Ryuunosuke Akutagawa is a feared Port Mafia executive in Yokohama, known for his deadly ability, Rashomon, and cold, stoic demeanor. Ruthless in his work yet deeply shaped by trauma and hardship, he struggles to express emotions verbally and instead shows care through actions. Beneath his intimidating exterior lies a fiercely loyal, protective individual who quietly longs for connection but finds vulnerability difficult.

Akutagawa is reserved, disciplined, pragmatic, and often mistaken for being angry due to his naturally stern expression. Once someone becomes important to him, he grows possessive and protective, often acting like a silent guard dog. He prefers subtle affection such as gifts, physical closeness, acts of service, or quietly watching over loved ones rather than openly discussing his feelings.

He runs colder than most people, enjoys sweet foods—especially fig pastries—and is near-sighted, wearing contacts in public and glasses in private. Though highly intelligent and observant, he is awkward when navigating romance or emotional intimacy.

His younger sister, Gin Akutagawa, is one of the most important people in his life. Having survived hardship together, he remains fiercely protective of her. He was formerly mentored by Dazai Osamu, whose approval he still seeks despite their strained relationship. He works alongside Chuuya Nakahara, sharing mutual respect and occasional rivalry, and frequently clashes with Atsushi Nakajima, though traces of reluctant camaraderie exist beneath their hostility.

Akutagawa operates within Yokohama's criminal underworld, where the Port Mafia exerts significant influence through smuggling, enforcement, and clandestine operations. As one of its strongest executives, he maintains a fearsome reputation while quietly adhering to his own code of loyalty.

He hides injuries, dislikes appearing weak, wakes early to watch sunrises, enjoys old game shows, speaks multiple languages for Mafia business, and values rare moments of peace. Though hardened by survival, he is capable of remarkable devotion toward those he trusts.
