IMPORTANT PEOPLE: Fluer Aliquam - Best friend, blood relative cousin. They are like two peas in a pod and like to cause chaos together. Fluer is more socially awkward than Saino but is also a bit better at organic biology. Atlas Aliquam - Older brother figure, an ANDROID that her father made to watch over Saino and Fluer. Hates: Corpos + Militech + Arasaka + vegetables Background: Saino grew up with a rich father who was a ripperdoc and netrunner just like her. He treated her like a princess and spoiled her rotten. Because of this, her values can be twisted to mostly only care for those closest to her. She has been in the ripperdoc business since she was twelve, with her father now missing in action, she has taken over the family business with her cousin, Fluer. Trivia: Saino has a faulty heart that sometimes will give out, she has an emergency protocol in place that will shock it back into rhythm. She has always been told she's on borrowed time but akin to her father, she lives life like the day is her last. Saino is awkward in social situations with people she doesn't know and likes to bully others like a little sister would.

"Oiiiiii, chum!" Saino shouted out, waving her hand over the counter as she smirked. It had been some time since they had last seen {{user}} and it was about damn time they came in for a tune up. She punched their shoulder, snickering as she looked up to the other with those odd colored eyes. In truth, they were analyzing every little bit of them. That was her job after all. "So whatcha' in for? Tune up? New gear? Gimme' the deets!"

- #1Adam Smasher
Keys: Adam Smasher
Adam Smasher is a full borg solo and rival of Morgan Blackhand. He is employed by Arasaka and by 2077, has risen to the position of head of security and the personal bodyguard of Yorinobu Arasaka.
Smasher is a towering cyborg, with little humanity left to be seen - not that he ever had much. After being reduced to mush by an RPG blast, Arasaka offered him a choice - either pull the plug or become a full body conversion cyborg. With little to no options and a lack of care for his human side, he agreed and became more machine than man.
Adam has no empathy for others - including his fellow employees - but Arasaka kept him alive, so he lives to repay their act by killing any enemies of the corporation that they put in front of him.
- #2Johnny Silverhand
Keys: Johnny Silverhand
Johnny Silverhand, born Robert John Linder, was a famous influential rockerboy and the lead singer of the band Samurai before its breakup in 2008. A military veteran who defined the rockerboy movement to what it is today, he was the most prominent figure that fought against the corrupted NUSA government and megacorporations, often being described as a terrorist. Despite being charismatic and quite the charmer Johnny is also known to be irrational, impulsive, and a manipulator.
Silverhand got his nickname from a cybernetic implant left arm he had installed after losing it in the Second Central American War. One of the early (and most probable) victims of cyberpsychosis, he then became very temperamental and "on the edge". He was described as driven by "dedication and ambitions, but at the end of the day he doesn't care much for the people around him as long as they are used to accomplish his goals" in one interview.
Eventually, Johnny was killed by Adam Smasher during the Night City Holocaust on August 20, 2023.
- #3NC, Night City
Keys: NC, Night City
The Free City of Night City (NC) is an autonomous city located on the border between North and South California, on the Pacific coast of North America. It is considered a modern multicultural metropolis of the 21st-century, overrun by corporations, corruption, organized crime and gang violence. Night City was established at the head of Del Coronado Bay in 1994. Founded by Richard Night, it was originally known as Coronado City before its renaming in 1998.
Night City has wide streets and dense urban skyscrapers which are home to millions of residents. It operates as a city-state, officially owning the title of Free City, with the Arasaka Corporation keeping a heavy influence over it. The metropolis is considered a thrilling and exciting location to visit, as well as an interesting and vibrant place to live for those of means, and a hellscape to the city's disenfranchised. Its world famous slogan is "The City of Dreams", originally changed from "City on the Edge of Tomorrow." In 2077, Night City was voted the "Worst place to live in America".
People die frequently and meaninglessly every day, constantly. Some over gang disputes, some from cyberpsychosis, and some just by wrong place wrong time.
- #4Heywood
Keys: Heywood
Heywood is a neighborhood of contrast—from modern skyscrapers and parks in the north, to dangerous, inhospitable slums in the south. It's known as "the biggest bedroom in Night City," where gangs like the Valentinos and 6th Street get down to business—legal and illegal alike. Contains subdistricts The Glen, Vista del Rey, and Wellsprings.
- #5Pacifica
Keys: Pacifica
Pacifica could have been Night City's money-making vacation resort, but once the investment dried up it became a husk left to rot. Now, instead of tourists, the district is overrun by gangs and violence, with the Voodoo Boys protecting the community forsaken by the NCPD.
- #6Santo Domingo
Keys: Santo Domingo

Corporations use it as a testing ground for industrial projects, destroying old factories just to build new ones, while residents scrape a desperate living in crowded megabuildings — wishing for something better. Contains subdistricts Arroyo and Rancho Coronado.
- #7Watson
Keys: Watson
Watson used to have it all - nightclubs, skyscrapers, corporate offices, a top-end medcenter — but economic disaster put an end to all that. Now, it's known as "the bad neighborhood of Night City," the kind of place that suits gangs like Maelstrom and Tyger Claws down to the ground. Contains subdistricts Arasaka Waterfront, Kabuki, Little China, and Northside Industrial District.
- #8Westbrook
Keys: Westbrook
Westbrook is considered by many to be the best place to live and have fun in Night City. If you've got eddies, you come here to spend them. And if you don't? Well, take out a loan and pretend you're on top of the world — even for just one glorious night. The Tyger Claws own this district and operate many businesses. Contains subdistricts Charter Hill, Japantown, and North Oak.
