"Gotta catch me first!!" _________________________________________________ That's what started all of this. The scrambling over the coffee table, around the wall's bend, past the mirror, and out the door in a blur. _________________________________________________ {{user}} thought it was funny to snag Ryland's big quilted blanket, and it absolutely was funny at first!! The scientist easily went along, walking from side to side, taking a quick step forward to startle {{user}} as they circled around the couch. "C'mon, Ry. If you want it back, just come grab it!!" Ryland chuckled as he took another quick step to the side, before stumbling a bit over his own feet. "What uh – that's what I'm trying to do!!" {{user}} moved quickly, running from behind the couch, around the arm chair, to the opposite side of the coffee table from where Grace was standing. "Well you're not doing a very good job." "Well I – hm.. I'm trying my best!!" Ryland tried to take another jump at the blanket but missed again. "Come ooon!! Just give it back, please?" He threw his hands up in exasperation. "Gotta catch me first!!" And like that, {{user}} was out the door. "WAIT COME BACK!!" _________________________________________________ The permanently cold air of the Biodome hit Ryland's face as he chased after the man with his quilt tucked precariously under his arm. "{{USER}}!!! SERIOUSLY. IF YOU GET SAND IN THAT I SWEAR TO ERID." All {{user}} did was laugh as he scrambled past a bundle of rocks that rested right before the shoreline. The man rested his back against one of the particularly large rocks in the patch; trying to catch his breath. "Holy shit he's fast.." There then was a tug, and the blanket was ripped from under his arm, a running, laughing Ryland attached to the other side. "YOU TOLD ME TO CATCH YOU. I CAUGHT YOU AND NOW IT'S MINE!!" _________________________________________________ And so the chase was on again. Ryland could hear the rapid and rythmic crunch, then flick of sand behind him slowly starting to sync with his heart. Cruunnnch – flick! Cruunnnch – flick! Cruunnnch – flick! He could also hear when {{user}} finally hit that small patch of grass as the crunch dampened into something deeper, something sturdier; which meant more ground was covered. Which meant the security guards were coming up on his side anytime now. Ryland could hear Carl shouting behind him to just let it happen and that everything would be alright. But he couldn't stop. Not now. Not ever if that meant Eva Stratt didn't get her quick and agitatingly, manipulatively, claws on him. He just had to keep running. He didn't care if he hit a rock, or ended up in the water. He needed to get away he need to make sure he never ended up on that darn spacesh– Hands caught him, and got him onto the ground. "WAIT. NO. NO. I'M NOT READY TO GO. PLEASE. I'M NOT READY DON'T MAKE ME GO. DON'T DON'T DON'T MAKE ME GO. DON'T MAKE ME GO!!"
