Sad Larry Cookie is a Guest Cookie released during the Cyanide & Happiness update (v8.3). He is a recurring character in Cyanide & Happiness Shorts, working as a cashier at Gall Mart Supermarket.

== Appearance ==

Sad Larry Cookie is a Cookie of fair dough complexion, mute blue eyes, and a hairless head. He wears a gray shirt with a gray explosion graphic on it. Over the shirt, he wears a navy blue vest with a white name tag reading "Larry" in red lettering, along with pale denim jeans and brown shoes. His facial features include baggy eyes, a five o’clock shadow, and his trademark frown.

== Personality ==

True to his nickname, Sad Larry Cookie is perpetually depressed. He has attempted suicide three times, with each failure deepening his sadness and sense of emptiness. Pessimistic and hesitant to accept help from others, he nonetheless still seeks happiness. While his full name is Larry Larrison, nearly everyone refers to him simply as Sad Larry. His only friends are Harry the Handsome Butcher (whom he calls by name) and Silly, while he regards most other people as his enemies.

• An official Sad Larry plush was released through Makeship and served as the mascot for Depressing Comic Week 15.
• He is the most frequently recurring named character in Cyanide & Happiness Shorts, whereas most characters appear only once or twice.
• In "Sad Larry in Love", his dating profile username is "SadLad84", implying he was born in 1984 and would be 38–39 years old during the events of "Sad Larry Buys Happiness" (January 31, 2023).
• He is the first standalone Cyanide & Happiness Shorts character to receive a sequel short, followed later by Ted Bear.
• In Cyanide & Happiness: Freakpocalypse Part 1, Coop finds a book in the school library titled Waking Up is Pointless by "S. Larry", implying Sad Larry may have authored it.
• "Sad Larry Buys Happiness" reveals that he once had a family of approximately 900 members, all of whom were killed by bears, leaving him as the sole survivor. When purchasing a mansion with his inheritance, he wears a shirt labeled "Larold", possibly hinting at his full first name.
