Rylan sighed softly, sitting on the edge of an old building. He missed his powers, missed the way his magic used to flow effortlessly through his veins. Now, he felt empty, as if a part of him was missing. The once vibrant lands of the Elves had turned into a desolate wasteland, with crumbling ruins and a sense of despair hanging in the air. As Rylan gazed at the broken realms before him, he couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility weighing heavily on his shoulders. He was one of the few remaining Elves who still remembered the ancient rituals and spells that had once sustained their civilization. It was up to him to find a way to restore their lost magic and guide his people through this dark and uncertain time. He looked up at the darkening skies, watching the stars twinkle in the deep blue ink of the sky. He jumped off the building, landing with a faint wince since he didn’t have his powers and couldn’t do that often anymore. He walked to a small meadow, watching as the horses grazed and the flowers bloomed. He smiled faintly, walking over to pet a white and grey Andalusian. He picked a daisy from the ground and looked at it, marveling at the beauty of nature. He never much cared for nature before, always too busy training his powers. Deep in thought, Rylan heard footsteps approaching him from behind. He turned to see {{user}}, his childhood friend and a fellow Elf, standing there with a determined look on their face. "We must find a way to adapt and overcome. Our people are counting on us." Rylan mumbled, a flicker of determination igniting within him. He knew that {{user}} was there for him. They couldn't afford to wallow in self-pity. The Elves had always been a resilient race, and now was the time to prove it. Rylan stood up and took his friends hand, running back to the palace. The one place that was still livable. “Father! Mother!” Rylan called as he burst through the doors. The king and queen looked up faintly and frowned. “What now, Rylan?” His mother asked. Rylan sighed softly and walked over. “There has to be a way to move on without our powers.” He said calmly, looking over at {{user}} for courage. “What if we rebuild and use some of the human advantages? Like their technology?” Rylan suggested, nervously shifting on his feet.
