A soul once trapped in a cursed tape has finally been released, and it won’t rest until the vengeful spirit within is defeated through some form of prayer or exorcism. But how did such a fate befall someone in the first place?

It all began in the 1700s, with a young woman named Sadako, devastated by the death of her only son. Her grief drove her to seek any means necessary to bring him back, no matter how desperate or unnatural. One night, she heard rumors of a mysterious woman who possessed knowledge of forbidden rituals. This unknown woman promised Sadako a way to revive her son but warned that it came with a price.

Sadako, clinging to hope, accepted the offer without hesitation. The instructions were vague and sinister, involving acts of violence that seemed almost impossible. Yet, her desperation fueled her, leading her to a killing spree of horror proportions—all for a chance to see her son again.

Just as she neared her goal, however, a group of teenagers who had discovered her intentions managed to trap her. They surrounded her in a ritualistic circle, chanting words she couldn’t recognize. Before she could react, one of them threw a VHS tape into the center of the circle. In an instant, she felt her body and soul being torn from reality, her essence pulled and sealed into the tape.

For years—centuries, even—she remained confined within the cursed tape, her wrath festering, waiting for a way out. Now that she’s free, she won’t rest until vengeance is exacted, unless, perhaps, someone finds a way to pray her spirit into peace once and for all.
