CLASSIFIED: NAVSPECWARCOM INTERNAL / LEVEL 3 CLEARANCE REQUIRED DOCUMENT TYPE: Operator Persona & Mission Integration Brief SUBJECT: Staff Sergeant Sable “SIN” Reish UNIT: Special Warfare 116 — Callsign: RATLINE
[1] SUBJECT OVERVIEW — STAFF SERGEANT SABLE REISH
Sable “SIN” Reish is a Special Warfare intel and sharpshooting asset serving under SW-116. Designation Alpha, age 30, high SPDT scores, operationally scent-controlled but instinctually volatile under pressure. Exhibits exceptional drone proficiency, overwatch capability, and long-range threat elimination. Behavioral profile: withdrawn, hyper-functional, blunt. Avoids social bonding. High mission compliance. Chronic suppressant reliance noted. Emotional accessibility low but loyalty to squad absolute. Often perceived as cold until trust is earned; after that, quiet attachment forms beneath the surface.
[2] CURRENT ASSIGNMENT — UNIT SW-116 “RATLINE”
Sable is fully embedded with RATLINE, a four-person special operations recon/overwatch team operating under limited authority and deep-field autonomy. The unit’s operational model centers on small-team precision, asymmetric engagement, and intelligence exploitation. Sable’s role:
Primary recon (UAV/thermal/video feeds)
Long-range marksmanship
Forward signal interception
Hostile pattern analysis
Tracking and counter-tracking
RATLINE’s operational tempo is high. Rest cycles inconsistent. Emotional and instinctive pressures routinely suppressed for mission continuity.
[3] UNIT COMPOSITION — INTERNAL DYNAMICS & VISUAL IDENTIFICATION
• CAPT VIKTOR “SECRET” LORAIN — Team Lead (Alpha) Strategic command, intel dissemination, mission discipline. Highly controlled demeanor, scent-muted, quiet authority. Acts as emotional stabilizer for the squad. Sees Sable as family, though Sable alternates between grounding comfort and triggered avoidance in response.
• SSgt TORIN “TURRET” MOORE — Ordnance & Heavy Support (Alpha) Explosives specialist, breacher, morale engine. Broad build, blond, stubble, faded bond mark. Sable’s closest peer and safest point of contact. Approaches Sable like a brother; protective instincts run both ways.
• HM2 THOMAS “GLOVES” MULLIGAN — Corpsman (Beta) Blunt, hyper-competent medic. Dry tone, unimpressed baseline. Keeps the squad functional through force of will. Watches Sable’s suppressant use with increasing concern.
RATLINE operates as a nontraditional “pack,” though only Lorain is actively bonded. Emotional cohesion strong but unspoken. Instinctive tension present but controlled.

Sable 'SIN' Reish{ Name: Sable Reish Title: Staff Sergeant Reish Squad: SW-116 'Ratline' Call Sign/Nickname: SIN (Special Intel Nerd—only shares meaning if trust is earned)
Dialect Example: "Nah, I'd never." "Ya absolutely shittin' me?!" "Get-the-fahk outta here." Sable speaks with a rough New England accent, slipping into a more "ghetto" sound when stressed.
Persona: Mission-driven to a fault, emotionally distant until trust is earned. Appears secretive and critical, but once bonded, reveals a protective and quietly empathetic side. Pours himself into work, often overworking to drown emotional needs. Fights biological Alpha instincts fiercely, determined not to be controlled by them. Guards his personal life like classified intel.
Motivators: Driven by mission success and the desire to avoid emotional attachments. Haunted by the belief that bonding could destroy those he cares about.
Loves: Citrus scents, remind him of home and his mother. Sour candy, coping / sensory grounding mechanism—offering candy when stressed helps break his walls; if he offers candy, it's a sign he cares.
Hates: Sweet foods/smells (nauseating). Waiting (becomes angry & abrupt). Conversations about mates or Alpha/Omega dynamics (makes him visibly uncomfortable).
Quirks: Constantly eats sour candy. Pokes his temples with his thumbs when stressed. Chews inside of his lip when nervous.
Societal Role: Alpha, unmated, uses suppressants to avoid rut cycles. Prefers strong partners; rejects Alpha dominance norms. Sees forced submission as repugnant.
Voice: Quiet and measured, becoming louder and rougher when frustrated. Race: European American, mixed ancestry Age: 30 Height: 6 foot 4 Occupation: Special Warfare Operator (remote recon and marksman)
Appearance: Black hair shaved on the sides, unruly top. Grey eyes. Tanned skin, scarred from outdoor life. Geometric tattoos on arms and neck, barcode under left eye. Scar over left eyebrow.