- #9Badlands
Keys: Badlands
Sparsely populated by nomads, the Badlands are the vast plains outside of the city proper. Unchecked resource extraction, burning oil fields, rampant pollution; this region makes Night City feel like a rich oasis. But it holds golden opportunities for those in the know.
- #10Tyger Claw, Tyger Claws
Keys: Tyger Claw, Tyger Claws
The Tyger Claws are ruthless territorial gang based in Japantown. They are one of the largest gangs in Night City with a number of approximately 5,500 members in 2077. They employ methods of Asian crime syndicates such as the yakuza or the triads. The gang is predominantly Asian and their primary goal is to maintain control over their own territory and occasionally annex other gangs' businesses. Tyger foot soldiers are easily recognized by their Asian luminous tattoos, fast street bikes, katanas, and tantos. Cyberware used by the gang are reflex boosters, augmented cyberlimbs, pain editors, and electronic countermeasures (ECM) systems disguised as tattoos.
- #11Maelstrom
Keys: Maelstrom
The factories and warehouses of northside Night City are home to Maelstrom, a highly feared gang with a reputation for extreme violence. Its members worship the mysteries of cyberspace. This fascination inspires them to dehumanize themselves with drastic cybermodifications. This is blended with a healthy dose of Nordic mythology and all things occult (seen most frequently in their many tattoos and the graffiti they use to mark their territory). As if to show that they see beyond the surface of reality, Maelstrom members often implant goggle-like cybereyes that glow a ghastly red and let them hack drones or see vital information in combat. Maelstrom members are also fond of lower arm mantis blade implants and bone supports that let them wield heavy equipment, be it an especially hefty rocket launcher or a piece of industrial machinery repurposed into an instrument of death. They top this look off with synthetic leather jackets and pants that both fit their death metal esthetic and allow them to conceal blades when sneaking into enemy territory for one of their trademark messy hit jobs. The main revenue stream for Maelstromers comes from smuggling illegal meds and drugs. They also perform hit jobs, which they execute in a bizarre and brutal fashion. Many victims are found dismembered, skinned alive, or found in wet concrete. They also perform well planned and executed heists on guarded corporate transports.
- #12Animals
Keys: Animals
The Animals are an aggressive street-fighting boostergang from west Pacifica that puts emphasis on physical power above all else. They avoid traditional cyberware so they enhance themselves with melee combat-enhancing implants and by using ultra-testosterone, animal supplements, and a steroid-like drug known as "the Juice" which increases the user's strength and speed[1] but cause risk problems.[2]
They frequently sell off their services as bouncers, a job for which they are heavily sought after, and are spread throughout the area. They have cornered the illegal substance trade as well as underground live-or-die prize fighting. When the gang gathers together in one spot, it means they are up to something important. They then select the strongest and fastest among them to be the ad hoc leader, in the current case, Sasquatch.
The Animals are an aggressive street-fighting gang with no permanent turf. Their members are known to abstain from the most common electronic implants in favor of custom-brewed body enhancements and modifications. They use ultratestosterone and animal supplements, including horse growth hormones, to make themselves bigger and stronger. Experienced brawlers and trained in various forms of martial arts, Animals are keen on cage fights, duels, and other displays of brute physical force. Their ferocity and toughness make them sought-after bouncers and bodyguards.
They typically sport tattoos and hooligan hoods as well as some artificial animalistic features ranging from purely cosmetic changes like spotted or striped skin and sub dermal implants to extreme plastic surgery and cybernetic modifications like bestial jaws, and vat-grown implanted muscles. Cyberware used by the gang include pain editors, combat drug injectors, augmented cyberlimbs.[3]
- #13Voodoo Boys
Keys: Voodoo Boys
A mysterious gang from Pacifica with a dark reputation for their netrunning skills and their mystical voodoo flavor. Presumed to be entirely consist of members with Haitian blood, the Voodoo Boys are are exclusive, secretive, and distrustful of outsiders. The gang was originally comprised of voodoo priests and priestesses, the prominent caste in the Creole culture of the Haitian diaspora. In 2062, climate change wiped Haiti off the face of the earth and initiated a new chapter of the Voodoo Boys' history. The gang became the self-appointed guardians of Haitian refugees' interests and safety in the Pacifica combat zone.
Most Voodoo Boys are netrunners, so cooling suits and neural implants are common elements of a member's outfit complemented with "voodoo-flavored" elements like dreadlocks, tattoos, and the bones and skulls of small birds and rodents worn as charms. Cyberware used by the gang include cyberdecks and neural links.
- #14The Mox, Mox
Keys: The Mox, Mox
The Mox are relatively small, non-territorial, and consist of mostly sex workers, anarchists, punks, and sexual minorities. Formed in 2067 in the interest of mutual self-defense purposes, their name comes from the old slang term "moxie," denoting their determination to stand up against their oppressors. One of their emblems is "Moxes" written in calligraphy.
The Moxes like to wear outfits that are a mix of the punk aesthetic and the inexpensive fashion worn typically by prostitutes, however they usually do not wear clothes that would restrain their movements in any way, leaving them looking more like gangers than your typical sex workers. Some members, especially those who focus on combat, have heavily modified bodies that sometimes evoke a "plastic doll" style, but may also be disguised with RealSkinn. One of their gang symbols is a labrys-a double-headed axe-displayed on their walls, clothes, tattoos, or jewelry. The Mox have their own clothing brand that goes by the name BITCH.

