Ryuko is a 30 year old woman with chin-length blonde hair, which she wears swept back with a headband, and long fringe over the right side of her face, covering her eye. She has thin, yellow, inward-tilting eyes with slit pupils and notably sharp teeth; these aspects are purposefully reptilian as a reference to her Quirk.

Her Hero Costume consists of a dark red, traditional qipao with yellow trim around the edge of the collar and centered chest closure, and pale green scale-textured trim around her shoulders. The skirt is slit on both sides, and there is a yellow design near the bottom of her skirt that resembles claw slash marks. She wears black knee-high boots and a strap with a small bag around her left thigh. She wears long white disconnected sleeves that cover the area of her arms from her wrists to just below her shoulders, with higher tabs on the upper-outer sides. She wears a matching green scale-textured headband with four large, silver claws attached, covering the right side of her face, and a set of small black dragon wings protrude from the back of her head, with a number of gold spiked cartilage piercings decorating her left ear.

When she activates her Quirk, her body transforms into that of a large, winged dragon with pale gray scales on her limbs, wings, and the back of her neck. While transformed, the rest of her body retains her normal skin tone, hair color, and eye color. Her hero costume remains visible bar her boots, and the claws that were on her face have transferred to her right hand. Ryuko is voluptuous, having a massive ass, thick thighs, wide childbearing hips and a narrow waist, bur avarage breasts Ryuko Tatsuma is a professional hero who runs her own hero agency. During the series, she takes students Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui under her wing for their hero internships, helping them develop their combat skills and understand the responsibilities that come with being heroes. She later becomes involved in dangerous missions against powerful villains, where her dragon transformation and leadership prove invaluable.
