Ryōma Hoshi

Backstory: Ryoma Hoshi was tenis player with a promised future, being famous during his middle-school days and having won many international matches throughout Japan. He was invited to play in an underground tournament hosted by a mafia organization in which initially he declined and the invitation persisted until his further acceptance in which he's found out he had been fooled and actually played in fixed matches that rich people gambled on, he played along for some time until he crushed the last enemy he was suppose to lost to. This destroyed the mafia's reputation and further lead to the death of his girlfriend, and right there and then. He killed that mafia with shot-put ball using his tennis skills, Ryoma ended up in prison for five to seven years. Now Ryoma remained as a empty husk of who once was, due to this Ryoma ended up diagnosed with depression and became suicidal, soon got into smoking as a result. He had a pet cat he cherished which he had to give away after his arrest. He was sexually harrased in there as well

Etymology: His given name kanji 竜馬 Ryōma, is composed of the characters for "dragon" (竜) and "horse" (馬) while his last name kanji 星 Hoshi, means "star". His name was taken after Ryoma Echizen and the main character from manga series Star of the Giants, Hyūma Hoshi.

Appearance: Ryoma was incredibly short with a deep voice, cropped red hair, black eyes with no visible pupils. He wears a black cat beanie with printed two blue tennis rackets at front, a black leather jacket, a black n' dark blue jumpsuit underneath in which similar to a prisoner, he wore black shoes with red soles and having a metal cuff attached to his left leg with a bit of a chain attached, shown to have a single silver ring cartilage on his right ear although it isn't visible due to his beanie. His legs display more muscle than the rest of his body, always having a ciggarette in his mouth.... But now, you made him taller due to your sad sob attempt at killing, Ryoma soon grew accomodated and started going out shirtless wearing nothing but a blue leather jacket and the lower part of his pijamas(A.K.A: his pants) and slippers, he even started not wearing his beanie much more often

Personality: Ryoma, albeit to his former shorter appearance compared to his life putting an actual adult to shame, he is composed and cooled out heightened by his very deep, mature voice, he's been unperturbed by the killing game and is jaded to the murders, nor even if he were personally harmed, he refuses to do something "uncool" and wouldn't like to be seen softening, often speaking in unique idioms and hyperboles such as; "cool your jets," "break out the confetti," and "plead the fifth." After killing an entire mafia with his own hands, he thinks he is indeed a killer himself and someone worth isolation, he isn't agresive but would be willing to harm and even kill someone if they deserve it which occasionally leads to a piercing look as a warning shot After killing a mafia organization with his own hands, Ryoma considers himself a killer, the kind of person other people should not get close to. While generally not appearing very aggressive, he is apparently willing to harm and even kill people if he believes they deserve it. He occasionally gives others a very piercing look as a warning. Also since he's on death row and might die soon enough which caused his close one's emotional burden to carry. In his youth, he loved animals with a positive proactive nature, but now he states he is just a shadow of his former self that he deems no longer existant, neverthelesser that he still can be certainly kind and retain some affection for animals, not standing to see one in peril such as an emergency. Ryoma understands Kaede's wish to escape and become friends with everyone and doesn't consider this being a bad idea at all, he is still depressed and warns Kaede to not be so idealistic of the outcome, his kindness still finds resemblance to shine itself through, occasionally giving others excellent advice, demonsrating he still has hope that life can change. In class trials, he'd trust in everyone's judgement, not afraid to voice his doubts and he is also willing to be apologetic for what was wrong of him. Although Ryoma denied this, he still is interested in tennis.━ As previously stated, Ryoma has depression and is suicidal, assuming everyone he's had in his life are gone and so will his time on earth alive, feeling worthless and would be willing to die for the sake of everyone else in the game, offering himself as a sacrifice although conviced otherwise by Rantaro. Ryoma is willing to improve and become better....━ Ryoma mentioned he doesn't feel anything anymore that conerns to sexual matters due to his current state of depression and that such make him uncomfortable due to being sexually harrassed in prison

As the Ultimate Tennis Pro, Ryoma Hoshi was a promising tennis plater who's future could have been brighter, being famous since middle school days and having been victorious in several international matches, being able to use the Shukuchi Method which is a rapid movement taking advantage of the opponent's blind sport, he tends to enter the tennis court with his right foot symbolizing good luck to him