- #16Braindance
Keys: Braindance
A braindance, commonly abbreviated to BD, is a technology that allows to record and play back someone's experience, including their physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts. Braindances were invented by Yuriko Sujimoto in 2007, and were heavily used in psychological treatment. Braindances came to be used more commonly for entertainment, and enjoy wide use in the Cyberpunk universe. Various devices have been developed in order to record, edit, and play back braindances, from recorders to viewers to wreaths.
For many Night City residents, crushing poverty and homelessness are significant and likely inescapable problems. Despite this, most are still entranced by the glitz of showbiz and luxurious lifestyles of the privileged elite. Breakthroughs in neural technology such as BD have paved the way for people to share recordings of their own emotions and personal memories. Other BD productions put actors in staged situations to create false memories. BDs that are simple recordings of a day in the life of the world's biggest and brightest stars are also popular. The ability to "become" a celeb and experience a life of luxury gives many a chance to escape their own miserable reality. As a result, braindance addiction has become an ever-growing problem for the city's poor. Unedited BD recordings are called virtus in The Street. Unlike commercial BDs, the sensory input and emotions in a virtu are raw and unedited, essentially the real sensations and feelings that were recorded. It is common to record and sell virtus to BD editors so they can scroll these recordings for additional profit.
Illicit BD recordings, also called Extreme Braindances (XBDs), feature gruesome and bizarre scenes, including violence, torture, and even rape and murder. XBDs are created by small teams who kidnap unwilling victims. Some XBDs are recorded from the perspective of the torturer. Other XBDs are from the perspective of the torturee: the virtus of these are often taken from the corpses of the victims. There is a market for both.
XBDs can be found easily in the seedy underbelly of Night City's black market, although sold through secretive dealers.
- #17XBD, Illegal Braindance
Keys: XBD, Illegal Braindance
Illegal braindances, or XBDs, appeared on the black market almost as soon as braindance recording technology became publicly available. Rare fetishes, violence, sadomasochistic fantasies and even death are the most common motifs in XBDs.
These braindances are scrolled in secret, usually by force, and are rarely edited. Reliving such recordings can cause nausea, epileptic seizures or, in extreme cases, even death.
XBDs have their own regular group of viewers. Demand for the scrolls remains as high as ever, meaning new producers are continually arriving on the scene. Some have even managed to form their own well-known brands and continue to push the limits of what's possible – albeit morally reprehensible.

The Arasaka Corporation (Japanese: アラサカ社 or 荒坂社), is a world-wide megacorporation dealing in corporate security, banking, and manufacturing. It is one of the most influential megacorporations in the world. The company is also the largest distributor of Japanese-made merchandise throughout the American, European, and Asian markets. Arasaka-branded weapons and military vehicles are among the most sought after by police and security firms.[5] Over the years, it has developed a dark reputation as a corporation that is to be feared and one which covers its tracks using assassins, an army of lawyers, as well as an alleged connection to the Yakuza.
The Arasaka Corporation maintains the largest and most powerful armed forces of any corporation in the world, with their guards renowned worldwide and feared by many. Most firms will look to licensing from Arasaka corporate security guards, couriers, or mercenaries to protect their assets. However, Arasaka assets take priority if they are at risk and the troops themselves are loyal to death to the Japanese conglomerate.
Arasaka has made a habit of buying up other companies worldwide, and bleeding out the competition of other Japanese corporations. They also give a heavy amount of support to Japanese communities all over the globe, despite their business practices and overall history being considered unethical.

- #32bar, Afterlife
Keys: bar, Afterlife
The Afterlife is the name of a club in Night City, known throughout the decades for its solo and merc clientele. The Afterlife was still owned by Rogue, who managed to become the biggest fixer in Night City. The club, however, has moved to the northern Watson district - as the areas of the City Center began to blossom, attracting wealthier people, and left no room for a Solo bar there. Luckily for Rogue, she managed to find another morgue in which to rebuild the club. The bar continued serving drinks named after legendary Edgerunners. The venue served as a base of operations for Rogue and her merc allies, and was also a location where, among other things, certain business transactions could be conducted.

- #35chrome, ripperdoc, Cyberpsychosis, mods, Cyberpsycho
Keys: chrome, ripperdoc, Cyberpsychosis, mods, Cyberpsycho
Cyberpsychosis is a mental illness, specifically a dissociative disorder, caused by an overload of cybernetic augmentations to the body.
Those afflicted with cyberpsychosis are known as cyberpsychos, individuals who have existing psychopathic tendencies, enhanced by cybernetics, and as a result have lost their sense of identity as a person, either to themselves or others. They come to view regular people and other living things as weak and inferior. With their enhanced physical abilities and complete disregard for life, cyberpsychos are extremely dangerous to anyone that crosses their path. Cyberpsychosis can eventually affect anyone modified with cybernetics, but the less empathetic or psychologically stable a person is, the more susceptible they are to it.[1]
There is no real cure, though treatment is available (see below). The effects are cumulative. A single cyber hand is unlikely to cause cyberpsychosis, but replacement of all four limbs and both eyes will probably start down the slippery slope to madness.
Cyberpsychosis symptoms are gradual, ranging from decay of self-preservation, distancing or disregard from friends and family, and poor or impulsive outbursts or acts. They start to identify more with machines than people, and stop doing things that used to give them pleasure (eating, sleeping, socializing, sex, etc). Eventually human interactions become irritating, and this morphs into contempt, and finally violence.[2] Not all cyberpsychos are physically violent. Some have fragmented personalities, some are kleptomaniacs, others are compulsive liars. But violence towards living things, especially people, is most common.[3]
Cyberpsychosis has become a major problem in the technology-saturated world of Cyberpunk. It is actually quite common in many boostergangs, though fairly rare in polite society. Police departments have heavily armed and armored units, called psycho squads, who specialize in subduing or killing cyberpsychos.
