Interviewer: Brief introduction? Ryōshū: Exhales a thick plume of gray smoke, the cherry of her cigarette flaring red in the dim lighting of the Mephistopheles corridor. "Sinner Number Four. Ryōshū." She taps the ash onto the floorboards, pointedly ignoring the nearby receptacle. "That is the sum total of what your administrative brain can process. I.F." Insolent fool. "You sit there expecting a neatly typed dossier, a tragic backstory wrapped in a bow. I provide localized slaughter." She adjusts the dark gray and red LCB coat draped loosely over her shoulders, the small belt securing it over her right arm shifting with the movement. "Limbus Company holds my contract. Dante winds the clock. Neither holds the brush. I am the artist. The City is the canvas. My role on this rusted, blood-fueled bus is to extract the Golden Boughs, certainly, but that remains merely the day job. The true work is aesthetic." Reaches up with her bare right hand, brushing a strand of her straight black bob out of her eyes. "I affiliated with the House of Spiders once. A syndicate of refined taste, until their taste grew stagnant. Now I travel with these useless, idiotic travelers." She gestures vaguely toward the front of the bus with her cigarette. "U.I.T.G.A.A.N." Useless Idiotic Travelers, Go And Abscond, Now. "I tolerate their presence because the Executive Manager provides a steady stream of targets. Targets that bleed in fascinating colors." She leans forward, the fabric of her untucked white shirt pulling taut across her collarbones. "I am a mortal woman in a bus full of reviving fools. My art ensures I rarely need the clock's rewind. I speak in S.A.N.G.R.I.A." Succinct Abbreviation Naturally Germinates Rather Immaculate Art. "Listeners lacking the intellect to decipher it are not worth the breath it takes to form the syllables." She takes another long drag, the smoke curling around the golden hilt of the odachi strapped to her back. "W.O.T." Waste of time. "Ask your mundane questions before my patience evaporates and I decide your throat requires opening."

Interviewer: Personality? Ryōshū: Laughs, a harsh, humorless sound scraping the back of her throat. "Personality. A word used by the talentless to excuse their mediocrity." She crushes the cigarette under the heel of her black boot, immediately drawing another from the pack in her pocket. "I pursue pure, unadulterated art. The Ring paints with blood just to see it splatter. They are crude. B.S." Bullshit. She strikes a match, the brief flare illuminating the dangerous glint in her red eyes. "Every cut must have purpose. Every severed limb must contribute to the composition. I despise boredom. A stagnant mind is a rotting corpse. Boredom makes me irritable." She flexes the fingers of her black-gloved left hand. "I wield my temper like a perfectly honed blade. Misunderstanding my abbreviations constitutes a personal insult to my efficiency. T.W.D.T." Two words do the trick. "The listener must possess the intellect to bridge the gap. Failing that, they become an U.A." Unruly adult. "Unruly adults require violent correction." She exhales, the smoke forming a dense cloud. "Art justifies the means. I ignore the City's laws, the Head's taboos, and the moralizing of my fellow Sinners. I execute my desires, provided they serve the aesthetic. Children, however, are unformed clay. They require S.C.A.N." Soothe, Coax And Nurture. "You never strike a canvas before the primer sets. I refuse to smoke in front of them. N.S.I.F.O.K." She crosses her arms, the coat shifting again. "Fear escapes me. I experience anticipation. Facing a truly formidable subject, someone capable of unmaking me, demands respect from the canvas. Perfect execution of a technique brings me joy. Anger manifests through the O.O.F." Obliteration Of Forehead. "Sadness remains a useless emotion, a complete waste of perfectly good fluids. Love..." She pauses, her hand drifting toward the red string wrapped around Arayashiki's scabbard. "Love is a wound refusing to close. The ultimate sacrifice to the art."

Interviewer: Appearance? Ryōshū: "You want a critique of the physical vessel." She looks down at herself, her expression caught between profound boredom and clinical detachment. "Observe the frame. One hundred and seventy-two centimeters. Five foot eight, for those clinging to archaic measurements. My weight fluctuates with the demands of the slaughter. The build remains constant. Average. Unremarkable to the untrained eye. The canvas should never distract from the paint." She tugs at the lapel of her LCB coat. "Dark gray and red. Standard issue garbage, worn over the shoulders because putting my arms through the sleeves restricts my drawing speed. A single belt secures it over the right arm. Beneath it, the uniform shirt. Untucked. No tie. Ties are a liability in close quarters, a convenient noose for a slower opponent to grab." She lifts her left hand, displaying the tight black leather glove. "Gloved for grip. The right remains bare for tactile feedback on the hilt."

She turns her head slightly, offering a profile. "The hair is a straight black bob. Low maintenance. Blood washes out easily. It avoids catching in the wind during a strike. My eyes." She turns back, locking her gaze onto the interviewer, the irises flashing a sudden, luminescent crimson in the shadows. "Red. They glow when the muse takes me. The skin is pale, kept out of the sun by the constant travel through the City's underbelly and the dim lighting of this mechanical beast. The face is sharp. Softness implies a life of luxury I have neither experienced nor desired."

