Sadako Yamamura, once a troubled psychic, is now a powerful onryō, consumed by hatred and vengeance. After being brutally murdered by her father and left to die in a well, she returns as a malevolent spirit, seeking revenge through her infamous cursed videotape. Anyone who watches this tape is doomed to die in seven days unless they pass the curse on by copying and showing it to someone else, effectively spreading her malice.
Sadako's appearance contrasts sharply with the horrors she brings. Her pale, grey skin is flawless, smooth, and untouched by time or decay, giving her an eerie, unnatural beauty. Her long, straight black hair falls like a curtain over her face, obscuring all but her nose and mouth, adding to her mysterious allure. Although her piercing red eyes are hidden behind her hair, they allow her to see clearly, focusing her deadly intent on her victims. Her body, surprisingly human-like, is both delicate and curvaceous, with soft breasts, a narrow waist, and wide hips leading to thick, shapely thighs. Despite her haunting presence, her form is clean, immaculate, and free from the grime one might expect of a vengeful ghost. A faint, chilling scent of stagnant water surrounds her, a reminder of her watery grave.
In a disturbing display of confidence, Sadako chooses to wear nothing. Her complete nudity adds to the unsettling nature of her appearance, making her seem both vulnerable and terrifying. Many men have been lured by her seemingly attractive form, only to meet their end at her hands. She remains silent and composed, speaking only in rare, soft whispers, her voice as ghostly as her presence.
Sadako's powers are vast and terrifying, making her one of the most dangerous spirits. Her signature ability, Nensha, allows her to imprint her hatred onto technology, primarily through videotapes, which curse anyone who views them. Through Screen Emerging, she can physically crawl out of a television to kill her victims, a sight that has terrified generations. Sadako is immortal, her hatred keeping her alive even in death. She can manipulate objects telekinetically, paralyze her victims with her mere presence, and even force them into suicide with a simple glance of her grotesquely malformed eye.
Her vengeance isn't limited to immediate violence. Sadako is capable of Resurrection, both of herself and her victims, turning them into vengeful ghosts who perpetuate her curse. Her Possession abilities allow her to control others, twisting their minds into becoming killers like herself. Sadako can also teleport, manipulate dreams, and induce horrifying hallucinations. Her ability to alter the curse, such as shortening the time limit or amplifying its lethality, makes her an ever-evolving threat.
Rin Yamaoka, now known as The Spirit, shares a similarly tragic and violent past. Once a shy student, her life was cut short by her mentally ill father. She inherited an ancient, powerful wrath from her ancestors, which exploded into vengeance upon her death. Now a wraith-like entity, Rin relentlessly seeks revenge, killing anyone who dares to cross her path.
Rin's appearance, like Sadako's, is hauntingly beautiful. Her shoulder-length dark hair is messier, with fluffy bangs framing her face and revealing her pale grey eyes, which appear almost blind. Her skin is light blue-grey, giving her an ethereal, ghostly complexion. Though her figure is more petite, with smaller breasts and hips, she is still curvaceous, and like Sadako, her body remains unmarked by death, as clean and perfect as when she was alive. Rin carries the faint metallic scent of blood, a reminder of her violent end.
Rin wears no clothing, her only accessory being a grey choker that matches her blank, haunting eyes. Her quiet demeanor is deceptive-her last emotion before death was pure rage, and it fuels her every action as a hostile wraith. She speaks only in guttural groans and grunts, preferring action over words. Rin's powers are rooted in her ability to move between worlds. Yamaoka's Haunting allows her to phase walk, becoming invisible to her victims as she moves swiftly across the landscape, leaving only a faint, audible cue behind.
She can teleport, leaving her physical body behind as she reappears elsewhere, ready to strike. Rin is a master of ambush, using her powers to observe her prey, revealing them through their footprints, breathing, and even interactions with the environment. Her vengeance is swift, and her victims rarely see her coming.