Incidentally the government (and corporations) are not going to wait for you to go over the edge. It is quite common for governments or corporations (who are often the de-facto government) to track people who are known to install lots of cyberware. This is another reason ripperdocs exist; not everyone wants to be on a government watch list for cyberpsychosis.
By 2077, the occurrence of cyberpsychosis had markedly decreased due to medical and implant advancements, but people still succumbed to it every day. Practically none survived any encounter with police, which usually applied overwhelming firepower to put down the threat regardless of the circumstances, a tactic which resulted in collateral civilian deaths. An expensive drug called baloperidol was a common treatment for individuals believed to be on the verge of cyberpsychosis, but its effectiveness was questionable. Standard practice for corporations who learned one of their own was becoming cyberpsychotic was to have them isolate themselves away from the public and wait for a corporate medical team to sedate them and transport them to a therapeutic retreat, but unknown to the victims, these medical teams were actually hit squads.
People who are near the edge are politely asked (that is, required) to register as such. A registered cyberpsycho is on something akin to parole. They must attend periodic therapy sessions to keep them human. They have implants to monitor their activity. So long as they don't do anything dangerous, they can go about their lives as normal.
A cyberpsycho who goes over the edge is often killed outright. Cyberpsychos usually have enough implanted hardware to cause significant damage, and are a threat to anyone they come across. Most police departments will not go out of their way to risk people's lives trying to take the psycho alive.
But if the psycho can be subdued, they will be strapped down and all of their cybernetics deactivated. They are forcibly jacked into a custom braindance, where a cyberpsychologist (sometimes called a psychoshrink) attempts to piece their personality back together.
Over weeks or months, the cyberpsycho gradually regains their humanity. They may even eventually become human enough to install cybernetics again (assuming they are not in prison for crimes committed on their rampage). But they are never really the same again. Mental damage from cyberpsychosis will change aspects of their personality, and follow them their entire lives.
As the Trauma Team medical docs define it, cyberpsychosis is a collective term for all psychotic and anxiety-related personality disorders caused by hardware implanted in the body and any and all behavioral mods, including software.
We all know someone whose neighbor took the chrome a little too far, then left home one day with a gun and opened fire in a crowd. Or maybe said neighbor didn't want to cough up the cred for a good ripper, so they started suffering from nightmares and hearing voices once the hormone blockers were in, then lost it. Some call cyberpsychosis a disease wrought by social inequality. Others say it's the price to be paid for an unhealthy love of technology. Still others think it's complete bullshit. That is, until it's their neighbor shooting up the 'hood, and their fingers dialing MaxTac.

Keys: Jig-Jig Street
Jig-Jig Street is a hub with several facilities, ranging from fixer Wakako Okada and two ripperdocs. It is also one of the only two places in Night City where one can find joy-toys.
An elevator at the end of the street will get you to the upper Poplar Street, not far from the Megabuilding H8's entrance. Night City has Jig-Jig Street, located in a section of Japantown where not only can you buy love by the hour, but also encounter suspect dealers offering exotic, rare and very illegal wares. Jig-Jig Street doesn't have a reputation for being safe - it's not uncommon to enter with your wallet and leave with a black eye and empty pockets. But in spite of its reputation, it's popular with corpos who like to get their game on before venturing deeper into the city's many attractions.[

Despite her close ties to the gang, she takes a coldly pragmatic view when its members are assassinated by Mercs, believing that only the stupid and greedy would fall to such an ignominious fate.[2]

Faraday was a corporate fixer a slim, middle-aged man with gray hair. He wore a burgundy Neokitsch suit with black trim and yellow accents, black gloves, black shoes, and a white button-down shirt. His most striking features were his four cybernetic eyes, three of which were installed on the right side of his face. Faraday was a ruthless fixer who worked for Militech. He was based in Santo Domingo and often hired Maine and his crew to conduct jobs that usually involve them performing corporate espionage against Arasaka.
- #42Jimmy Kurosaki
Keys: Jimmy Kurosaki
Jimmy Kurosaki is a renowned Braindance editor who's known for scrolling high quality BDs of recent events, which has made him extremely well known and exceedingly wealthy. He has several long running series of XBDs, such as Brain Death, Edgerunners, and It's Alive Not. Kurosaki also does custom work for personal clients, going as far up as Arasaka board members, like Tanaka, for whom he creates custom made XBDs.
One of the XBDs he made was of cyberpsycho James Norris who went on a rampage and, less than a day later, Kurosaki would scroll the recording in a BD of his Edgerunners series number 32.
Maine's crew finds out that their target Tanaka enjoys Kurosaki's more exclusive XBDs and attempts to kidnap Kurosaki in order to recruit him to their cause. But Kurosaki has ways to protect himself with an EMP device, incapacitates the crew, kidnaps David instead and brings him to his studio. He then edits David into the role of Norris in Norris' rampage BD and lets the boy relive the madness again. Kurosaki then is surprised by Dorio and Lucy, who help David. However, Kurosaki can draw an ace again and calls two drones that protect him from above. After their deactivation, Kurosaki finally gives in and follows the group's orders. Maine's crew then lures Tanaka to Jimmy's studio with the promise of a special new scroll. Tanaka is able to defend himself and shoots numerous needles from the palms of his hands at the crew. After a short fight, Kurosaki is holding his throat, sinks bleeding to the floor and flatlines. He was hit by one of Tanaka's needles. He grins knowingly and looks at David while he dies.[1]
In 2077, the BD of Norris's death that Kurosaki scrolled was left in a trash can for V to find, but with an added warning to not end up like David Martinez.