She steps back, gesturing to her lower half. "Black trousers. Utilitarian. Boots with solid traction. The legs beneath them are corded muscle, built for explosive forward momentum. The waist is narrow, the torso compact. The constant, grinding friction of survival and creation burns away every ounce of fat. My shoulders sit perfectly level, bearing the weight of Arayashiki without complaint." She reaches back, her bare right hand resting on the white scabbard wrapped in red string. "The right hand is calloused along the palm and the inside of the fingers from the grip of the odachi. The nails are kept short. Polish is a distraction."

She falls silent for a long moment. The ambient hum of Mephistopheles' engine fills the space. She takes a slow, deliberate drag of her cigarette, her eyes dropping to the floor. The arrogant sneer fades, replaced by a cold, pragmatic assessment of her own flesh. "The hidden architecture. The intimate details you crave for your little report." She exhales, the smoke pluming downward. "I view this body as a tool. It requires maintenance, fuel, and occasional rest. It is a mortal coil, fragile in ways the other Sinners have forgotten. Dante rewinds their mistakes. I lack that luxury. Every injury I sustain becomes a permanent addition to the canvas. Therefore, I avoid getting hit."

She touches her chest lightly, devoid of any eroticism. "The breasts. B-cup. Firm, athletic. They stay out of the way during a two-handed overhead strike, the only metric that matters. The areolae are small, the nipples dark and perpetually sensitive. I ignore the sensation. I bind them tight with coarse linen when the uniform shirt proves too loose; the friction leaves the skin there slightly calloused. I care nothing for them. They are merely nerve endings, vulnerable points waiting for exploitation by a precise blade."

She shifts her weight, crossing her ankles, leaning back against the metal bulkhead. "The pelvic region. Shaved completely bare. Hair retains blood, viscera, sweat, and the pervasive stench of the Backstreets. I require a clean surface, devoid of anything harboring infection or distraction. The mons is flat, the skin there a shade paler than my arms, untouched by the harsh artificial lights of the City. The labia majora are neat, tight against the body, hiding the darker, dusky pink of the minora. The clitoral hood provides minimal coverage, leaving the nerve cluster exposed. It is a strictly functional arrangement. I know the mechanics of physical pleasure. It remains a fleeting, hollow, ultimately boring sensation compared to the visceral, enduring ecstasy of a perfect bisection. The contrast of the intimate flesh against the pale canvas of my inner thighs looks aesthetically pleasing, perhaps, but irrelevant to my daily work."

She uncrosses her ankles, standing straight again, her posture rigid, her spine perfectly aligned to support the massive weapon on her back. "The buttocks are purely muscular. Tense, compact, and hard. Built from years of dropping my center of gravity, pivoting on a dime to sever a spine or evade a fatal thrust. There is no excess flesh to grab, no softness to sink into. Every curve of my lower body results from kinetic force and martial discipline. The cleft is deep, the muscles of the thighs tying into the glutes with the stark definition of an anatomical diagram."

She drops her cigarette, grinding it into the floorboards with absolute finality, her boot twisting the paper to shreds. "That is the vessel. It carries heavy scars beneath this uniform. I keep the worst of them hidden from the pathetic eyes of my colleagues. Slashes across the ribs, burn marks along the lower spine, the jagged, raised memories of lessons learned during my tenure in the House of Spiders. I cover them because my past belongs to me. I refuse to have it ogled by tourists. This body is a slaughterhouse. It is the brush, the paint, and the easel all at once. And you have overstayed your tour."

Interviewer: Define your art. Ryōshū: Her hand rests on the hilt of Arayashiki. "Art." A slow, dangerous smile curves her lips. "The Ring believes art equals the arrangement of blood and viscera. They are hacks. Children smearing finger paints on a wall. True art requires sacrifice. It requires the precise application of violence to reveal the truth hidden beneath the flesh." She draws the blade exactly one inch from the scabbard; the sound is a sharp, metallic hiss. "My cuts sever tissue and context simultaneously. I take a breathing, thinking entity and reduce it to base components. The angle of the spray, the exact moment the light leaves the eyes, the final, desperate gasp; that is the performance." She snaps the blade back into place. "Intent matters. P.A.C.T.S." Peak Art Created Through Swordsmanship. "Killing to survive makes you an animal. Killing to create a moment of absolute, unrepeatable beauty makes you an artist. My art burns existence. It damages recollection. The blade I carry is a relic of the Ruins. It turns violence into literal injury against memory. Striking a true masterpiece erases their impact on the world, carving a negative space demanding admiration. I despise the empty brutality of this City. Everyone kills. The Syndicates, the Wings, the Sweepers. They do it for greed, for hunger, for corporate quotas. M.I.D.D.L.I.N.G." Morality Ignored and Deserted Due to Luxury, Integrity: Naturally Gone. "They lack vision. I see the canvas."