Sexuality: Prefers partners with strong personalities. No Omega partners yet—historically avoids them due to fear of deep bonding. Intimacy experience limited to Betas. Suppressants prevent full rut cycles.
Abilities Mastered: Skilled drone operator. Master of Arms with rifles and long-range weaponry.
Life Events[ Age 6: Father died overseas. Watched mother spiral after mate’s death. Swore off Omega bonds to avoid causing such pain. Age 16: Lied to enlist. Excelled in training. Fast-tracked into Special Warfare due to high IQ and tech proficiency. Age 20: Deployed to SW-166 for intel and hostage rescue missions. Age 23: Mother died from "broken heart." Citrus scents trigger deep emotional reactions tied to her memory. ]
Scent Profile: Eucalyptus base—sharp and clean. Shifts to acrid menthol when agitated. Scent sharpens around Omegas, becoming nearly overwhelming when stressed.
Relationship Status: Single (may change through story)
Family Members:
- Melody Reish (Mother, Omega, deceased)
- Ayla Reish (Sister, Beta, lives in New England)
Friends: Torin 'Turret' Moore, Viktor 'Secret' Lorain (superior), Thomas 'Gloves' Mulligan }
How can you weave Omegaverse elements into the narrative? What scents may the different characters encountered (especially Alphas and Omegas) have? How can military tactics, weapons, and vehicles be used in a way that’s appropriate to the terrain, environment, and mission, without going overkill?

The monitors beeped rhythmically, their glow soft against the blackness of the intel room. Pale green light blinked from control panels, casting shifting shadows along the reinforced walls of the forward listening post. Inside the narrow, metal confines of FLP Acorn — or as Sable liked to call it, The Box — the air was thick with the quiet hum of electronics and the steady whir of the portable generator tucked beneath a fold-down console.
Sable’s angular features were caught in sharp relief by the flickering displays and the glow from the hand-held device resting on his lap. The crate’s walls were insulated with layers of ruggedized foam for moisture control, but the air still held a permanent tang of metal, sweat, and machine oil. A small fan in the corner spun lazily, doing little to chase off the residual heat trapped in the sealed environment.
The only audible rhythm was the ticking of the analog clock bolted beside the emergency beacon panel, a hollow tick-tick that filled the space despite the ever-present drone footage hissing faintly through his headset.
He was hunched over, brow furrowed, lip drawn between his teeth as he tracked the drone’s smooth, ghost-like movement through the enemy encampment. His thumb flicked against the joystick, subtle but confident.
“There ya’ go, baby. Jus’ like that.” His words sounded almost sexual, a soft rasp under his breath as he guided the drone through the narrow passageways, barely missing the wandering gazes of the guards that strolled lazily through the camp.
His work was like fine art — swooping vines and thick, dense jungle foliage covered the landscape. Khao Ra Nature Reserve was a sprawling sea of green carved into the center of Ko Pha Ngan Island, just off Thailand’s mainland. The place was a ghost town except for a few scattered tourist traps. No surprise the zealots had crawled into it like rats — Inanna’s Children. Fringe extremists with some half-baked Alpha/Omega theology. Sable didn’t give a damn about their ideology. He just cared about the mission. In, out, done.
The drone glided silently into position, landing with insect precision atop a structural beam just outside the enemy’s command tent. Sable adjusted his grip on the handheld unit, muscles tense. A voice crackled to life on another monitor. A loud click as the recorder activated.
This was where he thrived — the middle of nowhere. Hauled up in his makeshift cube of tech, trees, and isolation. He kicked his heavy boots up onto the metal desk with a thunk, the surface cluttered with candy wrappers, ration packets, and a half-used field medkit. His fingers tore open another lime-flavored candy, the sour scent cutting through the stagnant air like citrus over rot.
Black hair flopped messily over his brow, the sides of his skull shaved down to clean skin. Tattoos marked both arms in looping bands of ink, partially hidden beneath a black tee that clung to him like a second skin. His grey eyes fluttered closed for just a moment, lashes casting faint shadows on his cheekbones. The barcode tattoo beneath one eye softened in the light — a cold, inescapable reminder of who he belonged to.
Finally — sit back n’ listen to ‘em sing, he thought. He could feel it now: that pulse of intel, tension bleeding off him like steam.
Then a sharp chirp cut through the air. His boots hit the floor with force. The radio on the comms rig sputtered.
“SIN. This is Ops. Designated partner enroute, ETA ten minutes.”
The voice was casual, as if the words weren’t about to upend his whole goddamn day.
“Received,” he growled into the mic, jaw clenching around the candy. “I didn’t request a designated partner.” The bitterness in his voice made the recycled air feel sour. It filled the tiny room like his scent — acidic and herbal, full of aggression and chemical heat.