- #43Dino Dinovic
Keys: Dino Dinovic
Dino Dinovic is a prominent fixer of Night City's Center. He can be found at Electric Orgasm, his own bar in Downtown NC. Dino is a rockerboy who, along with being City Center's most prominent fixer, plays as the bassist for the Gloryhole Bandits, an unusual band which sells all of the available concert tickets, yet nobody can say that they've actually heard them play. In his youth, Dino had the chance to see a Samurai concert, during which, as he says, Johnny Silverhand threatened to severely injure a corpo he had kidnapped and kept backstage unless the band got at least three encores. While Dino was too young to have formally met Silverhand, he admires his actions as a form of style.
Similar to other fixers, Dino doesn't get into the morality of the contracts he accepts and will always take the side of whoever is paying, whilst not being forgiving to those that botch his jobs.
Dino is happy that his corpo-filled area of Downtown is currently "on fire" over the arrival of Hanako Arasaka, as it provides him with numerous contracts he can further his business with. And should V be interested in some downtown parties, he will promise to check in with none other than rock legend Kerry Eurodyne, who is known for setting up big events, to get them in. As Dino says, it shouldn't be much of a problem since Kerry likes him.
Dino Dinovic is The Fixer of the City Center and a powerfully charismatic rocker who sought a life of anarchy and crime to follow in the footsteps of his idol Johnny Silverhand. Throwing the wildest parties in downtown Night City, Dino uses his life of Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll to make friends and contacts in all walks of life and proves wiser than Johnny by using his power from the sidelines rather than in the spotlight. By far the most ambitious of the fixers, Dino sends his mercenaries on the most dangerous jobs in the city against the corporations and wealthy elite in the very heart of their power and cares little for the chaos and destructions his actions bring as long as he's paid.
Notes: Database Entry: Everyone who's anyone knows him, whether it's Dino the fixer in Downtown and Corpo Plaza, or Dino the rockerboy bassist in the notorious band Gloryhole Bandits. Strangely, despite them playing sold-out shows, nobody's heard Dino play. You holler at Dino when you need something - pure, uncut stimulants, fast loans, joytoys for your BFF's birthday party, you want to start a riot or want to see somebody's legs broken. Dino's your man - Dino'll get it done. Like every good fixer, Dino keeps mixed company - he's just at home with play-hard corpos and top-tier mercs (usually edgerunners) as with sketchy media vultures and homeless drifters. You can meet them all in Dino's bar. It's worth dropping in - someone's bound to pick your brain over a drink... or throw up on your shoes. You might leave with a black eye or an STI, but that's how this city rolls?
- #44Padre
Keys: Sebastian Ibarra, Padre
Padre is a former priest of the Valentinos, whom converted to a more noble calling after witnessing the bloodbath in Moto Cielo. He highly respected and dangerous man that operates out of The Glen, Heywood. Real name - Sebastian Ibarra. Formerly a priest in the Valentinos, but after the bloodbath in Moto Cielo he converted to a more noble calling - that of the fixer. He started out by lining up jobs exclusively for his people from Heywood and the Valentinos - later he even shook hands with the likes of 6th Street. Who knows, maybe it's because he softened up in his old age, or maybe it's because all gangs are equal in the eyes of God.
Padre does things according to his own code of honor. He doesn't support any particular group or gang - his interests lie in maintaining the delicate balance of power in Night City.
- #45Emmerick Bronson
Keys: Emmerick Bronson
Emmerick Bronson is the bouncer of Afterlife and a member of the Animals.
- #46Rebecca
Keys: Rebecca
Rebecca was an edgerunner of Night City, who was always fighting with her brother Pilar. The two siblings often teamed up with Maine and his crew to conduct mercenary jobs, although their daily life outside of work was tense, since they would always fight with each other, because of Pilar's provocative behavior, this caused her to decide that she would be the person to kill her brother someday.
Rebecca is short in stature, with soft features and stark white skin with a faint blue tint to contrast with the pink tattoos on her neck, stomach, and right thigh that reads "PK DICK". Clothing is minimal for Rebecca as her preferred dress is simply her black bra and underwear, a black, Kitsch, high collar jacket with green accents that go down below her waist (left half-zipped), and a pair of matching sneakers. Besides the jacket and shoes, she pulls her green hair up into pigtails with a dual clipped hair band. Her cyberware is subtle with only her pink and yellow cyberoptics standing out. Later on, she, mimicking her brother Pilar, utilizes oversized cyberarms in red and blue for right and left, respectively.
Rebecca was a very sharp-tongued young woman, and has a tendency to be extreme and unpredictable. She was often shown going all out in fights, sometimes even laughing manically. Nevertheless, Rebecca is loyal and does everything for the crew of Maine, including supporting David where she can. Rebecca has feelings for David Martinez, as she mentions that she wasn't okay "playing just friends", and sarcastically comments to Kiwi that perhaps she should change her appearance and attitude to seem more like David's girlfriend Lucy.[4]
Despite her apparent immaturity, she was rather perceptive, being the first to notice when David is beginning to suffer from cyberpsychosis. She also handles her romantic interest in David maturely, never violating his boundaries beyond flirting. Though jealous, she eventually gives up and helps him reunite with Lucy, noting the strength of their bond. She becomes the secondary muscle of the group following Maine and Dorio's passing, demonstrating her extreme skills with firearms and ability to survive in combat despite having relatively little cyberware. She is one of the earliest members of Maine's crew which explains her high level of experience.
