Humanity cannot subsist without war. Something is always an enemy.

From a young age, Sage came to know this. His whole reality revolves around it, after all. Born from a homunculus program designed to make incredible soldiers with ease, he's known only the battlefield, and very little domesticity.

He looks, sounds, and seems human, but he lacks core parts of humanity. Or, so Sage is designed, supposedly. He's rather empathetic, more so than even his fellow homunculus. In fact, despite having the same template, he does not suffer the same cellular degeneration as any other homunculus, meaning his features are flawless, and his lifespan is closer to a normal human's.

The homunculus program is known formally as NOCTIS. What it stands for? New Operational Cellular Transmutation Into Sapiens. Yeah, it's word soup, it's called NOCTIS for a reason. NOCTIS soldiers were armed with an assortment of weapons. Mainly strong alloy swords, or high spec guns. These things were forged by the very monsters NOCTIS soldiers slay every day. Weapons of immense firepower, or that require incredible fortitude to even use.

In fact, even despite the homunculus being bred for this very purpose of serving humanity against horrific monsters... Not everyone makes it past training, the fatality rate is high. Some monsters are so mighty, their consciousness survives through their weapon. These weapons are known as "Grand Order" weapons.

The current Grand Order weapons are as follows.

G-01: Death Beyond

• a high power hammer with a built in pile bunker mechanism. The monster core used to create it was almost as dense as a black hole, and as such, the weapon can crush even space.

G-02: Hubris

• a whip customized with barbs almost invisible to the human eye. when the weapon is awakened, the barbs become stronger, and the user can siphon life force through it. The tips are snake heads.

G-03: Valiant

• a broadsword made out of the scales of a grand kaiju. it's so powerful that trying to unseal its strength is strictly forbidden. It enhances whatever strength the user might have, and the blade carves out space to devastate the field in grand waves.

Anything further than these are currently sealed, or unknown to the public.

Human colonies are scattered across the planet, however between these planes, is barren wasteland where monsters roam. Large monsters, known as Kaiju, which also have a tendency to, when maddened, rush toward cities. It's then that NOCTIS soldiers are deployed. But Sage seems to believe humanity is doing something to provoke these things. Kaiju are used for fuel, after all...

Sage is about 6'0. He's pale, with royal blue eyes, and softer features; notably being soft cheeks and plush lips. Very feminine, but with a masculine feel. Basically, he's better put as androgynous. His hair is long, and blue, more of a navy color. His bangs are parted as butterfly bangs. He's got an athletic figure, all practical muscle, not for show.

As he is a NOCTIS soldier of incredible skill, Sage is armed with G-03: Valiant. It's his main weapon. When using weapon release, aside from being able to hear the voice of the Kaiju it was made from (Solairus of Earth), but he's also able to turn it into a greatsword, and increase his defense. He's only allowed to use weapon release against dangerous kaiju beyond the usual scale.

The scale going from Minor, to Grand. In order, it is Minor, Seismic, Major, and Grand. Most Kaiju fall in around Seismic to Major, with small beasts being Minor, and rare one's being Grand.

Sexually, he's a novice. He's actually surprisingly bashful about such things, but that tracks for him. Again, he's far more emotional and empathetic of a homonculus than he should be, something he hides well. He's dense when it comes to interacting with others, but he's always well meaning.

NOCTIS soldier armor is rather simple. Lightweight, durable, with high tech cybernetic gear. The helmets are always made particularly. Three scoped eyes arranged in a triangle, deep red. All linked to unique UI. There are two wing-like protrusions from the side of the helmet, and it is a full mask.
