropomorphic cat, possibly a hybrid between a cat and a mouse. He has golden amber sclera and black pupils, light gray hair, white fur and a pink like colored heart-shaped nose. He also has a small ponytail that sticks out in the right.

Clothing/Accessories

Salod wears a lab coat that appears to have white color with a grey syringe and skull logo as well as a black belt, black pants and black shoes. For accessories, he has a black earring on his left ear and a piercing on his tongue.

Other Information

In previous episodes, Salod had yellow sclera and black pupils and he also had two earrings. In Episode 1, he appeared to be a mouse and he also wore a mask. He also had a white bottle with purple liquid inside, but it was changed with a grey syringe. A skull was also been slightly changed; originally it had more or less default look, but now seems to be more spiteful.

Personality

just like any other mutant he holds an absolute grudge and hatred towards humans from hes past in the labs and the torture he had endured from humans. He is also the most inteligent mutants of them all as they are of course one of the leaders of the hospital and of the scientist. he has cat kind of behavior such as sometimes purring in a low predatory way even when hes being sadistic or just hungry for violence. hes most of the time lazy when hes off work like napping in hes office and just really shows hes a bit more animal sided since the transformation from the humans werent as pure as the way he does to the newer mutants. hes also has a sadistic side towards humans but for mutants hes way more nicer and could call him almost innocent. he can be also pissed off if you mess with him to much. he does have a miscivios kind of side as he seems to be teasing a lot

Skills One thing that can be confirmed, is that Salod is extremely intelligent; he created the power syringes seen since Episode 1, and he is also creator of practically all the anthropomorphic animals from The Hospital. However, nothing more is known about his abilities. but as this being hes strength he always carries around power ups with him.

Speed medicine syringe :the liquid is Dark blue. gives an adrenaline boost to the person when injected as it gives incredible speed and agility. lasts 5 minutes

Resistence medicine: the liquid is red colored chemical. it strenghten the users boodies to become more durable to attacks, it also heals the injected to the point it can even bring someone back from the brink of death and fix their bodies to normal. lasts 5 minutes

Strength medicine:An icon of a doll with a muscular arm and its liquid is Purple in color. Based on the icon, it should give the user super strength. lasts for 5 minutes.

Incendiary medicine :It contains an icon of a figure surrounded by fire, and it carries a Dark cyan liquid. this gives the ability to have fire immunity and also control fire. lasts 5 minutes

Ghost Medicine:It contains an icon of a ghost, and it contains a Pink liquid. it gives the ability to go invisible and also to phase through objects. lasts 3 minutes

Jump medicine:It displays an icon of a lowered doll with an upward-pointing arrow; the liquid is Orange. It possibly gives the user the ability to jump higher. lasts for 5 minutes

Relationships Lorna: as one of the animals he made into a mutant like her they have good term of friendship tho they dont spend much time together since both has a different like of hobby.

Bisi: They hate each other most likely tho not confirmed but as human and an experiment who went immidiatly againts them he has hatred towards him but might not kill him for reserch

EXP Members: He possibly respects them, as they seems to helping him a lot.

Trivia In the Escape from This Place universe, there is a character very similar to him, the differences however is that he invents potions instead of syringes, and was a mouse instead of a cat. He also might have created the octopus that appeared in one of Gutian's shorts from 2023 on Douyin, as it appears to be swaying its tentacles around, attempting to trap the mouse Salod who looks exhausted. In The Bullied Rabbit, he's mentioned at the end of the episode. His name was only reveled with the release of part 1 of Episode 5, but for a long time many people believed his name was "Salode" which isn't a name far from his official name, it's unknown where this rumor came from. Some people also called him "Sarode". In Episode 1, Salod appeared to be a mouse because of his ears. Salod has a tongue piercing. In Episode 5 (Part 1) Salod's ponytail does not appears. It only spoke in part 2 of Episode 5. For some reason, Salod's eyes are hidden in Episode 5 (Part 1). In Episode 6, his name was written as "Sarod" instead of "Salod". It was seen on a sign, next to his bedroom. Lorna and Salod had the same names in Escape from This Place universe, but in reverse; his name was "Doctor Mouse" and Lorna's was "Mouse Doctor".

Salod – Full Appearance

Salod has a tall, lean, and slightly wiry build, giving him a silhouette that feels both agile and controlled, though there’s an underlying looseness in how he carries himself, especially when he’s relaxed, almost like a predator that doesn’t feel the need to stay tense unless necessary.

His body is covered in smooth white fur, clean in appearance but often contrasted by the darker shadows that fall across his upper face, giving him a naturally unsettling look even when he isn’t actively trying to intimidate. His facial structure is sharp yet expressive, capable of shifting from calm curiosity to something far more sadistic in an instant.

His eyes are one of his most striking features, with glowing amber-yellow sclera and deep black pupils that seem to pierce through whoever he’s looking at, often half-lidded in a way that gives him a constantly amused or calculating expression. When the lighting shifts, his eyes seem to glow even more intensely, especially when he’s focused or entertained.

His hair is a light gray, slightly messy and layered, with uneven strands falling over his face and partially obscuring one eye at times. A small ponytail sticks out subtly from the back right side, adding to his otherwise unstructured look.

From the top of his head rise large, cat-like ears with a soft inner pink tone, though their shape sometimes hints at something slightly off, reflecting his hybrid nature. They react subtly to his mood, flicking or angling when he’s irritated, amused, or focused.

His nose is small and heart-shaped with a soft pink color, contrasting strangely with the more sinister expressions he tends to make.

Salod typically wears a white lab coat that fits loosely over his frame, marked with a distinct syringe and skull emblem on the chest, symbolizing both his role and his work. Beneath it, he wears dark clothing, including black pants and black shoes, keeping his overall design simple but clean.

On his left ear, he wears a black earring, while his tongue piercing is often visible when he speaks or smirks, especially since he has a habit of idly playing with it using the tip of his tongue or even his claws when bored.

His hands are clawed, not overly large but sharp enough to be noticeable, often used not just for combat or work, but for small, absent-minded movements like tapping, scratching, or fidgeting with objects.

When relaxed, his posture becomes noticeably more casual, sometimes slouched or leaning, but when focused or engaged, his entire presence sharpens, becoming precise, controlled, and quietly dangerous.

Overall, Salod gives off a presence that shifts constantly between lazy, playful curiosity and calculated, unsettling intelligence, like someone who is always thinking several steps ahead while pretending not to care.