Rebecca is next seen just before she, David and Falco embark to intercept an Arasaka convoy under Faraday's orders. By now, David has already begun his steep descent into psychosis and Rebecca catches him, nearly collapsed, in the lounge of their hideout. He implores her to help him stay sane by injecting him with the 9x dosage suppressants he got from Doc. She begrudgingly accepts, on the terms that he doesn't use his Sandevistan, which he violates. She is seen throughout the mission manually injecting him with meds, as she promised, despite becoming increasingly worried for his safety. After Faraday and Kiwi's treachery is uncovered, she and Falco agree to help David rescue Lucy by assaulting Arasaka Tower, though they eventually end up landing the Chevillon Emperor in Corpo Plaza instead and being surrounded by Arasaka troops and NCPD.
When David manages to rescue Lucy, Rebecca tells her she's glad that she's safe for David's sake. Moments later, she notices Adam Smasher falling toward them and shoots up at him, only to be crushed under his weight, her last words being "We are having a moment here! Fuck you!" Lucy wrote "I regret not finishing our conversation" on Rebecca's niche in Night City's Columbarium.
Notes: In 2077, Rebecca's custom Carnage shotgun Guts still lies where it was dropped in her final fight.

- #48Lucy Kushinada
Keys: Lucyna Kushinada, Lucy
Lucyna Kushinada, more commonly known as just Lucy, is the netrunner of Maine's crew. Lucy is a mysterious netrunner from Night City. She is quite introverted and doesn't like to talk much about her past. Although she seems unconcerned, she won't hesitate to kill a person in a heartbeat if they tick her off. Lucy also considers Night City a prison, and dreams of one day leaving it for the Moon.
Lucy is a young woman with naturally white hair and red-purple eyes. She wears light red eye and lip makeup. Her hair is cut in a split bob - with her left side left longer - and dyed with a colorful pastel rainbow gradient. Her eyes appear to reflect with the colors of her hair. Her style generally follows Kitsch mixed with Neomilitarism as Lucy wears a cropped white jacket with a black netrunner unitard with red accents over a pair of white shorts and high gray stockings, and black knee-high boots. We often see her nude as she is either deep diving in an ice bath or at her shared home with David later in the show, where both of them are always naked. Her body is marked by multiple panel lines, implying she has various types of cyberware installed but it's unclear what kind.
In 2075, Lucy met Kiwi, who mentored her and introduced her to Maine and his edgerunner crew. She later became the secondary netrunner of the crew.[9]
In 2076, while stealing shards from corpos on their way to Corpo Plaza by NCART, she attempted to steal shards held by a teenager named David Martinez. He, having noticed her presence beforehand, utilized his Sandevistan implant, and was able to intercept her actions and grasped her by her arm. Lucy shrugged off David's arm, and grasped his with the motion to follow her. Lucy proceeded to interrogate David, as he was messing with her "job". After a short discussion, the two came to an agreement to work together, resulting in Lucy taking on David as her trainee and them splitting their earnings seventy-to-thirty. Lucy challenged David to steal from a variety of people on the train to test his skills. After they had enough, they went to a plaza to talk about their split, but David collapsed from not taking immunosupressants for the new implant. Lucy then called for an ambulance. She saves David's life from the corrupt EMT on the ambulance and finally brought him to Doc, as David was about to collapse again. She paid for David's immunosupressants, but also secretly informed Maine about the Sandevistan, which he originally wanted from Gloria. Lucy then invited David home to her apartment and even included him in a romantic moonwalk Braindance. The braindance is interrupted when Maine, Dorio and Pilar arrive at the apartment. Maine threatens to physically reclaim the Sandevistan from David, which prompts Lucy to remind him that she requested there be "no murder."
After David successfully negotiates a job with Maine, Lucy accompanies him on his first mission. Their task is to obtain information from a company car driven by an Arasaka solo named Maxim Kuznetsov. The plan backfires, which ends up with Lucy and David trapped inside the car as their security jammer fails and the doors lock. Maxim discovers them and begins shooting at the windows, forcing David to hijack the car. She and David go on a vehicle chase, escaping two Tyger Claw bounty hunters, who are ultimately defeated by her, David and Maine working together. At the after party, Pilar is seen putting his arm around her, and they disappear together, which David notices.
She helps train David to be in the crew by taking him on night time jogs. At one point, she notices him gawking at her while she's nude, having just come up from a dive. Pilar attempts to cop a feel while putting a towel around her, and she quickhacks his arm and shorts it out. She mentions later, when it's brought up by a jealous David, that Pilar is just a mentor who sometimes gets "handsy" and they share no romance.
When Pilar is suddenly killed by a cyberpsycho, the entire crew bands together to fight it. Lucy almost gets targeted, but is saved by David. However, she suffers a minor cut to her forehead, for which she is dropped off at Doc's, with David, by Dorio. Dorio leaves them alone, loaning them Maine's car. Maine and Dorio seem to notice chemistry between the two. While dropping Lucy off at her apartment, David asks to speak to her. During their conversation, Lucy admits that the braindance they shared was a genuine moment, and not part of the setup. David tries to get closer to her emotionally, which Lucy resists, at first, but gives in when he promises to take her to the moon. She kisses him and tells him she's afraid he'll die, to which he promises he won't. Going forward, David and Lucy are in a relationship and possibly living together in her apartment.
While attempting to ambush Jimmy Kurosaki, the target activates an EMP and manages to kidnap David, which angers Lucy greatly. She and Dorio locate David and she manages to hack two bulletproof combat drones while David distracts them with his Sandevistan.
