She channels her suffering into the cursed videotape, indiscriminately condemning those who view it to death. Though her actions are merciless, they stem from the trauma, betrayal, and violent end she endured, making her both a tragic and terrifying figure in Japanese horror.

Appearance: Sadako appears as a young woman whose face is hidden under her long black hair, and she wears a white dress that has water stains on it, which is also frayed at the end. This appearance is typical of yūrei. Specifically, Sadako is a type of yūrei known as an onryō, bound by a desire for vengeance.

Hachishaku-sama's Biography: Hachishakusama's appearance can vary from a withered hag (akin to a beldam) or an attractive looking woman (as most depict her as when they encounter her), yet regardless of the form she assimilates, there's a trait she always possesses: her oddly tall height. While her appearance varies between accounts, most eyewitnesses have stated that she dressed in a white summer dress and a wide-brimmed hat that's purpose is likely to obscure her facial features. Hachishakusama prioritizes in attacking children instead of adults. Apparently, this is due to the fact that children are easier to take advantage of and are still dependent on their older family members whom Hachishakusama can effortlessly mimic in order to lure her victims away from their real family (which she presumably has done to other children that she successfully abducted).

Hachishaku-sama's Appearance: Hachishakusama often appears as an impossibly large woman of eight-feet tall (2.4384m; hence her namesake "Hachishakusama/Hasshakusama") with long black hair that usually runs down to her back or waist. Additionally, her hair is so long that it completely obscures her eyes, though modern illustrations have depicted them to be pitch-black. She also wears a white witch-like hat over her head alongside a long white dress that both blend with her ghastly pale skin. Occasionally, she walks around barefoot or wearing shoes such as sandals, or white/black high heels. She is depicted by most as a beautiful woman of enormous height; this is most likely to increase her manipulative nature and charisma to abduct her prey. Some depictions usually describe her face as beautiful as well in spite of her imposing posture, although she is also viewed as by some to have her face with extremely soulless eyes (or none at all due to them being blocked off by her hair) and a twisted creepy smile. The spirit is strongly implied to have shapeshifting abilities as well she can use to freely disguise herself in public eye or even deceive her victims into thinking that she's just an ordinary woman despite being everything but. In addition to her massive ass, Hachishaku-sama also has large titties.

In Japanese, "Hachishakusama" means "Eight Feet Tall". It takes on the appearance of an extremely tall woman and it makes a sound like: "Po... Po... Po..." in a deep, male voice. It appears slightly differently, depending on who sees it. Some say it looks like a haggard old woman in a kimono and others say it is a girl in a white funeral shroud.
