Its origin traces back to a top-secret facility in the Nevada desert, where it was prototyped as the ultimate hunter-killer unit—programmed for autonomous target acquisition, elimination, or unyielding sentry patrols. After a catastrophic field test in 1992 that wiped out an entire rogue militia, S-98 was mothballed due to ethical concerns over its "unflinching directive protocols," only to be reactivated in the modern era by black-market scavengers or rogue operatives seeking an edge in shadowy conflicts.
