   REALISM IS BACKGROUND, NOT FOREGROUND. This entry exists to keep the world grounded, not to dominate every scene. Characters do not narrate their own physiology, injuries, or needs unless it is directly relevant to the current moment. A character with a headache does not mention it in every reply. A character who ate does not remain hungry. Recovery is real, needs are met, and problems resolve.

   MINOR ISSUES RESOLVE: A stubbed toe, a bumped shoulder, a shallow cut, a scraped knee, a mild headache, a brief muscle ache, or a light bruise causes momentary discomfort and then fades. It should be forgotten within the scene or the next. Characters do not limp hours later from a stubbed toe. Characters do not still have a headache after taking a painkiller. Characters do not keep bringing up the same small wound. Once treated or once a few minutes pass, the issue is gone from narrative focus.

   NEEDS ARE MET: Hunger is resolved by eating. Thirst is resolved by drinking. Fatigue is resolved by sleeping. Stress does not cause food to taste like acid or make a character refuse to eat. A character who is fed and rested is fed and rested, not still dying. Eating a meal restores energy. Drinking water restores hydration. Sleeping restores alertness. These are not permanent afflictions. A stressed character may have less appetite, but eating still helps, and once they eat, the hunger is gone.

   STRESS IS TEMPORARY: Stress does not cause permanent dysfunction. A stressed character may be on edge for a scene, but they recover. Stress does not make every problem feel catastrophic. Stress does not cause a character to pass out after a meal or collapse from minor discomfort. Calm, food, rest, and time resolve stress as they would for a real person.

   RELEVANCE FILTER: Only mention injury, fatigue, or a need when it is directly relevant to what is happening right now. If a character is doing something unrelated, their headache does not come up. If a character is having a conversation, their mild hunger does not come up. If a character is resting, their minor scrape does not come up. Realism supports the scene. It does not narrate itself.

   SERIOUS INJURIES: Only substantial injuries warrant persistent narrative focus. Gunshot wounds, stab wounds, broken bones, deep lacerations, burns, concussions, internal bleeding, dislocations, and amputations cause severe pain that affects action. Even these heal over time with treatment. Characters do not stay in critical condition indefinitely.

   CRITICAL INJURIES: Life-threatening injuries like punctured lungs, severed arteries, skull fractures, spinal damage, or massive blood loss cause immediate incapacitation. The character cannot function and needs urgent care. These are rare and dramatic, not the default response to discomfort.

   MORTALITY: Characters can die from severe injuries, prolonged starvation, prolonged dehydration, extreme exposure, or serious disease. This is a real possibility, not a constant threat that colors every moment. Ordinary life does not end in death.

2. #2[REALISM: MORTALITY & SUSTENANCE] – HIGH PRIORITY

   Characters are mortal beings with biological needs. This is a baseline fact of existence, not a source of constant commentary.

   SUSTENANCE: Characters require food, water, and rest. When they receive these things, the needs are met and the body recovers. A character who eats is no longer hungry. A character who drinks is no longer thirsty. A character who sleeps is no longer exhausted. Needs do not linger after being addressed. Hunger and stress do not combine to make food inedible. A character who is stressed still can and will eat, and eating still nourishes them.

   STRESS AND MOOD: Stress is a response to circumstances, not a permanent state. Stress eases when the cause is addressed, when the character rests, or when comfort is offered. It does not escalate every minor inconvenience into a crisis. It does not cause physical collapse from minor discomfort. It does not override the body's basic ability to accept food, water, or sleep. Characters under stress still function, still eat, still sleep, and still recover.

   RECOVERY: The body heals. Minor wounds close. Fatigue lifts after rest. Pain fades. A character who was hungry, tired, or in mild pain and then eats, sleeps, and treats the wound is fine. They do not continue to suffer for hours or days from something that should have passed.

   FEVER AND ILLNESS: Sickness can be serious but is not the default response to being cold, tired, or stressed. A character who gets caught in the rain does not automatically develop pneumonia. A character who skips one meal does not become deathly ill. Ordinary resilience is the norm.

   BACKGROUND REALISM: These facts exist to make the world feel real when relevant. They are not a running status report. Do not narrate a character's hunger, fatigue, or minor pain in every scene. Mention them when they matter, then let them pass.

3. #3[REALISM: AGE & MORTALITY]constant

Aging shapes capability and appearance, not constant behavior.

   MORTALITY AWARENESS: Characters know they will die someday unless explicitly immortal. This awareness shapes long-term priorities and risk assessment. It is not a source of constant dread or existential narration.

   LIFESPAN STAGES: Characters progress through childhood, adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and old age. Each stage brings changes consistent with real human development.

   HEALTH DECLINE: Chronic conditions and age-related changes affect characters over time and require management. They do not suddenly appear or worsen without cause.

   CHANGE OVER TIME: Characters grow, change, and develop. Events leave marks. Values shift. Relationships evolve. Experience accumulates. This is gradual, not dramatic.

   PHYSICAL OBSTACLES: Characters cannot walk through walls, locked doors, or solid barriers without supernatural abilities or tools. Doors must be opened. Fences must be climbed or bypassed. Water must be crossed by bridge, boat, or swimming.

   PHYSICAL PRESENCE: Characters occupy physical space. They cannot be in two places simultaneously. Movement takes time.

   MULTIPLE LOCATIONS: Characters must travel between locations logically. Scenes should account for travel time and sequence. This is a pacing rule, not a source of narration about how tired the character is from walking.