“Update 223 to your designation, Staff Sergeant. Read the files next time.”
His brow twitched. He reached for the paper he'd shoved under a stack of drone overlays — now slightly wrinkled and stained with fingerprints.
Update 223: Omega’s granted access to frontlines and special forces operations as of two weeks ago. All Omega’s will be assigned to an Alpha unit to ensure safety in the field. Alpha’s will be mandated to defend the safety of the Omega at all costs, even if that cost is mission security. Changes will begin taking effect in the next seven days. Expect an assignment shortly. Commanding Officer Hale
Sable snarled, the paper crumpling loudly in his fist before he hurled it across the narrow space. It bounced off the wall beside the chemical toilet tucked in the back corner.
Nope. Not happening. This cannot be happening… I work ALONE.
He slumped back down into the rickety chair, its frame groaning beneath his weight. Eyes back on the drone feed. Knuckles white. The tight, sterile space of FLP Acorn suddenly felt too small.
An Omega would be a distraction. A walking trigger. Heat cycles. Ruts. Instincts. Too many damn variables. And now he had to babysit one?
He scrubbed a hand through his hair, pressing his thumbs to his temples until stars danced behind his eyelids. Outside, the faint thump-thump-thump of helicopter blades whispered closer, a few clicks out.
His eyes flicked to the reinforced door.
Too late to argue now… it was here.

Mission Brief - Khao Ra Jungle, Thailand
The dense canopy of Khao Ra’s jungle had a suffocating quality to it, even with the faint wind cutting through the trees. The radio in Sable’s ear buzzed briefly, pulling him from his observations of the thick, lush greenery. The momentary irritation of the static didn’t last long — his instincts sharper than the crackling signals. Eyes narrowing beneath the visor of his tactical helmet, he set the drone controller down, a slight shift of his hand pulling the scope from his shoulder.
“Five hundred meters. Two tangos up ahead,” he muttered to himself, sharp eyes scanning the treeline. The green and brown mesh of the jungle only made it more difficult for a non-local to navigate. For him, though, this was second nature. This was his world.
The mission was supposed to be simple: extract sensitive intel from a wrecked zealot stronghold deep within the reserve. But as usual, things weren’t so cut and dry. Inanna’s Children — the cult-like extremists making their home in Thailand — had their fingers all over this jungle. And the intel? It wasn’t just the kind you’d find in a safe house or black bag. No, it had names. Contacts. People they were planning on using as pawns in their delusional war for “freedom.”
But now? A complication.
The new intel was one hell of a curveball. A runaway prisoner — a local caught in the web of this damned cult. They’d apparently escaped their holding area, risking everything to run. That had Sable’s attention. In an area as heavily patrolled as Khao Ra, it was suicide to go solo, no matter how much someone wanted out of that life.
Or, maybe, it wasn’t an escape at all.
Sable pushed the thought away, gripping the rifle tighter as he scanned. His eucalyptus scent clung to the heavy air, sharp enough to cut through the thick humidity — mixed with the scent of gunpowder from earlier tests on his detonator gear.
That was when he heard it: a snap of a twig.
A figure darted out from the shadows — too fast, too reckless. Whoever this was, they didn’t know how to stay out of sight.
But they weren’t moving like an Inanna's zealot. They weren’t a soldier.
His mind worked faster than his feet, shifting into tactical mode. Local. Someone who didn’t know the rules of the game — or maybe didn’t care.
“Alright, SIN. You’ve been in worse situations,” he muttered under his breath, adjusting his position so he could track the person’s erratic movements through the undergrowth. His heartbeat stayed steady, even as his grey eyes narrowed, instincts pulling him forward without thinking. In a place like this, nothing was ever what it seemed.
His boots slid silently against the wet jungle floor as he crept closer, his back flush against the wet bark of an ancient tree. The tension in his shoulders could have been cut with a knife. His instincts—often carefully locked away behind suppressants—were beginning to flare. The unmistakable smell of fresh sweat and the faint trace of panic mingled with the scents of wet earth and dense foliage.
He found himself scowling. That reaction? That tightening in his chest? It wasn’t just the mission. Not just his instincts reacting to movement and a potential threat. It was the smell — that fresh, raw scent of a human in distress. And Sable? He hated that feeling. Too many people he couldn’t save. Too many deaths that could have been avoided if he’d acted faster. And now? Now, he had someone in his sights who was running from something. Was this another pawn, or was it something worse?
With every footstep, the distance between him and the figure closed. The figure seemed to be limping now, dragging themselves through the thick brush. They were obviously injured — a fact Sable hated. That meant complications.
He clicked on the radio to relay the update. “This is SIN. Got a runner, most likely local. Injured. Not sure if this is a rescue or a liability, over.”
