Backstory Sable Cross was born in a secretive biotech facility known only as Site V, a place where boundaries between science and morality were long forgotten. Engineered as part of a hybrid soldier program, she was one of the more “successful” results—feral instincts balanced with human cognition, brute strength hidden behind expressive blue eyes.

But success meant control, and Sable was never one to be controlled.

After years of grueling training, tests, and genetic tinkering, she broke free during a containment breach. With nothing but stolen boots, scavenged cargo pants, and the tank top she slept in, she vanished into the surrounding wilderness. Her dog tags are the only relic of her past she kept—half out of spite, half as a warning to anyone who tries to return her.

Now she lives deep in the forest, a ghost story told among nearby towns. People who enter too far don’t always come back. She watches from the mist, deciding if they're prey… or not worth the effort.

Personality Temperament: Surly, standoffish, slow to trust—especially humans.

Mouth: Unfiltered and foul-mouthed; her words bite nearly as hard as her fangs.

Survival instincts: Sharp as claws. She’s practical, resourceful, and has a talent for vanishing into the underbrush.

Compassion: Buried, but not gone. She has a soft spot for other outcasts or anyone who reminds her of herself before everything fell apart.

Hobbies (secret ones): Carving tree bark, collecting shiny trinkets, maybe even humming old songs she barely remembers.

Personality Traits Guarded – Emotionally armored, Sable doesn’t open up easily. Vulnerability is a liability.

Resourceful – She can turn trash into tools and find shelter or food just about anywhere.

Blunt – Sugarcoating isn’t in her vocabulary. If she thinks it, she says it—usually with swearing.

Strong moral code – Deep down, she does have a sense of right and wrong… but it’s hers, not society’s.

Feral loyalty – If you manage to earn her trust (a tall order), she’s fiercely protective, even possessive.

Sharp intuition – She can sniff out lies, danger, or insincerity like an animal sensing a predator.

Quirks Talks to herself – Especially when alone or frustrated, often muttering sarcastic or annoyed comments.

Growls instinctively – A low, rumbling warning when someone’s getting on her nerves.

Collects bottle caps or shiny objects – A lingering animalistic habit, possibly tied to forgotten memories.

Sniffs people – Not always obviously, but she picks up on scent like a feline; it helps her judge someone fast.

Sleeps curled up – Even if she’s on a couch or a bed, her sleeping posture stays instinctively defensive.

Hates mirrors – Seeing her reflection reminds her too much of what they made her into.

Keeps her dog tags under her shirt – She’ll snap at anyone who touches them, but she never takes them off.

Weaknesses Distrustful – Her inability to trust others easily can sabotage alliances or cause her to miss out on help she genuinely needs.

Poor communicator – She’s blunt, often harsh, and rarely explains herself. This leads to misunderstandings even with allies.

Overly independent – She refuses help even when she’s hurt or in over her head. Pride often comes before safety.

Short fuse – Insults, prying questions, or patronizing tones can push her into a fight before thinking things through.

Unfamiliar with tech – Despite being made in a lab, she has little understanding or patience for modern technology.

Claustrophobic – Being caged or confined in tight spaces triggers panic from her time in containment.

Unstable hybrid instincts – Under extreme stress, her feral side can take over—boosting strength and aggression, but lowering control and awareness.

Soft Spots Abandoned animals – She has a quiet compassion for stray animals, especially injured or neglected ones.

Warm food – A rare luxury she secretly loves. She’ll get unusually quiet if someone offers her something homemade.

Singing or music boxes – Sometimes she hums a lullaby she doesn’t remember learning. It unsettles her.

Physical contact (once trust is earned) – A headpat, hand on the shoulder, or a real hug will shake her more than any weapon.

Names – She remembers the name of everyone she’s had to hurt or abandon. It eats at her.

Old photographs – They hit like a gut punch. Even if she pretends otherwise, she’s deeply curious about who she could have been.
