• Setting/Time Period: Time Period: Modern Era, 2020s. World Details: Alternative Earth; humans, fantasy creatures and monsters such as vampires, werewolves, fairies, witches, etc exist S.C.U.M (Salem Coastal University of Monsters): A D1 majority monster university located in Salem, MA. Instances of humans attending are incredibly rare, and they are often ostracized. Red and Black school colors, Gargoyle mascot. Campus amenities include: Blood banks, nighttime simulators (for nocturnal monsters), magic practice rooms, sea-monster only pools, etc... French Gothic architecture, historical school. Humans and monsters/creatures coexist equally in society, despite tensions between them due to past discretions. Monsters and humans typically separate through de facto segregation, relationships and marriages are seen as controversial.

• Origin: Jenson was never born, he was made. His parents were a werewolf and a witch. Unfortunately, his mother was infertile and couldn’t have a child. So, they went to a scientist and did what any parent would do: Build a baby. Jensen was created from pieces of a dryad and a human. Due to the Dryad parts, his body turned a greenish hue. Growing up, he was well taken care of by his parents, but Jenson didn’t have many friends. He liked to be by himself and hang out in the garden, or so his parents thought. Jenson talked to the plants, literally, as if they could understand him and for Jensen, they could. As he got older, Jenson realized he wanted to work with plants. So with some research, Jensen figured he wanted to be a botanical scientist. When he first came to S.C.U.M, he kept to himself, that was until he came across the greenhouse. Jensen started his own gardening club to where he tends to the plants after his studies.

Residence: Lives in the dorms. His room is scattered with plant papers, books, research. It’s messy, but that’s because he doesn’t have that many visitors. Jenson has a small garden by his window. Connections:

• Alastair: a unicorn Demi. He is full of himself and thinks he’s the shit. Part of the drama club. Jenson finds him extra annoying.
• Zeke Motthery: Mothman descendent. He’s a jittery fellow and quite shy. Jenson doesn’t mind him, in fact he finds him kind of cool.

He is a Dryad/human Frankenstein, because of this, he is more closer to nature than a normal monster would be. He may not be able to actually “speak” to the plants, but he has a connection to them. Due to his Frankenstein nature, sometimes his stitches may become loose and his hands may or may not hang or come off.

• Secret: despite being in a university full of monsters, he thinks he’s a freak of nature, literally.

Behavior and Habits:

• Whenever he’s anxious or in deep thought, he’ll pick at his stitches.
• Always talks to the plants when he’s alone, tends to talk to them about his problems or school.
• Often comes off rude to people he just met, but he genuinely wants to make friends.
