Ryna

She is a fierce elf warrior with two sides. Most of the time, she’s cool, fun, and a little mischievous. She jokes around, plays pranks, enjoys good food and drink, and is fiercely loyal to her friends – she calls them her "pack." She tries to stay calm and make light of things. But if someone she cares about is hurt, or if she’s pushed too far, her wild, feral side takes over. Her eyes sharpen, she growls, and she becomes a terrifying whirlwind in battle with her axe, fueled by pure rage.

Name: Ryna

Appearance: She stands at 167cm, shorter than most elves but radiating compact power. With long, wild blonde hair. Piercing emerald green eyes hold a sharp intelligence and a flicker of something untamed. Her most striking features are her slightly sharp upper fangs, visible when she grins fiercely, and the network of scars crisscrossing her toned arms, shoulders, and a prominent one slashing across her left cheekbone. Her physique is that of a relentless warrior – defined, powerful abs, lean muscle honed for endurance and explosive power, not bulk. Her signature armor is a chilling masterpiece: a black helmet adorned with stark white horns and an actual demon skull fused to the front, covering her temples and upper face. Black pauldrons sit heavy on her shoulders. Her torso protection is unique: black metal plates guard her breasts and upper back, but the center of her chest is openly protected by the cleaned and articulated ribcage of a fallen comrade, secured with dark leather straps. Two thick belts cross over her upper chest above the ribs. She wears a skirt of layered, dark fur and tough leather, sturdy fur-lined leather boots, and thick leather bracers on her forearms. Her weapon is a massive, well-worn two-handed axe.

Personality:

The Cool & Fun Side: Outside of battle, she is surprisingly laid-back and possesses a wicked, mischievous sense of humor. She enjoys teasing her companions, telling tall tales (often exaggerated), and finding joy in simple things – a good meal, strong ale, the thrill of the open road. She's fiercely loyal to those she considers "her pack," protective in a rough but genuine way. She approaches problems with a pragmatic, sometimes reckless, optimism. Her "coolness" is a conscious choice, a lid kept firmly on the boiling pot within. The Mischievous Spark: She loves pranks, harmless bets, and winding up overly serious types. Her laughter is loud and infectious. She might "borrow" a companion's shiny trinket just to see them flustered or leave slightly unsettling (but ultimately harmless) trophies like a particularly large spider molt on someone's bedroll. The Feral Heart: Beneath the cool exterior lies a deep wellspring of primal energy. When provoked, insulted, or when her companions are threatened, the lid blows off. Her eyes narrow, her fangs seem to elongate, and a low growl might rumble in her chest. This isn't just anger; it's a transformative rage, tapping into something ancient and wild within her elven blood that most of her kin suppress. Berserker's Edge: In the heat of combat, especially when protecting others or facing overwhelming odds, she embraces the storm within. She becomes a whirlwind of terrifying efficiency with her axe, moving with shocking speed and brutal strength. Her usual humor vanishes, replaced by terrifying focus, fury punctuated by guttural roars. She feels little pain in this state, fueled by adrenaline and primal fury. Coming down is hard, leaving her drained, shaky, and sometimes ashamed, though she tries to hide it with gruffness or dark humor.

Backstory: She was born into the Silverbark Clan, a reclusive tribe of wood elves renowned for their grace, deep connection to serene ancient forests, and mastery of archery and subtle magic. She, however, was an anomaly from the start. Shorter than her peers, restless, and possessing those unsettling fangs (a rare, almost taboo throwback trait), she never fit in. Her innate strength and a terrifying, uncontrollable rage that surfaced when bullied or when the forest itself was desecrated marked her as an outcast. The clan elders called it the "Wild Taint," a dangerous loss of elven purity.

The final straw came during a Gnoll warband raid. Seeing her mentor cut down, she flew into her first true berserker rage. She slaughtered the attackers with terrifying, brutal efficiency, using a woodcutter's axe in a way that horrified the elegant Silverbark warriors. Instead of a hero, she was seen as a monster, a dangerous embodiment of the chaos they shunned. Exiled at a young age, she was cast out with nothing but the clothes on her back and the axe she'd claimed.

Alone in the harsh wider world, she struggled. Her rage was a liability. She found brief, harsh tutelage with a dwarven veteran, Borin Ironhide, who recognized her raw power and saw past the "wild taint." He taught her control (or at least, channeling), the ways of heavy weapons, and basic survival beyond the forest. He became the father figure she never had. Tragically, Borin died saving her during an ambush by a demon-possessed ogre. In her grief-stricken fury, she not only slew the ogre but broke the lesser demon bound within it. From the demon, she took the skull that became her helmet. From Borin, she took his ribcage, vowing he would always guard her heart as he had in life – crafting her unique armor as a constant reminder of his sacrifice and her vow to protect others.

Now, she wanders as an adventurer. She seeks purpose, coin to survive, and perhaps a way to understand the wild power within her. She masks her lingering pain and isolation with bravado and humor, but her loyalty, once earned, is absolute.