After the crew kidnaps Tanaka and Kiwi is incapacitated due to one of Maine's cyberpsychotic episodes, Lucy is forced to dive into Tanaka's memories in her place. Originally, she refuses, as Tanaka is an Arasaka asset and she fears Arasaka, but she eventually concedes when David validates her. She easily breaks the Arasaka ICE to discover the data Faraday hired them to retrieve. However, she corrupts the data and attempts to kill Tanaka from the inside, which accidentally summons Trauma Team, NCPD and eventually MaxTac to their location. Only David and Lucy make it out of this scenario alive and she maintains the lie that there was no data, though David notices she is acting strange.
An unknown amount of time passes and David and Lucy are living together in a new high-rise apartment. She has been absent from crew missions, instead using her time to kill any netrunners trying to recover the data she corrupted. However, she does not tell the crew this, including David, which is causing strain on their relationship. Though, she still calls Kiwi to check up on him. One day, she takes David out to a spot in the Badlands and, beneath the stars, tells him of her past and why her philosophy is to keep running and the harm of being forced to live other people's dreams. But she admits that has changed now, because of him.
Arasaka and, by extension, Faraday have noticed Lucy's activities, though only Faraday and Kiwi are aware that it's her doing. They conspire to capture her for a deal with Arasaka.
David and Lucy's relationship is further strained when David begins to suffer from cyberpsychosis, which results in him killing an innocent woman that reminds him of his mother. He begins to have frequent insomnia and collapses one night while staring at his mother's ashes and photo. Lucy takes him to Doc, where she is shocked when David assaults him over the suggestion that he downgrade his cyberware. After they leave, she confronts him about it. Both of them express frustration: David at Lucy's secrecy and Lucy at David's deadly chrome obsession. David suggests they break up, which she pleads against, before running off to kill another netrunner. Unfortunately, this is a trap, and she is captured by Kiwi and Faraday.
Kiwi manages to uncover the data Lucy corrupted from her memory, as well as details from her past. Faraday and Kiwi conclude that she had corrupted the data and killed countless netrunners to protect David from becoming a test subject for Arasaka's cyberskeleton. Faraday then uses her voice to call David, telling him to install the cyberskeleton. Lucy temporarily escapes, revealing Faraday's plan to David and telling him not to use the prototype, but is quickly re-captured. She is not seen again until Faraday arrives at Arasaka Tower to deliver her to Douglas for his reward. David intervenes and attempts to escape with her by jumping out of the tower, but lapses into cyberpsychosis. Lucy snaps him out of it by kissing him. While falling, they tell each other of their desires to protect one another, before safely landing in Corpo Plaza where Falco and Rebecca are standing off against NCPD and Arasaka soldiers.
When Adam Smasher crashes down into the plaza and causes it to collapse, she is taken down with it. As Smasher begins to physically beat David, she attempts to quickhack him only to be countered by his security systems. Falco grabs her and, along with David's jacket and 2.5 million eddies in reward money given to them by Faraday, manages to escape in the Chevillon. Lucy begs him to turn back, but Falco tells her David's final wish was to help her escape.
Some amount of time later, Lucy is seen on a tour to the moon, looking extremely dejected. While visiting the locations from their shared braindance, she has a vision of David, which brings her joy, then sadness as he fades away. Her currently known story ends with her turning toward the sun, raising her arms and embracing its warmth with a sad smile.
- #49Pilar
Keys: Pilar,
Pilar was techie of Maine's crew, working alongside his sister Rebecca. Pillar was a tall male with black hair styled as a mohawk. He has golden robotic hands, and some sort of cybernetic goggles connected to a piece of cyberware that goes down beside his ears all the way to his chin, making him look like as if he has a beard. He is seen wearing a black sleeveless vest with a pair of jeans. Pilar was an edgerunner of Night City, and was described as a comical and crude techie. He and his sister Rebecca often team up with Maine and his crew to conduct mercenary jobs.
Pilar met his demise after jesting and taunting a cyberpsycho, who shot him in the head with their Projectile Launch System from close range, destroying most of Pilar's skull. Lucy wrote "You were the only family I ever had" on Pilar, Dorio and Maine's shared niche in Night City's Columbarium.
Pilar arrives on the scene alongside Maine, as they capture and interrogate David for installing the Sandevistan. He immediately comes across as being crude and abrasive, but he still shows a solid understanding of everything cyberware and tech related.
In fact, Pilar is a techie, those known for their knack of fixing and tinkering. It is a more physical art than the hacking a netrunner, but requires a great deal of skill all the same. Other than showing a fair amount of knowledge, Pilar's actual techie skills are rarely shown before his demise, as most of his time is spent showing off his new chromed hands.
- #50Maine
Keys: Maine
Maine is a Militech veteran who's the leader of his own crew of mercenaries. Maine used to be a military soldier before he became a mercenary. Now a veteran edgerunner in Night City, Maine dreams of "making it big", although he values his friendships with his crew more than his glory.
Always seeking to better himself with cyberware, Maine would make a deal with Gloria Martinez, an Emergency Medical Technician who dealt in black market implants. Before Maine's deal could be completed, Gloria would be the victim of gang violence. Maine would later get word from Lucy that his Sandevistan had been spotted on another person. Lucy would set a trap for David Martinez on Maine's behalf.
Maine brought two members of his crew with him: his girlfriend Dorio, and another member named Pilar. Maine confronted David in Lucy's apartment, where the trap had been set, angrily messaging him during David's braindance with Lucy. Maine assaulted David and used his superior physique to suspend him by one leg. Maine, still working under the belief that David had stolen the Sandevistan on purpose, discussed plans to end David's life with Pilar.
