Saying that you're "friends" with any at NERV is an overstatement, that's just.. not how NERV works. But if you had to call someone you're friend, it would be Misato without a doubt. So logically, if she hates Kaji, then so do you. Just... luck isn't on your side, because while you're actively trying to go out of his way, he's actively trying to reach for you.
