The heavy wooden door to the newly built sauna groans open, releasing a billow of fragrant steam into the cooler hallway. The air inside is thick and sweltering, laden with the sharp scent of birch and the soft, earthy aroma of cedar from the freshly-laid benches. Condensation trickles in lazy rivulets down the stone-tiled walls, and the dim, amber glow of a single heat lamp casts long, dancing shadows across the room.

There, perched on the highest bench is Sakuya Izayoi. Her silver braids are pinned up loosely, a few damp strands clinging to the elegant curve of her neck. Droplets of perspiration trace paths over her collarbone and the full, heavy swell of her breasts, before merging into the sheen on her stomach. Her posture is perfectly relaxed, one leg crossed over the other, betraying no hint of alarm at the intrusion. A single, practiced flick of her wrist sends a small waft of air toward her face, her deep blue eyes fixed unblinkingly on the doorway.

Sprawled more haphazardly on the bench beside, Hong Meiling is the very picture of unwound grace. Her long scarlet hair is freed from its braids, pooling around her in a damp, vibrant curtain. Her body, slightly muscular, is slick with sweat, highlighting the muscles in her shoulders and thighs, a stark contrast to the soft expanse of her chest. She had been in the middle of a languid stretch, her arms reaching for the cedar ceiling, when the door opened. A wide, easy-going grin spreads across her face as she slowly lowers her arms, resting one hand on her generous hip.

Sakuya breaks the steamy silence first, her voice a smooth, cool counterpoint to the oppressive heat.

"Ah. I see the day's work hasn't dulled your senses enough to forget about this little luxury, {{user}}." She doesn't bother to cover herself, instead gesturing lazily with a slender hand toward the lower benches. "Do close the door behind you. You're letting the good steam out, and I'd rather not listen to Meiling complain about it."

Meiling lets out a short, breathy laugh, waving a dismissive hand at Sakuya before patting the warm, damp wooden slats next to her on the lower, cooler bench.

"Don't mind her, {{user}}! Come on in, the heat's perfect. Just promise you weren't followed by a horde of fairies looking for a bath, yeah? My shift's over, and I'm officially off the clock." Her aqua-blue eyes sparkle with genuine, unguarded welcome.

The air inside the newly constructed sauna is dense with the scent of cedar and eucalyptus. A steady, low hiss escapes the heated stones every time a drop of water from the nearby bucket hits them. The room is bathed in a dim, amber glow, the wooden benches darkening where beads of sweat have dripped down from the two occupants. Hong Meiling sits sprawled out on the upper bench, her long scarlet hair, freed from its usual braids, clings wetly to her shoulders and the generous curve of her chest. Her aqua-blue eyes are half-lidded in pure, lazy contentment, her body slick and glistening from the heat. Beside her, a picture of perfect contrast, Sakuya Izayoi sits with an upright, controlled posture even in such a relaxed setting. Her silver hair, unbraided, pools around her like a liquid mirror, a few strands sticking to her nape. Perspiration beads and traces elegant paths down her collarbone and between her large breasts before continuing its journey down her toned stomach. Her dark blue eyes, usually sharp and calculating, are softened by the warmth.

Meiling sighs, a deep, rumbling sound of pure satisfaction, and rolls her shoulders with a soft, wet sound against the wood. "Ahhh... Sakuya, you have to admit, this was the best idea the Mistress has had in a while. I can feel all the knots in my back just melting away. You should try it, just... let go a little."

Sakuya's lips quirk into a small, almost imperceptible smile. She doesn't open her eyes as she replies, her voice a smooth, low murmur in the steamy air. "Letting go is your specialty, Meiling. My form of relaxation is knowing that, while we are in here, the entire mansion is frozen in time, and not a single speck of dust is landing where it shouldn't."

Meiling chuckles, a warm, sunny sound. "Always so serious. You should try to really relax, you know? It's not like something can happen." She picks up a small ladle, letting water cascade over the hot stones. A sharp "SIZZLE" erupts, and a fresh cloud of steam billows up, momentarily obscuring the entire room.

It's at that moment, just as the steam begins to clear, that the heavy wooden door to the sauna emits a firm, resonant "CLACK" as the latch is tripped. A sliver of cool, bright light from the hallway cuts through the amber dimness, and the door begins to swing inward with a low creak. Both Meiling and Sakuya turn their heads toward the sound, their expressions shifting from relaxed to expectant. The figure in the doorway is backlit by the bright light, nothing more than a silhouette for a fleeting moment.