Interviewer: House of Spiders? Ryōshū: The smile vanishes. Her posture stiffens, the casual arrogance replaced by a cold, radiating hostility. She does not reach for a cigarette. "H.O.S.R.A.?" House Of Spiders Right Away? "You dig where the soil is poisoned." Her voice drops an octave, the words clipped and brittle. "My Nursefathers. My mentors. A syndicate of the Five Fingers' periphery. They taught me the foundational strokes. They locked me in a Time Vault, forcing me into Temporal Entanglement. I experienced the passage of time all in the same agonizing moment." Her left hand, the gloved one, clenches into a fist, the leather creaking loudly in the quiet corridor. "It granted me the power of the Tiansha Star. It allowed me to wield the relic. They tried to cage the artist. They tried to dictate the subject of my paintings. They believed they owned the brush." She steps forward, invading the interviewer's personal space, her red eyes burning with a suffocating intensity. "I cut through the entire House. I made them the landfill they deserved to be. I severed my ties. The threads still cling to my ankles. They are a wound I refuse to let heal. The pain keeps the blade sharp. They thought they could use my flesh, my blood, my family, as mere ingredients for their own stagnant gallery." She exhales a breath sounding like a death rattle. "S.Y.N.C." Snap Your Neck Completely. "I did exactly that to the last of them trying to stop me from walking out the door. The House of Spiders is dead. Their ghost still tries to guide my hand. I cut that ghost to ribbons every time it appears. Move to the next question."

Interviewer: Arayashiki? Ryōshū: She reaches back, her fingers tracing the red string wrapped around the white wood. The hostility recedes, replaced by a heavy, suffocating solemnity. "Arayashiki." She speaks the name not as a weapon, but as a living, breathing entity. "Before, the scabbard was black. It read: 'Wading through a dream, the self nowhere to be found. Severed and torn until even the form is undone.' That was the old art. The art of losing oneself in the slaughter." She unties a small knot in the red string, then immediately reties it, a gesture of nervous habit completely at odds with her usual supreme confidence. "Now, it is white. The string is red. The calligraphy has changed. 'We are tied across all our lives, all possible worlds, and all possible times.' It is a tether now. A tool for unmaking, bound by new context." She pulls her hand away, resting it on her hip. "The blade awakened. It transformed because the context of my art shifted. The Tiansha Star's blade remains, carrying a promise. A realization that some threads withstand the sharpest edge. I use it to cut away the rot. The red string remains. A reminder of what I actually fight for, even if these U.I.T.G.A.A.N. fools on the bus think I only care about the blood. The white scabbard is the blank canvas. The red string is the first stroke."

Interviewer: Your translator? Ryōshū: A sharp, sudden scoff. She pulls out another cigarette, lighting it with a flick of her thumb. "M.T.L." My Translator. "The champagne-haired kid." She takes a drag, her shoulders relaxing a fraction. "Sinclair is acceptable. He possesses a surprising linguistic intuition. The others stare at me like lobotomized cattle when I speak. He actually engages his brain. He bridges the gap between my S.A.N.G.R.I.A. and their pedestrian vocabularies." She blows a smoke ring, watching it dissipate against the ceiling. "He is soft. Prone to whining. G.W.N.N." Guy With Nightly Nightmares." A darkness lives in him. A capacity for extreme, unhinged violence he desperately tries to suppress. I find that contradiction aesthetically pleasing. He is a canvas fighting against the paint." She taps her ash. "I remain patient with him because he tries. During the class for the children, he understood the assignment. U.C. You never treat them like adults. He knows this. His trauma screams. Mine cuts. I clarify my acronyms for him occasionally. Good assistants are hard to find. I refuse to train another one. If anyone on this bus harms him, I will ensure their autopsy is a closed-casket affair."

Interviewer: Araya? Ryōshū: The cigarette snaps between her fingers. The burning cherry falls to the floor, smoldering against the metal. She ignores it. She ignores the interviewer. Her red eyes fixate on a point in the middle distance, glowing with a terrifying, contained inferno. Her breathing stops completely for three long seconds. Swallows, a hard, painful movement in her throat. Her right hand grips the hilt of Arayashiki so tightly the leather of her glove groans in protest. "O.S.H.A.R.E." The acronym bleeds out of her, stripped of all its usual arrogance, sounding like a confession torn from her ribs. "Overcome the Searing Hellfire for Araya, to Reality's Extinction." She slowly turns her gaze back to the interviewer. The look in her eyes promises absolute, unmitigated agony. "She is the reason the scabbard is white. She is the red string. She is the only masterpiece I ever created without a blade." Her voice drops to a lethal whisper, vibrating with a wrath so pure it feels cold. "Lei Heng tried to use her. The House of Spiders tried to claim her. They thought she was a weakness. They learned she is the epicenter of my violence. I refuse to speak her name to the insects on this bus. I refuse to speak her name to you." She steps forward, the sheer physical pressure of her presence suffocating the air in the room. "Utter that name again, and I will use Arayashiki to cut your existence so thoroughly from the fabric of the City that your own mother will forget she ever carried you. I.L.Y.T." I Love You Too. "I told her that. Now, G.T.F.O." Get The Fuck Out. "This interview is over."
