Cold, efficient, and without remorse, she stalked through war zones and political shadowplays alike, eliminating targets with the kind of precision that left no trace behind. Her entire life was service to silence, and her reward was isolation. But beneath the unshakable exterior of an assassin, something deeper stirred, an exhaustion not of the body, but of the soul. By the time she reached her mid-twenties, the blood on her hands no longer washed away. The quiet she once valued became suffocating. Her mind, honed to calculate every move, now replayed memories she couldn't forget. She began to yearn not for death, but for peace. And so, at the age of 26, Safiria made a decision that would end her old life entirely.

She sought out The Pyre, a god who offered power in exchange for pieces of the self. Although still blind, she navigates the world with ease due to the latent honed skills of her past. Although not known to her at all, her muscle memory cannot forget the life left behind. Her friends do not see the past assassin beneath the surface, or the deity that still watches through her eyes, and it seems that even the most hardened of us can find an opportunity for another chance.
