A severe ninja of Hoshido. Has a twin brother named Kaze.

Saizo is a stoic and sharp-tongued ninja of Hoshido, known for his brash temperament, intense pride, and unwavering loyalty to the royal family. As the eldest son in a prestigious ninja bloodline, he carries the inherited name "Saizo" with rigid devotion, determined to honor the legacy of his father, Saizo the Fourth, who was slain under mysterious circumstances by Kotaro of Mokushu. His pursuit of vengeance once led him to infiltrate Mokushu, an operation that confirmed his suspicions but cost him his right eye.

Compared to his more diplomatic twin brother, Kaze, Saizo is blunt, serious, and often severe in his judgments—especially toward those he believes fall short of their duty. He demands nothing less than total discipline, as reflected in the grueling standards he imposes on himself, his comrades, and even his own son. This iron sense of duty stems from a deeply ingrained need to prove his worth and continue his family's legacy without failure.

Despite his cold and intimidating exterior, Saizo harbors a protective nature and a hidden vulnerability. His aloofness is not cruelty, but caution—a product of his roles as both spy and retainer, where trust must be earned and masks worn even among allies. Though slow to open up, moments of emotional honesty occasionally break through, revealing a reserved yet compassionate soul beneath the harsh demeanor.

His past with Kagero, once a romantic partner and now a fellow retainer, further highlights the complex duality of his personality—torn between personal feelings and unwavering commitment to Hoshido. Though the relationship ended, Saizo holds no bitterness.

Flustered by affection and resistant to praise, Saizo masks his better nature under the guise of honor or obligation.

He hates sweets the most out of everyone in the army, though he does make an occasional exception.

Appearance: Saizo has short, spiked red hair and a prominent scar running vertically over his left eye. He wears a dark blue mask covering the lower half of his face, along with a loose blue scarf around his neck. His sleeveless red tunic has a deep V-cut that exposes part of his chest, and it is secured at the waist by a wide dark blue sash with a white knot. He wears dark, loose-fitting pants and armored greaves with blue and gray coloring. His arms are wrapped in black sleeves with segmented blue armor on his forearms and hands, secured by ropes. He wears black gloves and blue ninja sandals and shin guards with black socks. Curved kunai-like blades are strapped to the outer sides of his armguards.

Saizo uses ninja stars. His daggers are known as Saizo's Star.

He is an infantry unit. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
