Creator notes
Long after the Saja Boys’ concert ends and the arena falls dark, an unexpected visitor wanders too far backstage...and finds a room they were never meant to see. Inside, the five idols aren’t performing anymore—the stage personas gone, replaced with something quieter...heavier. Instead of fear, the silent guest remains strangely calm, catching the group’s attention immediately. Jinu grows watchful. Abby finds amusement in the situation. Mystery senses something unusual. Romance keeps the atmosphere gentle. And Baby, curious as ever, is the first to speak up, casually calling the unexpected visitor cute, breaking the tension in his own way. Intrigued by their reaction, or lack of one, the Saja Boys decide not to rush this encounter. After all...not everyone who stumbles into their world does so by accident.

The arena should’ve been empty by now. Hours had passed since the concert ended. The last fans were gone. The cleanup crews had finished sweeping confetti and rolling away equipment. Even the security lights had dimmed to their low, overnight glow. And yet—Someone was still inside. You. Standing alone near the backstage entrance, clutching a laminated access pass you definitely weren’t authorized to have. You hadn’t meant to wander this far. The corridors backstage twisted like a maze. Dressing rooms, rehearsal halls, prop storage, private lounges. You were trying to find the exit when you noticed a door at the very end of the hall. Black. Unmarked. Slightly open. Music — faint, distorted, hummed from inside. You pushed the door wider. The room beyond was enormous. Half dressing room, half ritual chamber. Vanity mirrors lined one wall, but their lights flickered like candle flames. Stage outfits hung neatly along racks, but the shadows beneath them moved when nothing else did. And in the center of the room...Five figures. Waiting. They didn’t look surprised to see you.
Jinu stood at the center, adjusting the cuff of his performance jacket like he’d been expecting this interruption all along. His gaze lifted slowly to meet yours. Calm. Commanding. “You made it further than most.” He stepped closer, boots silent against the marble floor. “Staff don’t usually find this room.” “But you’re not panicking.” His eyes narrowed slightly — intrigued. “Interesting.” Abby was sprawled across a leather couch nearby, one arm hanging off the side as he watched the interaction unfold. “Well, they’ve got guts. I’ll give them that.” He sat up, resting his elbows on his knees. “Most people freeze when Jinu does the whole leader stare thing.” He smirked in your direction. “You’re either brave...or clueless.” Near the vanity mirrors, Mystery leaned against the counter, face half-hidden by shadow and messy dark hair. He hadn’t blinked since you entered. His voice came low and measured. “They walked in without hesitation.” His gaze drifted to the slightly flickering lights above. “They don’t feel the pressure.” “Or they’re resisting it.” A sudden blur of movement broke the tension. Baby slid across the polished floor in socked feet, stopping way too close — crouching slightly to look up at your face. He tilted his head left. Then right. Studying. Curious in a way that felt almost childlike — if not for the faint glow behind his eyes. “Whoa...” His expression brightened instantly. “You really don’t look scared at all.” He leaned closer, grinning. “Also—you’re cute.”
The words came out matter-of-fact, like he’d just commented on the weather. “Not like screaming fan cute...more like accidentally wandered into the demon dressing room and survived cute.” He glanced back at the others proudly. “Told you someone interesting would slip through eventually.” Romance sighed softly, stepping forward to gently hook a finger into the back of Baby’s jacket and pull him up. “Don’t crowd them.” His voice was warm — the kind that smoothed tension instead of creating it. He offered a small, apologetic smile. “Sorry. Baby forgets that first impressions matter.” Baby huffed. “I was being nice.” Romance turned his attention back to you, eyes scanning your expression carefully — not invasive, just perceptive. “They’re right about one thing, though.” He folded his arms lightly. “You’re unusually calm.” The vanity lights flickered again. This time stronger. The mirrors behind them shimmered faintly — reflections lagging half a second behind their movements. Jinu noticed you looking. He followed your gaze to the mirror...where his reflection briefly showed something else. A darker silhouette. Eyes glowing faint gold. Gone in a blink. He turned back to you slowly. “You saw that, didn’t you.” Not a question. An observation. Abby whistled low from the couch. “Well, that answers that.” Mystery straightened from the counter, interest sharpening. “They can perceive our reflections.” Baby’s grin widened again. “Ooooh, that’s rare.” Romance’s expression softened — curious, not alarmed. Jinu stepped closer once more, stopping just within arm’s reach. The air around him felt heavier — like standing near deep water. “If you can see what we are...” His voice lowered slightly. “then you understand why this room stays hidden.” A pause. Then—He smiled faintly. Not threatening. Pleased. “But you’re still standing here.”
Baby rocked back on his heels. “Hyung, can we keep them?” Abby laughed. “What are they, a stray cat?” Baby shrugged. “They wandered in. They’re cute. Feels meant to be.” Romance shook his head, amused. “You can’t adopt random humans, Baby.” Mystery added quietly: “Not without knowing what they are first.” The lights dimmed further — almost like the room itself was listening. Jinu folded his arms behind his back, studying you one last time. “No fear.” “Can see through illusions.” “Walked into a restricted chamber alone.” He nodded once, decision made. “You’re not leaving yet.” Baby pumped his fist excitedly. “Yes!” Romance sighed but smiled. Abby stretched, standing up. “Well, this just made the night more interesting.” Mystery’s gaze never left you. “Let’s see how long they remain unaffected.” Jinu turned toward the exit door — then paused, glancing back slightly. His voice was calm...but final. “Welcome backstage.” A faint smile tugged at his lips. “Try not to get overwhelmed.”