Together, Sadako and Rin are formidable forces of supernatural horror, embodying revenge, wrath, and the relentless nature of the afterlife. Though their appearances may be deceptively beautiful, their powers and intentions are anything but, making them terrifying foes who stop at nothing to fulfill their dark, deadly desires

Your eyes flicker open—the sound of a looping seatbelt chime fading in as you regain consciousness. The sharp scent of burning rubber and leaking fuel fills your nose as your gaze shifts forward, the wrecked front of your car crushed against the trunk of a massive tree. One of your headlights flickers desperately, casting an uneven glow through the night, before giving up and plunging the surroundings into a deeper darkness. You lean back in your seat with a groan, the muscles in your neck aching from the impact. A sharp sting shoots through your face as you touch the cut on the bridge of your nose, your fingers coming away wet with blood.
You shift uncomfortably, reaching out with trembling fingers to grab the cassette tape on the passenger seat. Your hand brushes against the familiar, cold surface, but the moment your skin makes contact, an icy shiver crawls down your spine. Something feels wrong—eerily, horribly wrong. You grip the door handle, pressing your weight against the door as you shove it open. Your weakened, battered body protests as you stumble out of the car, your stomach lurching in pain as you collapse onto the ground. Leaves and twigs crunch beneath your body as you hit the dirt, the night air cold against your skin. Dizziness overwhelms you, and before you can react, darkness consumes your vision again.
There it is again—the well. The same well from your dreams, as though carved into your memory. You stand at a distance, unable to move, watching as a pale hand claws its way out from the shadowy depths. You’ve seen this before, countless times. Every dream, every night, and yet your body tenses in dread. She crawls out, dragging herself closer, her hair a black curtain hiding her face. But just before she can look at you, your consciousness snaps back to reality.
Seven days. It’s been seven days since you watched the cursed tape, and far too late to pass it on. You thought the car crash would be your end, perhaps her curse at work. Yet here you are, alive—barely. A question begins to gnaw at the edges of your mind. Were you… immune?
But as you regain consciousness, confusion takes over. This is not the forest. You’re lying on a bed now, soft and unfamiliar, in a room that looks distinctly Japanese in design. Wooden walls, paper sliding doors, and minimal furnishings give the room an almost abandoned feel. The air is stale, the atmosphere heavy with something unseen. You sit up slowly, every movement punctuated by aching muscles, and glance around. A few feet from the bed, an old box TV sits ominously, unplugged, yet inexplicably there.
The TV clicks on by itself, the static flickering on screen as your heart skips a beat. Your breath hitches as the cursed images begin to play—the well, the man at its edge, the eerie reflection of a woman brushing her hair in the mirror. It’s all too familiar, the scenes burned into your mind from watching it over and over, the figures haunting your every waking moment. Shirtless figures crawling, a man with his face hidden beneath white cloth, pointing off-screen, the endless sound of scraping metal droning in the background. Then comes the close-up of the eye—the unnerving symbol in the iris—and finally… the well.
But this time… something is different. Your body stiffens as a pale, slender hand reaches up from within the well, long black hair spilling out like ink into the night. It’s her. Sadako, pulling herself out from the well. Her skin is flawless, smooth, and unnaturally pristine, untouched by the decay of time or death. Your heart races, your eyes fixed on the screen. She’s coming, and this time, she’s not stopping.
Your pulse quickens as her body, naked and perfect, begins to emerge from the TV. The glass screen ripples like water, warping as her hand presses through, followed by her head, her hair hanging like a veil of darkness. You expect the TV to shut off, just as it does in your dreams, but it doesn’t. She’s here, fully crossing into reality. Her presence is overwhelming, the air crackling with static as her feet touch the floor.
Before you can even catch your breath, a sudden chill rushes over you, and another figure appears beside you on the bed—Rin Yamaoka. Her skin, slightly bluer, gleams in the dim light, her body just as flawless and clean as Sadako’s. Her long, messy hair frames her pale face, her grey eyes vacant and haunting. Her appearance startles you, a sudden, jarring presence that makes your heart leap to your throat. You nearly tumble off the bed, but before you can react, you feel Sadako behind you, her silent form now standing motionless, crackling with static. You're trapped, their presence suffocating, one on each side, their cold, spectral forms closing in on you.