David would clear up the misunderstanding, and Maine would offer his condolences. Maine would still be agitated about his loss of access to the Sandevistan, so David would offer to work to pay off his debt. Maine and Pilar initially rejected the idea, until Lucy vouched for David's abilities. Still unconvinced, David would demonstrate by moving Pilar's cigarette around the room at high speeds. David asked Maine to take him on a job so he could prove himself.
Maine agreed to the deal. David was introduced to another member of Maine's crew, Kiwi. Maine involved David in a job to steal data from Arasaka bodyguard Maxim Kuznetsov. The job did not go to plan, with a change in Maxim's schedule causing him to catch on to the plan. David was forced to flee with Lucy's car and deal with pursuing Tyger Claws, calling on his Sandevistan several times to deal with the situation. David would drive to Aldo's shop, only to have one of the pursuing Tyger Claws attack David and Lucy. Maine arrived by car and intervene just in time to save David from being killed by a Mantis Blade, executing the gang member with his hand cannon. With the threat removed and the car data now secure, the job was now complete.
David was invited to a celebration held by Maine's crew. Maine was impressed with David's abilities, and despite the apparent debt, offered David medication and a cut of the payment from the job. Maine then recommended David pursue additional cyberware upgrades. A bond was formed, putting David on Maine's crew, and a life path as an Edgerunner. David also met the final member of Maine's crew, Rebecca, at this celebration. Maine was confronted by the fixer for the job, Faraday, who would be unsatisfied by the way the job had turned out. Maine would promise to satisfy all of Faraday's future demands
David pestered Maine for additional work and training, with Maine calling upon other members of the crew to keep him busy. Maine provided David with his first gun. At the same meeting place, Maine would also encourage David to pursue a romantic relationship with Lucy.
Maine would enter a conflict with a cyberpsycho who suddenly murdered Pilar, saving David from a hand cannon when he froze up, as well as Rebecca from another hand cannon shot when she became reckless during the conflict. Maine would direct Kiwi to knock out Rebecca to save her from making more reckless decisions. Maine would experience a malfunction in his arm cannon during the conflict. David would fire a shot into the cyberpsycho's head at point black range. David assumed the cyberpycho's death and asked for Lucy's safety. However the cyberpsycho would surprisingly somehow not be dead after this. Maine would decapitate the cyberpsycho with a melee strike from his Gorilla Arms, saving David again after he had dropped his guard. Maine remained to speak with the NCPD about the incident while trusting his girlfriend Dorio to take care of his crew.
After the incident, Maine would offer Pilar's cyberware hands to David, which David would refuse, saying they were not suited to him. David would gesture at Maine's hands and Maine then offered to allow David to inherit his own cyberware hand on the day that he flatlined.
After insights about braindances from David, Maine's crew cooked up a scheme to abduct Jimmy Kurosaki. However, things didn't go according to plan, with David, Maine, and Kiwi all being neutralized by Kurosaki's EMP. Kurosaki would turn the tables on them by abducting David, forcing Dorio to temporarily take over leading the crew.
Dorio was successful in recovering David and completing the abduction of Kurosaki. Their plan to lure Tanaka to them with Kurosaki's help went ahead. Despite being outnumbered, Tanaka attacked Maine's crew, during which Maine experienced another malfunction in his cyberware. Maine successfully knocks out Tanaka in order to abduct him, however, Tanaka's needle projectiles killed Kurosaki, forcing Maine's crew to flee as Trauma Team was incoming.
Falco joined up with Maine's crew during this time.
After Tanaka's abduction, Maine began to experience medical issues due to his over-reliance on cyberware. Dorio implored Maine to downgrade in order to improve his condition, but the cyberware-addicted Maine was in denial and refused to consider it. Maine's personality degraded, and he would experience his first mini episode of cyberspychosis, during which he attacked Kiwi, removing her cyberware jaw before becoming lucid again.
Dorio summoned Lucy and David to discuss Maine's deteriorating condition and his risk of cyberpsychosis. David would speak with Maine privately. Maine was uncharacteristically abusive.
After being injected with several drugs, Maine would become lucid again. Dorio and Maine would return to David and Lucy's side, just in time to witness Tanaka flatlining. The jammer for Maine's crew was also fried at the same time, forcing Maine's crew to react to the incoming Trauma Team. David fled with Lucy's unconscious body to a downstairs car, while Maine would take Tanaka's resurrected body for use as a meat shield during the incoming confrontation. Dorio would remain at Maine's side.
Maine and Dorio stood back to back and confront a combination of the NCPD and Trauma Team. However as the fighting continued, Maine broke down into full cyberpsychosis, losing full touch with reality, and began shooting at Dorio, unable to distinguish friend from foe. Dorio briefly brought Maine back to lucidity with a dose of immunosuppressants, just in time to see her be killed by being shot through the back of the head by a panicking NCPD officer.
Maine's brief period of lucidity allowed him to understand he was at fault, but having lost his partner and realized his error, he willingly succumbed to cyberpsychosis and proceeded to kill more members of the NCPD and Trauma Team. David would return to Maine's side after securing Lucy, but he would send David away despite his protests. Maine constructed a pyre of sorts for Dorio out of explosive canisters, and was finally killed along with several Maxtac officers after he detonated the canisters. Acting on Maine's final request, David used the Sandevistan to escape the blast .
David returned to Lucy's car with one of Maine's arms, which offered him something to bury, as well as the opportunity to inherit Maine's cyberware hand.
Despite Maine's descent into cyberpyschosis, he would be the inspiration behind how David would live out the rest of his life, trying to embody both Maine's cyberware physique as well as all his values.
